Chapter 7

Every~

Cassandra

There are times I think life was meant to be unfair.

If everything was fine and daisy, there would be no hell for people who had deranged thoughts in their mind and sickling unquenchable thirst for power and more power.

After running a three downright protocol on my new foundation, happiness was an understatement to what I was feeling.

But right now, standing in front of my kids and a stranger that looked like a Greek God and maybe a specimen from Bianca's romance book, I don't know what to say or feel.

I had a DNA paper in front of me that says a lot. A lot of things I wished I had heard years ago before leaving.

I dropped the paper. I didn't even need a paper to identify the man in front of me.

He was handsome and the resemblance was too striking. Even a blind man would recognize them as family.

He was yet to say a word. His dark blue eyes bored into my body and my soul.

He dropped his curved leg down and stood up. Alessio did same.

Now I know where he got all his characteristics from.

He tucked his hands into his pockets and Alessio did the same.

Typically, a daddy's boy!

They looked so good together, all of them.

"Ms. Estella." He called, taking a step forward.

"Or should I say, Ms Forger." He smirked.

To say I was shocked was an understatement. I was perplexed, surprised!

When I changed my name to Estella Harriet, I paid a huge sum of money to get that bullshit done and with everything and everyone present, I was sure no body would tell.

"Don't be shocked, tesoro. I have my ways." His smirked deepened, as he took another step forward till he was everywhere.

His cologne smelt like wood and citrus, a combination that almost sent me to overdrive when I took a sniff.

"My Kids will be coming with me." He whispered so only me could hear.

I don't know if it was my imagination or I was just thinking too much about him, I felt his lips graze my earlope. It was faint but I felt it.

"I think you're losing a nut in your skull, if you think for a second I'll leave my kids to you." The words I spew were nothing but a knife meant to stab.

I don't know him. And he probably never expected the girl he fucked in a club would be pregnant with his kids, but that wasn't my business.

There was no way I'd leave my kids with someone I barely knew.

I expected a fierce retort. A demand or maybe a command. He looked like one of those men who would want anyone to fall on the floor they walk. His Three piece Armani suit and the Rolex on his wrist said a lot about how heavy he was but I didn't care.

He laughed. Like literally laughed at me.

Although angered by this, his voice, the deep timbre of his laughter made my belly somersault.

"Are you sure you want to go down that lane, tesoro? I'm not use to talking twice, I'd choose my next words if I were you." He said, his jaw clenching.

"They're three years old." I said.

"I know, tesoro. Trust me, unlike you,I remember every detail of that night correctly. Every position, every moment, every touch, every kiss." He leaned down, eyes boring mine.

"Every stroke."

"You're delusional." I mumbled breathlessly.

He looked rather chill, a nonchalant expression on his beautiful face as he looked towards the kids.

"I know you went through a lot-"

"You don't know a thing about me, just because you read a file about me doesn't mean you know a damn thing." I gritted my teeth, keeping a low voice.

A nudge on my knee made me look down.

"Are you yelling at Papa, mama?" My little girl asked, looking between her father and I.

Father.

The word leaves a dangerous trail of fire down my throat.

I had never thought there'd be a time, my kids would have someone to call a father.

And this was not just any other man trying to be responsible for another person's kids. This was their father, their flesh and blood.

Suddenly everything sounded just too heavy to accommodate.

"I don't want to fight you. We just met each other and they kids are listening. Can we talk later?" I questioned. "Please." I added, and if I'm not mistaken, his eyes softened before it was replaced by a cold expression.

"Okay. But do expect me tomorrow." He said, looking back at the kids.

He walked towards them and squatted to their heights, a bright smile on his face.

This was a sight for sore eyes.

They looked so beautiful together, so perfect. So right. Like it was meant to be.

"Will you come tommorow, Papa? I'll like to discuss more business programs with you and then draw out some analysis." Alessio said with an expression that matched that of his aloof father.

"Of course. You can list them out and when I come back tomorrow, we'll see what we can do, yes?" He said and stood up.

"We'll see each other again, tesoro." And with one last glance, he walked out of the lobby.

"You never lied, mama. Papa is in New York and we're going to see him tommorow." Alessio jumped up and gave me a kiss.

With a fake smile on my lips and weak legs, I gathered them together and walked to the elevator, so we could go us see Bianca.

When we got to Bianca's office, my kids were the first to kick the door open and ran to their exhausted looking Aunty.

"Aunty Bianca!!" They all yelled, as they squished the remaining life out of her. She hugged them back, regaining her strength.

"Aunty Bianca! We found Daddy." Bianca was the first to talk.

"You found Daddy?" She chuckled dryly, looking up at me with a raised brow.

"Yes, here it is." Alessio brought out the DNA paper and handed it to her.

He picked it. I wonder what kind of brain cells my children had. Definitely not one for children but adults.

"I don't understand." Bianca said, a scowl on her face.

"Damien Struck? As in the Damien Struck that controls the whole country, who are we talking about here. I thought it was a Grey?" She asked, dropping the paper on her table.

Indeed the bartender had called him Grey that night.

"Grey Gary is Papa's assistant." Alessio said, looking between me and her Aunty.

"What do you mean he controls the whole country?" I asked, taking a seat in front of her.

"If we're talking about the same man then it's him. He owns the top biggest buildings, hotels, casinos, restaurant..name it. He owns everything. He's a walking money machine." Bianca said with a bright smile.

"I can't believe it was him all these while and we were in search of his assistant." Bianca groaned.

"Well, that's not my business. I will not be giving my children out to anyone. I don't fucking care how rich he is. I came here to pay some certain people back and when I'm done, I'll leave. He doesn't even know our house address or how to contact us and.-"

"I gave Papa our house address and Mama's contact." Alessio butt in, giving me a cheeky smile.

Bianca busted into laughter as she stared at me.

"This will be fun, Cassandra. I just think something big is going to happen. This is like standing at the top with everyone under your feet." She mumbled.

Was she insinuating that I use him to get what I want?

Even though I wanted to...was it going to end well for me and my heart?

Trust me, the man looked anything but holy and the way my hormones betrayed at the lobby makes me want to rethink my decision.

Guess will have to put Damien Struck, the man that owns the whole country to test.
