TYSHA
I barely slept after that. I couldn’t help but worry about Rue. Still, I stood on my ground and did not go back. But as soon as I woke up in the morning, I immediately got out of my room and checked where I left him.
To my surprise, Rue was nowhere to be found. He wasn't on the couch where I had left him, and a pang of disappointment washed over me, even though I had been the one to send him home after he finished eating. Gosh! I hated how much of a walking contradiction I could be at times!
“Tysha, you’re awake,” my father greeted me. He was with Mama who was unexpectedly holding a bouquet of red roses.
My lips parted a bit, knowing it was for me.
"We found this in our living room," Mama explained, handing me the bouquet of flowers. I accepted them, feeling a mixture of surprise and warmth as I took in the vibrant red petals.
RUE Damn, I’m exhausted! After coming home from work, I collapsed onto my couch. My head was pounding with a migraine, and I could feel a fever creeping up on me from staying outside Tysha’s house. As I rested, I gently massaged the bridge of my nose, trying to relieve the pain. Even after Tysha and I finally talked, my determination to pursue her didn't waver. Since then, I made it a point to send her flowers regularly. Sometimes, I'd even buy food for the staff at her parents' flower shop. Despite things being better between us now than they were a few days ago, I still couldn’t shake the feeling of missing her. I missed the things we used to do. Back then, working for hours didn’t exhaust me because I had peace knowing she was there. Now, it's like a void inside me. My mind is constantly preoccupied with thoughts, drainin
TYSHA "Didn't I tell you to take your meds?" I scolded Rue, though my tone was gentle. "See? Up until now, you still have a fever." After we finished the dinner I prepared, I remembered to remind him to take his medicine. "I forgot," he reasoned, a hint of a smile tugging at his lips. I could sense that he still wasn't over the fact that we were okay now. Similarly, I was relieved, but my primary concern was his health. "Here. Take this," I instructed, handing him a tablet of medicine. His blue eyes remained fixed on me, and I couldn't help but feel self-conscious about my appearance. My knees threatened to turn to jelly under his gaze. Who wouldn’t melt under the intense stare of someone as handsome as Rue? But I managed to keep my composure. I played the role of caretaker, directing him to his bed like a m
TYSHA “Are you ready?” Rue asked me. We were inside my room and he was waiting for me to prepare for the ribbon-cutting of our flower shop later. There was this underlying anxiousness within me about how the first day of Serenity Blooms would turn out. I’ve been overthinking about that since last night. Like, what if no one comes to our opening? What if no one buys a bouquet from us? Gosh! That would be heart-wrenching. “I don't know,” I answered as I fidgeted my fingers. Rue caught my hands. “Calm down. Everything will be just fine,” he assured me. I couldn't help but sigh. “What if no one comes for the opening of Serenity Blooms?” He just smiled at me. Opposite of my reaction, Rue seemed com
RUE The opening of Serenity Blooms was a hit. The ribbon-cutting ceremony drew a big crowd, with even the bachelors I invited showing up to support my girl's flower shop. It was a busy day, but I had taken the day off to lend a hand. Once everything was wrapped up, I approached Tysha's parents to ask for permission to take her out. Thankfully, they trusted me enough to say yes. After such a hectic day, Tysha and I retreated to my penthouse to unwind—in our own special way. “Satisfied with how the opening turned out?” I asked Tysha, locking eyes with her as we lounged in my bathtub, completely naked. We had decided to take a bath together. She nestled between my legs, leaning against my chest as I gently tucked her hair behind her ear, wanting to see her face clearly. “Yep. I didn’t expect a lot of people would go and buy some of o
TYSHA The next day, Barra didn't forget to call me for our practice. We met at the Eventide Cabaret. It was my first time visiting the place in the morning, and I was surprised by how different it looked. Gone were the countless luxurious cars parked in front of the strip club, the red neon lights, and the bustling activity. Instead, it was completely dull and lifeless. But strangely, I found myself liking it more this way. It meant there would be fewer prying eyes watching me practice whatever performance Barra had prepared for Rij. Thank goodness for small mercies. "Miss being in here?" Barra smirked as she noticed me looking around the deserted club. I just smiled at her. After all, this was where my life took a huge turn, the place where I first met Rue. “Le
RUE "Where are you? Let’s go there together,” I asked Tysha over the phone, adjusting my necktie as I prepared to head to the Eventide Cabaret for Rij’s birthday celebration. I was dressed in a black suit, paired with a maroon tie that added a touch of color to my attire. Days seemed to fly by in a blur, or perhaps I simply didn't notice as I was consumed by the busy preparations for the upcoming product launch for SlumberLux. But tonight was all about Rij’s celebration in his so-called paradise, and I couldn't afford to miss it. “No need. I’ll be there with Barra. We’ll go there together,” Tysha replied, her voice coming through the phone on loudspeaker, catching my attention. “I can drive both of you,” I insisted, hoping to spend more time with her, but she just chuckled. “Come on, Rue. Let’s just see each other in the Eventide
TYSHA Well, that was... something. After our dry-run before our performance later for Rij’s birthday celebration, I let myself collapse in the dance studio because of exhaustion. I mean, I knew I wasn't exactly born to be a pole dancing sensation, but my dancing skills were a whole new level of awkwardness. My body moves were about as stiff as a board. Seriously, did I forget to oil my joints or something? I couldn’t help but laugh at myself, though. I must've looked like a baby giraffe trying to walk for the first time up there. It was a miracle I didn't trip over my own feet and take out the whole pole with me. “Thank you so much, girls. Go
RUE Even after the pole dancing performance, I was still in shock because of what I just saw. Tysha? Doing pole dancing? Damn hot! Although her skills were clearly way lower than the other two dancers, I couldn’t help but just focus my eyes on her. Instead of getting the ick for seeing her dance so stiffly, I even found it so damn attractive. I could feel my manhood growing even after their performance. I suddenly remembered our first session before where in I bursted into laughter after seeing her dressed as if she would perform a pole dance. Who would have thought that she would actually do that? I smirked as I shook my head before I stood from my seat. “Where are you going?” Rij asked when he noticed I was about to go. “I’ll just check out one of the dancers ea
