Five Years Later
It was the largest party of the year, the best among all parties ever. The crowd was massive, even when the party was the for the rich among the rich. The tickets were sold for very high amount but yet over 2000 were sold. A lot of people travelled across the country just to come for the show. The Vixens show was one of a kind to watch and as someone in the fashion industry or a model who wanted to be recognized, you had to be there to look at the lastest fashion of the year. Liam was among one of the many audience, beside him was Stella, now his fiancee. "I can't wait to be one of the first persons to purchase the lavender gown." Stella squealed happily. She had almost of the collection of Velvet Vixen's products. Even Liam had a hard time have a collaboration with them. His company's request had been rejected so many times he wondered if the unknown CEO had a grudge against him. His company was one of the top five and a lot of people would want to have a collaboration with him, except Velvet Vixen. The owner had rejected his company and gone for some even below his causing him anger and confusion at the same time, particularly when they gave no reason for the rejections. "Liam?" "Liam!!" Stella called, tapping him. "Huh?" "Why do you keep on spacing out? Are you okay?" She asked sweetly. "I am, Stella. You can just focus on the party and rest assured." He smiled and she nodded. "Good evening, everyone." The mc suddenly mounted the mic and everyone turned to look at podium. "Look, it's time." Stella said happily as she took her glass of wine, sipping it slowly. "Please let us give a round for applause for the brain of Velvet Vixen as she comes ahead to give her speech." He said and all hands started clapping. Few seconds later and she was yet to be seen. Then suddenly someone came out. "Good evening everyone. I'm sorry to announce to you that the CEO suddenly had an urgent matter to attend to which needs her attention so I'll be your host for tonight as her substitute." Murmurs were suddenly heard throughout the hall as they had gathered for the best party in the year with high hopes that the unknown CEO of Velvet Vixen would be revealed. And yet she had managed to escape from the situation once again, sending in her assistant who was the face everyone knew. "I am Doreen Walkers, assistant of the CEO to Velvet Vixen and I introduce to you our one of kind, exquisite, made by the CEO herself....the first type of dinner gown of it's kind, Lavender dress!!!" As the beautiful lavender gown came into view, the hall was once again into an uproar as everyone clapped thunderously. "Oh...my God!" Stella couldn't hide her excitement. "I'm definitely getting that dress for as many millions it would worth." She exclaimed. "Don't you agree, Liam? You have to get that dress for me." She squealed and turned to Liam when she didn't hear a reply. His eyes were fixed on the dress completely as it was fixed gorgeously on the mannequin and suddenly he thought he had seen the design somewhere before. "Liam, are you alright? Are you worried because the CEO didn't grace the occasion? I'm sure you'll get the meet her somewhere else." Stella said, trying to calm him. Liam just sighed and turned to look at her with a smile. "Actually, I feel a little bit dizzy. Why don't I get some fresh air? I'll come back in some minutes." He said and Stella nodded before he walked out of the hall. *~*~*~ "I'm coming!" Alexandra gritted her teeth as she whispered into the phone, rushing out of the back door that led to the hall. She was still in her exquisite and luxurious dress as she rushed out. It was a long gown and was a little bit full so she had to hold them up, so that she won't trip, considering the high heels she put on. "Alexa, you made a mistake keeping me here with the kids, they are killing me." Cassidy, her best friend replied on the phone. "I'm really sorry, ok? Look, I'm about to get into my car." She said and pressed the button that opened the car door immediately. In a panic, she ended the call and fixed her seat belt. Her daughter had just dipped her hand into a bucket of hot water meant for soaking towels as Cassidy was an hair stylist and she had left the kids with her in the shop. Unknowing to Cassidy, Jade had sneaked into the closed room and played there, her toy fell into the bucket and in an attempt to pick it, she had dipped her hand. Now, she was at the hospital and her twin brother, Jace kept on crying, confusing Cassidy the more. Alexandra's car came to a sudden stop when she almost hit someone. She blared her horn loudly, a gasp escaping from her lips in shock. "Oh my goodness." She muttered and breathed in and out multiple times to get rid of the shock that she had almost killed someone with her car. She turned off the car and got out slowly, hoping the person didn't have any injuries. "Hey, are you okay?" She muttered, touching his shoulder. The guy knelt down on the floor, his eyes closed and his head in-between as he gasped several times. Upon hearing her so familiar voice, he looked up. "Alexa?" He gasped. "Liam." Alexandra muttered.Alexa felt a familiar scent as she placed her hands on the victim's shoulder."Are you okay?" She asked, looking at him curled up and acting so shocked. She felt him looking up and she bit her lips slowly, praying within her that he wasn't hurt, so she could just get out of here immediately."Alexa?" She heard Liam's familiar voice and she stared at him in shock. It was really him, it was really Liam, her ex husband. She had this gut feeling she would bump into him when she came into the country three days ago, but she didn't expect it would be so soon and definitely not at her gala."Liam." She muttered slowly and immediately retracted her hand, when she saw him getting up."Alexa, you....""I'm so sorry." She muttered as she reached for her purse and removed a card from it, passing it to Liam."You can contact my assistant at any time to pay for the damages." She said curtly."Alexa?" Liam muttered as she gave him the card."If you are not satisfied, you can take it to court. But t
"Don't tell her what happened. If you do, she'll kill you." Alexa muttered, right before Louisa walked in. "Why did you flop the gala?" She asked immediately. "Flop? I didn't flop it, mom. I just left the avenue." She replied, handing her mother a glass of wine. Louisa stared at her for a while and then dropped the glass on the table. "Exactly. Why'd you leave it? More than half of the people there were waiting to see the face behind Velvet Vixen and you just disappeared like that." She argued further. "I'm pretty sure they are just there for the dress." Alexa muttered as she sipped her wine, glancing at Cassidy with a knowing smile. "Yes. For you and the dress you made. I mean, Doreen did a good job and all that but no one could introduce your perfectly made work as well as you can." Louisa said further. "I agree with you, mom." Cassidy said and Alexa eyed her immediately. "I know, Cassy. You are way smarter than Alexa here." "Mom!!!" Alexa gasped and Cassy smirked at her.
The next morning, Alexandra woke up with a banging headache. She turned slowly to see Cassidy all sprawled on the bed beside her. She sighed slowly as she got up from the bed, wondering how she and Cassidy got into the room. After washing her face, Alexandra walked to the counter to pick up her phone. "Oh my God. It's 10am." She gasped as she saw the time and rushed out of her room. Jade and Jace were already late for school since a long time."Jace!" She called as she rushed into their room, only to meet the bed empty."Jace?""Jade?" She called out but no response, then her eyes suddenly caught the note on the bed."We weren't late, mommy. We actually called aunt Doreen with your phone and she'll take us to school. So you can rest assured and go on a date with aunt Cassidy." She read out aloud and chuckled."Go on a date with Cassidy? Seriously?" She muttered as she smiled, arranging their bed slowly. She then remembered that they wouldn't have anything to eat at school and she si
Liam couldn't wrap his fingers around Eugene's statement and he blinked several times as he stared at the photo right in front of him. Alexandra was bending down right beside the two kids with a smile on her face and Liam could tell with every thing in him that those were his kids. Jace looked exactly like him and he could see it."Boss, do you think those are your kids?" Eugene could also see the resemblance but he doubted Alexandra would give birth to those kids without telling him. "Eugene, how old are these kids?" Liam asked, blinking slowly as he ran his fingers over the photo, his eyes glued to them."They'll be five in two months." Eugene said and Liam sighed, fisting his hands slowly."How could Alexandra do this?" He muttered. He had no idea she was pregnant for him and he had divorced her that way without any emotions. How could she keep a secret as huge as this from him? These were his children, he had a right to know them but Alexandra had just taken that away from him.
Doreen walked towards Alexandra who was fixed on a piece of clothing for almost an hour, she had been creating different designs of dresses and her eyes and hands were hurting already. But she was doing it to take her mind off Liam, Doreen had told her that he wanted a dinner meeting and even though she refused, she couldn't deny that it was getting into her thoughts and disturbing her greatly. But Liam wasn't worth thinking about and she was going to channel all that energy for a new world breaking piece."Ma'am, its almost 3pm." Doreen said and Alexa turned."3pm?" She asked, her eyes widening as she immediately unrolled her sleeve, wearing her shoes. Her children would have closed about an hour ago and would be waiting for her. She wasn't paying attention to them lately and was beating herself mentally for that. Even though she knew she was tired and so stressed out, she wasn't ready to take a break."I'll see you tomorrow, Doreen." She said as she picked her handbag and her phone,
"What?" Liam blurted out shocked by his sudden outburst."Isn't Alice your niece? I heard her call you uncle very clearly. Aren't you here to pick her up?" Jace asked, his brown eyes piercing Liam's own as he folded his small hands, standing in front of his sister. Jade also looked at Liam as if supporting her brother's question."Actually, her driver's going to pick her up." Liam chuckled nervously as he rubbed his hands together."Why would her driver pick her up when her uncle's here? Is that how much you hate your niece? I'm suddenly glad I don't have an uncle, what about you, Jade?" Jace asked."Me too." Jade shrugged, supporting her brother's words."No, it's not that I hate my niece. She won't let me drive her home anyway. And I wasn't even here for to see her." Liam tried to explain."You weren't even here for her? She wouldn't let you drive her home?" Jace asked unbelievably."But you didn't even make an attempt." Jade pointed out."Right, Sally? If your uncle came to your sc
Liam drove into his compound directly and walked into his house, where Eric was seated calmly waiting for him. He was still Liam's lawyer even after a long time."Good evening, Mr Jordans." He greeted, still professionally."Eric, please." Liam said and Eric laughed slowly as Liam took his seat opposite him."There's something I need to confirm urgently, Eric." Liam said without wasting time and explained the whole scenario to Eric. Eric looked shocked for a long time after listening to every single word."Do you mean to say that Alexa has two kids for you?" He asked after everything."Yes, Eric. I can't believe she didn't let me know about my kids." Liam muttered slowly."So what are you planning to do right now?" Eric asked."What else? Of course, I want to be able take care of my children." Liam said quickly and Eric sighed."I'm afraid that might not be possible. Have you tried talking to Alexandra yet? If she agrees, then it's all good. If she doesn't, you can't take the children
After spending a lot of time with Antonia, Alexa remembered it was almost time for the meeting with Liam and she suddenly felt bad again. She was chatting so freely with his mother but was going to be so cold to him. He deserved it though, a jerk like him doesn't even have the right to talk to her. She took Jade to her office first and instructed Doreen to take her home after picking Jace from school, also promising to give her a little extra tip."Okay, are you ready to go meet Liam?" Cassidy asked on the phone as Alexa prepared to go downstairs."Yeah." Alexa muttered with a sigh."Alexa, make sure to make him feel a lot of regret for loosing you. You have to dress provocatively, okay?""Why do I have to put in effort because I'm going to see Liam?" Alexa asked as she applied her nude lipstick and smacked her lips together lightly."Why do I have to put in effort because I'm going to see Liam?" Cassidy mimicked funnily and laughed."Then why are you applying more lipstick?" She ask
Cassidy sighed as she walked out of the place, her phone ringing right in her hand. She got to a quiet place before she picked up, her voice cheerful,"Hey." She muttered."You look really enchanting in that green dress, Cassy." His voice came out think, hard and in a murmur.Cassidy's brows furrowed tightly as she turned around, looking for where he might be, "Aren't you in Greece right now?" She asked. He had told her he would be travelling after she'd invited him for Alexandra's wedding. He wasn't supposed to be here today and she knew it. It was all because his father and Stella had decided to move to Greece and leave New York, he had decided to escort them before coming back to reside here. So....Sam was not supposed to be here right now."I'm right behind you, Cassidy Miles." He said and she spun around, her hair brushing past his face. He ended the call, pocketing his hands as he stared at her."Cassy." He muttered. Her eyes brightened in a smile as she pulled herself rather th
"We'd still be going to Disney." Alexa said at 9 pm when Jade and Jace were going upstairs to their rooms to sleep. Jade ran back down the stairs and Liam smiled, knowing she was totally excited. Alexandra had called him in the afternoon and had updated him on all the details. He was the one who suggested the travelling to Disney land and he wanted it to fall on their honeymoon. Well, good news was, Alexa simply agreed."Are you serious, mummy?" Jade asked, hands clasped in curiosity, placed underneath her chin. She stared at Alexa, all the believing faith packed in her eyes, hoping it wasn't just a dream."Yeah, Jade. We are going to Disney next two weeks. Your daddy and I are going to get married again.""Aarghghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Jade screamed jumping up on her feet with an excited energy. Jace's eyes widened as he stepped down from the stairs and staggered backwards to look at his dad, a small smile on Liam's face."Daddy, is this true? You and mommy are going to get married
Daisy's mom scoffed lightly and smirked as she got into her car, driving off. She wouldn't dare to exchange words with Alexandra not when that could easily jeopardize Daisy's future with her kids. The kids would sort each other out.Alexa smiled softly at Daisy and looked at the kids, "I didn't't believe you guys could stand up like that and defend your friend. It's really beautiful." She said and Jade smiled at her."Why did you come to school after daddy dropped us?" Jace asked immediately."Your daddy forgot to collect your results for the session. It's being shared to the parents today. Jade, let see how well you will perform." Alexa said. She didn't really have to worry about Jace for the time being because he was a smart head but Jade...."Mommy. You know a lot have been happening these past months. I have been really stressed before my exams so don't get too scared when you see my result. Don't get mad either or angry. Just smile and pat me on the head once if I really failed
Jace sighed slowly as he walked into his classroom, his bag at his back as he walked in. The noises in the class stopped a little and he directly walked to his seat without even minding anyone beside him."Jace!!" Jade's voice rang in his ears when he'd barely had his seat and he sighed. She had been talking since they got into the car and even when they got to school, he had had to slip away from her so he would get into his class quickly, but here she was again."Jace?" Her face showed through the door as she peeped in. Her eyes brightened when she saw him and smirk curved her lips upwards."Guess what?" She asked loudly and he tilted his head to get a better look so he wouldn't have to get up from his seat."Daisy just transferred. She's not joining us for the new session.""What? How did you find out about that?""She told Alice this morning and Alice told me. She's actually leaving with her mom right now." Before Jade's words landed completely, she felt the whoosh of air beside
THREE MONTHS LATER"Let's congratulate Alexandra Chapman, the owner of the new Fashion Brand, Nyxoria." The announcer said and Alexandra walked up to the podium, her face a smile as she stood in front of the mic. "Thank you so much." She muttered."I couldn't have done this without you all. My family, I love you all. My friends who have been with me for the past few years, I love you. Liam Jordans, thank you for being right there with me. Jace and Jade, my kids, I'm so glad we all made it through. I won't have made it through without you all." She said and looked at everyone for a while."Ladies and Gentlemen, I want to welcome you to the world of Nyxoria. As we stand here tonight, we walk in a new part of enchantment through jewelry designs. From the details of our necklaces to the intricate designs of even the small cuffs and rings, we would you show you what it means to look heavenly. Once at the hospital, they all walked to the doctor's office who ran a fast test on Jace and returned quickly with the results."Is he okay? A fever?" Alexandra was impatient but Liam squeezed her hand giving her comfort for a while, at least, until she heard,"It's more than that." The doctor said and sighed, licking his lips, "I don't know if I should tell you this right now.""Tell us." Liam said quickly, "At least, we have to know to do something quickly.""Jace needs a bone marrow transplant. He has high risk lymphoblastic leukemia." The doctor said and Alexa's hand fell down to her side in shock."Wh-what?" Liam's eyes went wide open."He's just a kid...how...how this is possible?""Sorry to say, but leukemia is usually found in children. We are glad it is a cancer we can fix, so all we need is a donor for the home marrow.""Use me." Liam quickly said."Mr Jordans, you are still healing. Your bones have not healed enough yet." The doctor advised against it."What about me? You
"Congratulations, son. The inauguration would take place on Friday." Miller said with a smile. He laughed excitedly as he ended the call and everyone turned to Liam Jordans."Thank you for putting your trust in me." He said as she got up and gave a little bow in front of them before picking up his rod."You don't care to give us a little explanation or even apologize." "Thank you.....for waiting for me this long. I have made a lot of mistakes and I have really been out of it for a while, making me go crazy. One thing I can say clearly is that the past have been unmerciful but yet, here we are. If.... anyone of you, finds it uncomfortable to work with a man like me going forward, you have no choice but to quit because this time, Liam Jordans returns with full force."UPDATED NEWS!!!!!LIAM JORDANS RETURNS AT THE 97TH BOARD MEETING OF GLAMOUR HOLDINGS. IT IS BELIEVED THAT HE HAS RETURNED FROM THE LAND OF THE DEAD.HAVING OVERCOMED SOMETHING AS HARD AS A BULLET SHOT IN THE SPINE, LIAM
The door opened and Alexa stepped in, quickly going to Liam's room first, her eyes going through the small open space in the door. She heard a groan and she almost went it, but she suddenly stopped, her eyes widening. He was taking steps, his hands so tight on the trainer, his face clenched in a tight agonizing frown. It was obvious he was in pain, but he had stood up. It was one thing she hadn't expected. Iren came once a week and when he comes this time, she'll have the best news to give to him.Her mouth released a happy gasp and she immediately placed her palm over it so he wouldn't here her.Liam's eyes moved towards the door but he didn't notice her there, so he kept on going, more groans escaping from his lips. But she saw it, a step and two, then three. He was healing up. Her chest heaved up and down as she moved away from the door, unable to contain her excitement. She quickly opened her door silently and stepped into her room, pushing her face on the pillow as she let out a
"There is chaos, Liam. You have to get back to work as soon as possible. The shareholders are gritty, trying to get the company out of our hands. Liam, you need to get over this quickly.""I'm not going anywhere till I can walk again." Liam said."You can almost do everything except walking. Do you think that the wheels are actually for the weak? Even those on wheels can command power!" Miller shot, the sound of his stick hitting the ground wafting into Liam's ears."I'm not one of them ,Dad!" Liam shot, anger evident in his voice. He didn't want to do anything right now till he got himself back. In the past three months, he'd been getting better because of the amount of work he had put in. It had not been easy. At first, he'd been weak on the bed at the hospital, being taken care of like a baby. For the first time since he could remember, Liam couldn't go to the toilet by himself. It was one of the things which made him the weakest the most, having people change him like a child. H
