1. Win Win

As per usual, I have had another successful day at work. I just wish my personal life was just as successful. "Jake! Did you really just land the Champa account?!" Lin asked as she walked into my small office. I smiled as I watched her run over to me and I stood up to hug her. "I did and I am not sure how I was able to do it but I did." I responded with a hint of shyness. Lin is the loudest of our marketing group and she is also the one who coordinates all of our work functions.

"I couldn't be more proud of you!" Lin said as she still hugged me so tight that I could feel her breast pushing up against my chest. This made me even shyer before I pushed her away and whispered, "Lin! We are at work." Lin chuckled as she dropped her arms beside her body. "Oh, right...Well, what will you be doing to celebrate?" "I don't have any plans. I will probably just do what I always do." I responded. Lin looked a bit disappointed before she smiled a fake smile to then say, "Well, I will be celebrating with the rest of the team after work tonight. Tim landed a big account himself today. Want to join us?" I shook my head in disagreement before I sat back down on my office desk chair. "No. Thank you, though." I said before I went back to looking at my computer screen.

Lin stood by my side for a few before she finally walked over to my office door and said, "If you change your mind, just text me and I'll send you the location of where we decide to go." I could tell she sounded a bit disappointed by her tone. I looked up at her and smiled which made her smile before I said, "Will do. Thank you." I knew that would make her happy. She nodded in agreement before she walked out of my office.

I was able to finish the remaining paperwork that comes with signing a new contract. I had about another twenty minutes left in my work day so I decided to clean up the mess I had made during my long work days. I felt someone staring at me as I was straightening up the paperwork on my desk. I looked up and saw Tim standing in my doorway. He is so tall and wide from his big muscles that he almost didn't fit in my door frame.

"Hey, buddy." Tim said in his deep sultry voice. It immediately caused chills to run down my spine. I tried not to blush but it's almost useless to try. Tim is the most popular man on our team. He's tall, muscular, and has a smile that would make you agree to anything! He is also the employee of the month for the past six months. I have yet to confirm if he likes men because he never dates anyone from our firm. He is also a very private man.

"Tim. Hi." I respond with a nervous tone. Tim smiles before he says, "I heard about your win today. Congratulations." I smile and look away as I pretend as if it's not a big deal that Tim is in my office right now. "Thanks. I couldn't have done it without your help." I respond as I smile again. Tim now smiles even wider than before and I could feel my knees go weak. Without realizing it, I sat down on my office desk chair. Tim walks in and sits slightly on my desk next to me.

I am overwhelmed by his cologne and how large he truly is. "Lin said that you don't have any plans to celebrate tonight. I thought she might be mistaken. These big wins are to be celebrated. I was looking forward to celebrating with you. Since we both worked very hard together and wouldn't have signed our accounts without each other." Tim said in a sincere tone. I looked up at him a bit shocked that he would admit to my hard work in his contract.

Tim usually doesn't speak so candidly like this so it took me a minute to take it all in. Tim then turned to face me before he leaned in to get close to my face. He was now looking into my eyes and I could feel his breath on my lips before he said, "So, I knew that Lin had to have got it wrong when she said that you would not be coming out with us tonight." I nodded in agreement as I smiled almost swooning for this beautiful man. He pulled away quickly and stood up before he adjusted his suit to say, "Good."

He began to walk towards my office door as he said, "I will wait for you downstairs." I was frozen in my seat trying to take it all in. I wasn't planning on going out but Tim made it clear that he wants me there and that I am to ride with him there?! My phone beeped with a text notification that caused me to snap out of it. When I looked at my phone, it was from Lin. "I am so happy that you will be coming with us after all! I will be riding with the girls if you need a ride." Lin said in her message.

I realized then that Tim was waiting for me! I stood up and grabbed my work bag before I put my phone inside of it. I turned off my computer screen and stood up before I pushed my desk chair under the desk. I walked out of my office and closed the door. Annie looked up at me and asked, "All done?" I turned to face Annie, my secretary, and said, "Yes. Have a good night Annie." She smiled and bowed before I walked to the elevator. I walked out to the lobby and found a group of girls standing by the main entrance talking to each other.

I tried to get by without being noticed but Lin saw me and yelled, "Jake!" I smiled and waved at her before I continued walking towards the front entrance of our building. I could see that she began to frown a bit as she saw me walking faster. I walked out of the building and took in a deep breath before I noticed Tim's car already parked in front of the entrance. Tim got out of his car and closed the door behind him. He smiled at me and said, "Let's go."

I smiled back and nodded in agreement before I walked over to him. Tim then walked me over to the passenger side of his car and opened the door for me. I got in before he closed my door and got in on his side of the car. As soon as he put on his seatbelt he asked, "Is she wanting to talk to you?" I looked confused but when I looked out of the window, I saw Lin standing by the entrance of the building looking at me. She looked upset but also concerned. I looked back at Tim before I shook my head in disagreement.

Tim smiled and nodded before he took off towards the restaurant he chose to celebrate their wins that day. I noticed that Tim must have taken off his suit jacket before he got into the car because he wasn't wearing it. He had rolled up his sleeves a bit before he said, "I've noticed you like to stare at me a lot. It's cute." I blushed and turned my face away from him before Tim said, "I just wish that you and I weren't working for the same firm. I have a strict rule to never date fellow employees. If it wasn't for that I would be hitting on you right now."

My heart was now racing so fast that I thought it would be jumping out of my chest soon! "But I started thinking..." I heard Tim say as I tried desperately not to scream. "If you are as interested in me as I am in you..." Tim started to say before he reached out and grabbed my hand before he continued by saying, "Then, I am willing to make an exception to my rule." I am sure my face was completely red at this point. I didn't know Tim could be this direct!

Tim then pulled over to the side of the street before he turned to face me and ask, "Well? What do you say?" I couldn't look at him but I was trying so hard to not scream Yes! Before I could say anything, Tim said, "Before you answer, I want you to know that I have conditions." I looked confused before I looked up at him while he still held my hand. "Our relationship would have to remain private. Meaning that no one at work could know about us. I don't introduce my partners to my parents or family until it's serious. This means for the first two years, we would have to be very careful to keep us a secret." Tim explained.

I removed my hand from Tim's hands and he looked concerned before I asked, "Let me guess, you have not come out to your friends or family?" I looked down at my feet before Tim reached out for my hand again and said, "Actually, everyone I care about knows that I am Bi-Sexual. I have dated men and women in the past. My family has not met any of them because I haven't found someone I am serious about in years." I looked confused before I asked, "Then...Why the secrecy?"

Tim smiled and said, "Because, I don't like to let anyone know about my relationships in the beginning. Things are so fragile during this time. I don't want people influencing what we could have. But, at work, I am very private about my life in general. It's why you will never see pictures of my family on my desk." That's right! I remember looking at his desk and thinking that he could use some personal items on it.

I looked away for a moment before Tim said, "I know that what I am asking of you is a lot. Please take your time to think about this. I really do like you and have since the day you joined our team. The only reason why I am making this exception to date a coworker is because I can't take it anymore. Working with you these past two weeks has made me realize that my fascination with you is not just based on looks. I truly do like everything about you."

I felt my face turning red again before I smiled and nodded in agreement. "I will think about it." I responded without looking at him. I couldn't! He just admitted to his feelings for me that he has had for some time now! I have felt the same about him but I didn't know if he even liked men. I decided to just work closely with him and see if I could find some sort of clue about what his sexuality is but I wasn't successful. I didn't even know he was this direct of a person. He truly is very private when he is at work!

Tim smiled and turned to face his steering wheel but kept holding my hand before he began to drive again. "Until you decide, I will flirt with you privately." Tim said. I smiled and looked at our hands. His hands are so big that my hands look like a child holding his father's hands! Tim then parked next to the restaurant before he got out and gave his key to a man in a suit. I got out and met Tim on the sidewalk. "Remember, what is happening between us, stays between us." Tim says as he puts on his suit jacket and adjusts his sleeves.

I nodded in agreement before he began to walk towards the restaurant entrance. He held the door open before I walked in before him. "Jake! Tim! You guys are finally here!" I heard a voice screaming from my left before I could recognize the screaming was coming from our party. Tim waved and smiled before he put his hand behind my upper back to guide me towards the back of the restaurant. We arrive at the set of tables that was pushed together to seat our large party.

"Jake, you made us all proud today." My boss said as he stood up with a glass of gin in his hand. I smiled and bowed before I said, "I couldn't have done it without the help of Tim." Everyone cheered before my boss said, "He's even humble!" People chuckled a bit before My boss said, "Ladies! You better wife him up quick before he's not available anymore." People began to laugh before I blushed. "I'm trying." I heard Tim whisper softly as he stood next to me.

I looked up at him with a look of shock before Tim chuckled and said loudly, "Alright, alright! Let's not tease the poor kid." Everyone shushed each other before Tim continued by saying, "He may be our newest recruit but he is definitely turning out to be a true contender!" Everyone then stands up as they clapped before Tim grabbed a drink from the table that was placed by the waitress and said, "Let's hear it for Jake!"

I smiled before I bowed as everyone raised their glasses and drank their drinks. "Thank you, everyone. I really appreciate it." I said before everyone smiled and sat back down to talk amongst themselves. My boss said, "Tim, I see you have a pet now. I told you it would happen. You picked the right one." Tim smiled and I looked confused before I asked, "Pet?" My boss and Tim chuckled before they sat down.

I sat down too before Tim said, "I was my boss's pet when I first joined this firm. He taught me everything I know." I smiled and nodded but I didn't like the idea of being thought of as a pet. "Relax. It's just a term of endearment. I never actually called Tim my pet." My boss said before he chuckled. I laughed with my boss but it was more to assure him that I wasn't upset. Not truly anyway, but I still didn't like it. The evening went on as they usually do at these team outings.

Once the second round of after-dinner drinks was distributed by the waitress, I then realize that Tim had not been drinking the entire night. Before I could ask him why he grabbed my hand under the table! I froze and I am sure all of the colors on my face left! He interlocked our fingers! I could feel my heart thumping in my chest and I thought everyone could hear it too. Tim kept talking to our boss who was sitting across from us as if nothing was happening.

From the corner of my eye, I saw the waitress heading toward us again. I stood up out of fear of getting caught. Causing our hands to release and I said, "I think it's time for me to get going." People began to wave at me but Tim didn't like the idea that I was leaving without him. I could tell by his expression that he was not happy. However, I knew he wanted to keep things private so I said, "My ride is already here. Please make sure that you all get home safely." Everyone bowed and agreed before Tim excused himself from his conversation.

He stood up before I could leave the table and asked, "Did you hire a cab or something?" I nodded in agreement. I tried not to blush because people were paying attention. I could tell that Tim was struggling to find a way to take me home without making people talk about us. "Didn't you two ride here together?" Lin asked. Tim looked at Lin with a bit of frustration on his face before I turned towards Lin and said, "Yes. I don't want to be an inconvenience to Tim again."

Lin noticed my look of frustration before she sat back down. "Tim! You are being a bad senior! Give your pet a ride home! It's an order!" My boss demanded as he slurred his words from having too much alcohol. Tim chuckled and said, "Yes. Sir." I turned to face Tim but before I could say anything, Tim said, "I won't take no for an answer! You won a big account for us. It's the least I could do." I tried to hide my smile before I said, "As long as it's not out of your way."

Tim looked serious before he said, "Have a safe night everyone. I am leaving. I'll see all of you tomorrow." Then Tim grabbed my bag that was hanging on my seat and began walking towards the restaurant entrance. I waved at everyone and sprinted behind Tim. Nothing was said until we got into the car and on the road. "Are you upset?" I asked. Tim kept looking forward as he said, "No. I am worried that I wasn't able to control myself."

I looked up at him with a bit of shock and confusion on my face. Tim then reached out for my hand before he interlocked our fingers again. "Don't you ever do that again...I saw the waitress coming to us. I know you were worried that we would get caught. But you must trust me." He said. I was a bit embarrassed before I asked, "Don't let go of your hand?" Tim smiled before he stopped at a red light and looked at me. "You don't mind me holding your hand, do you?" Tim asked.

I smiled and said, "No. I don't mind." Tim smiled before he began driving again. We remained silent the entire drive but he never let go of my hand. Sometimes he would rub my thumb with his thumb softly which would cause me to feel chills all over my body. Once we arrived at my condo building entrance, he turned towards me after turning off his car. "Jake, I know that you are still thinking about what I asked...but...will you answer me one thing?" Tim asked as he looked worried.

I nodded in agreement as I was already lost in his eyes. "Do you like me as much as I like you?" Tim asked. My face blushed before I looked away and nodded in agreement. Tim grabbed my chin with his other hand before he brought my face back to look at him. He then rubbed the back of his fingertips on my cheeks before he said, "Good." He leaned in and gently kissed my lips. I closed my eyes and felt his soft lips on mine. His fingers made their way down to the back of my neck.

I could tell that he wanted more from me but I wasn't ready to do that yet. I pulled away slowly before I smiled and softly said, "I want you but I'm not ready yet." He smiled and said, "It's okay. I don't mind waiting if it's your first time." I blushed and pulled away completely before I said, "I am not a virgin. I just don't do things so quickly." I think Tim could tell I was uncomfortable with his response because he sat back in his seat before he said with a sad tone, "I am sorry. I didn't mean to assume."

I felt bad because my response was kind of cold. "Don't be sorry. You did nothing wrong. I am just a bit old-fashioned when it comes to dating. Or whatever we are." I explained. Tim chuckled and said, "You are right. We are a bit unconventional. But, I like that about us." I looked up at Tim who was smiling at me. He got out of the car and then came around to my side before opening my door. He then grabbed my hand and walked me to my elevator.

"Old-fashioned it is. I will walk you to your door and wait patiently until I gain your approval to make you mine." Tim said in a confident tone as he looked down at me with a look of desire in his eyes. I gasped at how daring he just was in front of my lobby guard! I heard the lobby guard muffling a chuckle behind me before Tim winked at him. "Tim!" I shrieked trying not to laugh.

The elevator dinged and the doors opened before I walked in and pulled Tim in with me. I moved too quickly which caused Tim to move too fast and before I knew it...I was pinned to the back wall of the elevator by Tim. His hands were on each side of my face before he leaned down and kissed me again. My heart was racing so loud that it caused Tim to chuckle and whisper in my ear, "I am glad to know for sure that you do like me."

I covered my face before I heard the ding of the elevator again and the doors opened. Tim chuckled before he grabbed my hand and said, "Let's go." I was so flustered and trying to catch my breath that I didn't notice that we passed my condo's front door. "I think we got off on the wrong floor." Tim said before I began to chuckle and said, "No. I just wasn't paying attention." Tim stopped walking and it happened to be in front of my door.

Tim looked at me and for the first time, I saw him blush! I chuckled and said, "This is my door." Tim then looked at me with a look of desire so I quickly unlocked my door and ran into my condo before I closed the door behind me. He leaned his head on my door as I looked through the peephole. "Not fair." Tim said before I chuckled again. He heard me and laughed too. I see him grab his phone before he puts it to his ear.

My phone rings before I grab it and answer it. "You escaped this time. I will patiently wait till I can see those beautiful eyes again tomorrow. Good night my pet." Tim said in a deep tone of voice filled with pains from desire. I felt those chills again before I said, "Good night." I hung up and stood there watching him leave with a big smile on his face. I sat down on the floor because I could no longer hold myself up.

Tim is the only man who has made me weak when I am around him. I just don't know how to feel about him. His request to be private worries me and his control over me really scares me. Not to mention, the fact that he calls me his pet...I don't know how to feel about that either. I finally was able to stand up and head to my room to put my things away. It was almost midnight when I realized that I hadn't worked out all day that day.

There was no way that I was going to be able to fall asleep. I work out every day to avoid losing sleep. When I don't work out, I end up not being tired enough to fall asleep. I just knew that because I hadn't worked out this morning like I usually do that I was not going to fall asleep tonight. I put on my gym clothes and grab my gym bag before heading back to the lobby.

I own a small bike that I use to get around locally. I got on my bike and once I arrived at my gym, the lobby had a man behind the counter that I have never seen before. I locked my bike and walked into the lobby. "Where is Pak?" I asked and the man looked up before he said, "Welcome! Oh, Pak? Yes. He no longer works here. This morning he fell asleep and dropped a cigarette on the wrestling mats. It caused a small fire that caused him to lose his job."

I gasped as I reached the counter to scan my member card before asking, "Is that why I couldn't work out this morning?" The man shook his head in agreement before he said, "Yep. The gym was closed while we cleaned up his mess and the fire department approved of our reopening." I looked around and noticed it was a bit empty before I asked, "Are you new here?"

He shook his head in disagreement before he said, "I use to work at this location but when they hired Pak, they moved me to a location further away. I am just glad to be back. This location is closer to my condo." I nodded in agreement before I said, "Well, then...Thanks for the information. I am Jake. I normally work out in the mornings so this may be the last time we see each other."

The man smiled before he said, "I am Bun. I work the night shift all the way till morning. I may still see you as you arrive in the mornings." I noticed the tone and knew he was flirting with me. I smiled and said, "Maybe." Bun smiled even wider before I began to walk away. I headed to the men's locker room before I put my gym bag in the locker. I heard the shower running before it stopped. I grabbed my bottle of water and my hand towel before closing my locker.
