A Bad Premonition

“Ulrica and Quintessa’s team will attack the first barrier, Lingo. After that, Ingo’s team will attack the second barrier, Fulmort. Drusus's team will attack the third barrier, the Moon. Finally, Militiades will attack the main base, the Tane Clan Palace. ”

Carissa pointed to the area that had been marked in red on the map as she spoke. She raised her head and said, “I hope everyone is ready. Our target today is the Tane Clan. If something unexpected happens, we must retreat immediately. Do you understand? ”

“Your Highness, what if the Royal Vampires show up?” Quintessa asked worriedly.

Carissa replied coldly, “They won’t show up. I’m sure the Werewolves are keeping them busy in the North. According to our spies, the majority of the vampire armies had already been sent there to defend their borders. As power in the South has dwindled, we will attack it tonight. ”

All four of Carissa’s subordinates as well as fellow fighters thought about her words and agreed. However, Quintessa is still worried.

“But, Your Highness, this is the first time we are attacking the vampires. Maybe, you can wait here and wait for us to come back? If anything goes wrong, you can help us. But if you are also there ... ”

Quintessa didn’t finish her words. But, everyone understood what she wanted to say.

If Carissa goes to the battlefield and something unpredictable happens, their species will never exist again.

Carissa frowned. She thought about the matter in her heart for a moment before her eyes blinked with determination.

She is their leader and she is not a coward. If something goes wrong and she can’t handle it, doesn’t that mean what she’s learned so far is useless?

“No. I will not let that happen. If something goes wrong, you must follow my instructions and retreat to our castle! Do you understand? ” her eyes shone with a cold light.

Quintessa sighed and knew that no matter how many times she tried to persuade this stubborn best friend of hers, she would never be able to change her mind.

Once Carissa is determined to do something, she won’t back down until she gets it.

“Understood, Your Highness.” she nodded.

“Okay. We’ll leave in five minutes. Line up your team and send them my order.” Carissa took the map and rolled it up before stuffing it into the bag behind her.

Militiades were just about to leave the camp when Carissa called his name, “Militia!”

Militiades turned and walked back inside, “Your Highness?”

Carissa looked at him and said in a serious tone, “If anything goes wrong, I will depend on you to lead our team back to our castle.”

After she spoke, she took one of the glowing bracelets on her wrist, “I need you to wear this bracelet.”

Militiades was at first confused, but when he saw the bracelet, he immediately retreated and knelt tremblingly, “Your Highness, I don't dare!”

Carissa frowned, “This is my order!”

Militiades raised his head and looked at Carissa’s stern face. However, how would he dare to wear a Soul Huntress’s bracelet?

This is a tradition kept in ancient books. If the Soul Huntress appoints someone to represent her, she will give that person one of her glowing bracelets.

The people who represent them will then have the power to rule the people under them.

“Your Highness, why-?” he didn’t dare finish his words when he saw Carissa’s eyes that had already turned dark.

“Militia, you're crossing the line!”

Militia bowed his head immediately in fear. How stupid he is! How could he forget that he could not question the decision of a Soul Huntress?

“Do you dare disobey my orders, Commander Militiades?”

“I don't dare!” Militiades immediately accepted the bracelet and wore it on his right wrist.

“Let’s go.”

Carissa walked out of the camp and Militiades hurriedly got up before following Carissa out.

Outside the camp, the hunters were lining up with their leaders in front.

After making sure all the hunters were present and ready to move, Carissa turned her face to look toward a city that showed a dim light from afar.

She raised her hand and said, “Attack!”

In the blink of an eye, dozens of light blue meteors can be seen flashing towards the city with lightning speed.

Carissa closed her eyes and heard screams of fear and moans of pain from afar.

She waited for fifteen minutes before she opened her shining eyes and sped towards the city.

She saw a true bloody scene for the first time in her life. Although she has had many horrific experiences during her training, it is not as bad as what she sees now.

Corpses littered everywhere and everyone fought violently and with strong vigour. The fire was burning nearby houses like a flood.

The vampires who were close to the fire could no longer hold it and burned to ashes in the blink of an eye.

Carissa watched what was going on around her as she walked leisurely towards the main base.

The hunters seem to have discovered a great weapon to destroy their enemies when they notice a few more of the vampires have been burned to ashes.

Now, they no longer try to defend themselves from the vampire's attack and start pushing them towards the fire.

The number of the vampire army then gradually decreased. Carissa breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that victory was already in their hands.

She focused her gaze on the figures that were standing in front of their palace. There are only six vampires left for them to eliminate.

Militiades, Quintessa and Drusus stood opposite them with drawn swords.

“How dare you step into my territory!”

The man in the middle held a cane in his right hand. He must have been alive for decades, but looking at his face, anyone could have thought he was in his thirties.

Carissa smiled cynically when she heard his words. She wanted to see if they still had other tricks up their sleeves.

“Your territory? I’m afraid your territory will be gone today, King Tane. ” Militiades replied and smiled mockingly.

There was a small amount of blood sprayed on his face and clothes. So are Quintessa and Drusus.

If one looks closely, one will see that they have also suffered minor injuries.

Duke Tane laughed out loud, “Today, I’m going to show you what the consequences are for challenging me. Go!”

Carissa and the others wait for them to attack. However, the figures stood still without moving at all.

Carissa watched her surroundings with caution. A bad premonition arose in her heart.
