TRINITY

The great Alpha Nader and Luna Mira sat before me on their golden thrones. They stared down at me with two different emotions.

Alpha Nader has always been a leader with great wisdom and charisma. He stroked his chin while staring down at me with intrigue and wonder.

Luna Mira on the other hand stared down at me with disdain and disgust. It was obvious that they both took the news of their children's newfound mate in different ways.

Their sons stood behind me, their aura radiating from their skin and seeping into my pores. A shiver crawled up my spine, I could feel their gaze all on me, sizing me up with silent judgement in their eyes.

And it wasn’t just the triplets, but their parents as well.

I felt inferior in their presence. Each of them radiated power, pride and strength. And they did so in their own way.

I, on the other hand, felt like a nobody in their midst. Actually, I was a nobody. I shouldn’t be here, I did not belong here.

I am sure there has to be some sort of mistake. Could it be the work of some witch? Or maybe this was some kind of set up. There was absolutely no way that I was the mate of the alpha triplets. Who was I? A nobody, shunned by her own pack and treated as a misfit.

And I was.

I didn't even have a wolf, so how could it be possible that I was their mate?

I am sure this is all some misunderstanding. It just has to be.

Suddenly, Luna Mira covered her face and broke out in a light chuckle. “Oh, my goodness, boys, certainly this is one of your pranks. Enough of your antics. Honestly, I expected you all to know better than to pull such a move during the ceremony. You caused quite the mess and had the pack talking. Now I expect you three to go out there and clear the air.”

Xerxes stepped forward, his features stoic and unchanged. “Mother, you should know that I am not one to play games, especially during an event as important as this one. Believe me, neither of us are happy about this. But we just could not help it... it felt like our wolves had gotten minds of their own. All Daemon wanted was her.”

Liam stepped forward, his head bowed as he said, “I am afraid Eryx felt the same way. It was almost as though nothing else in the world mattered to him except her. I had lost complete control of myself when I saw her.”

All eyes turned to Nasir. He had his jaw clenched and eyes brimming with anger, but he knew better than to lie to the alpha and luna.

He sighed, “All Ren kept chanting was mate. Mate. Mate. He was overjoyed, I have never seen him that way before.” Nasir’s amber gold eyes turned to me, and I flinched at the intensity behind them. “And all for a useless creature such as this.”

Ouch.

“Watch your tongue! Even though she may be wolfless it does not change the fact that she is our mate, and you will accord her with respect,” Liam said curtly and Nasir let out a humourless chuckle.

He looked at his brother with disbelief. “Respect? For that thing?”

“Enough!” Xerxes growled, his icy blue eyes darkening as he snapped at his brothers.

Luna Mira shook her head with a roll of her eyes. “Just barely an hour after her return and she is already causing much ruckus. I believe what needs to be done is quite clear.”

The words that left her lips next had my heart freezing in my chest.

“Reject her.”

No.

That was the first word that came to my mind. Why was that my first thought? I mean that should be a good thing. If they reject me then I can go home and carry on with my life. So then... what was this feeling I had bubbling within my chest.

It felt like fear.

But that can't be right. I have been shunned and rejected by my own people. Surely, I can handle getting rejected by my mates. It was no big deal...

Right?

It did not matter what I wanted. They were going to do it. They would do so in a heartbeat.

But to my greatest surprise, they all stayed silent. Neither of them uttered a word, not even Nasir.

He was so vocal about his dislike towards me being his mate. So here it was, the opportunity to finally be free of me and he was hesitant.

Luna Mira’s lips curled downwards, and her grip on the armchair tightened. “Did you all hear me? I said reject her. You all have beautiful fiancés already, all of which are women of prestige and grace. You do not need this one. So reject her now so we all can carry on with our lives.”

Silence.

Alpha Nader was the one to break the silence. This was his first time speaking since we were all brought into the throne room.

Just as an alpha should, his words carried authority and intimidation. “You boys heard your mother. Reject Trinity as your mate. Now.”

To my surprise, Xerxes' words had my eyebrows shooting to the top of my head.

“I can’t do that, father.”

Alpha Nader’s eyes darkened, and Xerxes quickly added, “I just need some time to think about it. I mean, we have all waited for our mate for so long, and now that she is finally here, we are expected to reject her. It requires some time to think about. Don’t you agree, brothers?”

Liam nodded almost immediately. “Yes, I do. We should not make haste when it comes to making a decision such as this.”

Nasir’s eyes fell on me. I could not tell what he was thinking, but his words brought me so much relief. “Whatever.”

Alpha Nader rose to his feet, giving his final statement.

“Very well then, you all have one month to come to a decision. You either accept Trinity Ender as your mate or reject her and have her banished from the Crimson Moon Pack. Forever.”

NASIRPathetic. How could the moon goddess punish me this way? How could she give me a mate as weak and pathetic as this one?I paced through the forest; Ren’s paws pounded against the damp earth. The moon above, once a symbol of guidance, now taunted me with its serene glow. My heart seethed with anger, my mind racing with the injustice. Why had the moon goddess chosen a human as my mate? A fragile, vulnerable creature unsuited for the demands of our world. I, Nasir, one of the future alphas of the Crimson Moon pack, required strength and resilience by my side. Not some delicate, breakable thing.I could not stay back at the palace. I had to get some fresh air. I had to get my mind off this rather heart-wrenching discovery. And there were very few things capable of doing that: hunting. As I ran, the wind whipped through Ren’s fur, carrying the scents of the forest. He was not happy to be getting so far away from our mate; he wanted to be around her, he wanted to play with her, watch

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter seven: A Warm Welcome

TRINITYThe sharp clang of metal echoed through the grand marble halls as the palace guards led me toward the towering iron gates. My breath hitched with every step, the cold air biting my skin. This was it—the end of my time within the palace walls. I have never felt more relieved. Right? It had to be relief because I could not stand anymore of this madness. So why did I feel as though I was being torn from an essential part of me? My fingers clenched tightly around the thin fabric of my cloak, trying to stave off the gnawing unease. ..I didn’t dare look back. Not at the gilded chandeliers, not at the intricate tapestries, and certainly not at the jaw dropping alpha triplets. Nadir had left shortly after Alpha Nader. He gave no clue to where he was going, he just stormed out angrily. I suppose he was taking this newfound bound harder than the others. After he had left, Luna Mira had made it clear that I was no longer of any use and had the guards take me away. And away I was tak

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Eight: The Plans To Escape

TRINITYI lie in bed, staring at the ceiling, heart pounding in my chest. The house is quiet now—too quiet. My aunt and cousins are probably settled in their rooms by now, and I can hear the soft murmur of their voices, the occasional giggle. They’re drifting off to sleep, and with each passing moment, the tension in my chest builds. This is it. Tonight’s the night.Tonight is the night I get out of this hellhole. I am not going to just sit here and wait to get rejected or killed. So, I wait. I have to be sure. Every muscle in my body is coiled tight, ready to spring, but I need the silence. The stillness. I need them to be asleep before I make my move. Finally, the house is silent. No more voices, no more laughter. I wait for a few seconds, holding my breath, and when I’m certain they’re asleep, I slip out from under the covers. My feet barely make a sound on the cold floor. My heart hammers in my chest, too loud, too fast, but I don’t let it stop me. I can’t stop. Not now. I move

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Nine: The Alpha's Judgment

TRINITYThe cold, oppressive silence hung heavily in the air, punctuated only by the occasional rustle of fabric as the Alpha triplets—Xerxes, Nasir, and Liam—shifted in their thrones. Their eyes, sharp as blades, were trained on me, unmoving, unforgiving.I could not bring myself to look up at Xerxes. He warned me about this. And just mere hours ago.Yet I did exactly what he told me not to. I am so dead. But how the hell was I supposed to know that I would be caught by Nasir? What on earth was he doing out there by that time anyway? It doesn’t matter. I am the one who has been caught. I am the one in trouble. And I am the one who was going to answer for it.I could feel the weight of their gaze pressing into my skin, each of them silently scrutinizing me. The air felt thick with their disapproval, as if the very space around me was suffocating. I dared not look up; to meet their eyes would be to provoke their wrath further. I could feel the heat rising in my cheeks, my pulse quicken

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Ten: Tears and Urges

LIAMI walked beside Selene, the soft crunch of gravel beneath our feet the only sound in the otherwise peaceful palace garden. It was a rare moment of quiet, just the two of us, surrounded by fragrant flowers and the distant hum of the palace. The sun was lower now, casting a soft orange glow on everything, making the world feel warmer, as if trying to make up for the coldness I could feel creeping in from within. One would consider this a romantic setting, and it would have been. Had she been my mate.Or someone I was actually attracted to.Selene’s presence was always uncomfortable in a way. "You’ve been distant lately, Liam," she said, her voice light, but there was a sharpness in it that made my stomach tighten.I glanced at her, trying to keep my expression neutral. “I’ve been busy,” I muttered, not entirely convinced by my own words. Truth be told, I hadn’t been entirely focused on my duties in the past few days. My thoughts kept drifting to the tension between Trinity and me

TRINITYI sat on the edge of my bed, the only sound in the room the quiet sniffles that seemed to come from deep within my chest. My hands clutched the soft blankets around me, but it didn’t bring any comfort. I was suffocating here, trapped in this grand, empty castle, surrounded by walls that weren’t just made of stone, but of expectations. Regret wrapped around me like a second skin, and the weight of it bore down on my shoulders.I had been foolish to return. Foolish to think I could step back into this life as if it hadn’t changed. The city had felt like freedom—clean air, new opportunities, people who didn’t see me as some weakling or embarrassment. But here I was. Back at the Crimson Moon Pack. Back for the Ascension Ceremony, a ridiculous event I never even wanted to be a part of.And look at where it got me.I regretted it the moment I stepped foot back in this place . Every corridor, every room seemed to echo with the weight of my past here, suffocating me further. I coul

NASIRI pushed open the door without a second thought, my mind consumed with the thought of Xerxes and the damn meeting he called.Where the hell was Liam? Damn him for making me look for his ass. I think I had seen Selene crying and running out of the gardens. I didn't bother asking her what happened, there was only one person capable of making her cry.Besides, I really do not care to know what conspired between them. If we can get rid of at least one of the Silverhade sisters, the better it will be for all of us. I searched the entire garden but my damn brother was nowhere to be found. There was one last place I could check. If he wasn't there then I would be forced to ask Selene. Please be at your damn yoga room.I passed by Trinity's room a couple of times, and just like the other days since she arrived, her door was shut.A part of me started to wonder if she died in there. Why do I care? TRINITY“What do you mean, you almost kissed him?” Cara’s voice was still filled with disbelief.I laid on my bed, my eyes focused on the chandelier hoisted above my bed. I had my phone pressed to my ear as I spoke to Cara. I can't believe I haven't spoken to her after all this time here in the palace. After what happened this afternoon in the yoga room, I knew I needed my best friend. My room was quiet, the only sound being the soft hum of the late-night breeze coming through the window. I hadn’t realized how late it had gotten, but talking to Cara had a way of making the hours slip by unnoticed.I sighed, slumping back into my chair, letting the phone fall a little away from my ear as I rolled my eyes. “You know how it is, Cara. He was there, I was there. Things got... complicated.”“Trinity!” she nearly shouted. I could hear her excitement even through the static. “No way. You and Liam? Almost kissed? You’re not messing with me, are you? This is real?”I bit my lip, avoiding her

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Forty Seven: A Hunt With The Triplets

TRINITYThe forest was alive, humming with the sounds of rustling leaves, chirping birds, and the occasional snap of a twig beneath our feet. Sunlight filtered through the thick canopy above, dappling the forest floor with golden patches. I walked behind the triplets, my steps quieter and more hesitant than their confident strides. The guards trailed a little farther back, their watchful eyes scanning the surroundings.I couldn’t help but feel the irony of the situation. Not long ago, they’d lashed out at Xander for taking me into the woods without consulting them. Now here they were, doing the exact same thing. The thought made me smirk faintly, but I didn’t voice it. It wasn’t worth the argument.Xerxes turned slightly, his sharp gaze cutting through the trees. “This is different,” he said as if reading my mind. “Xander took you out alone. Without protection. That was reckless.”“And without our consent,” Liam added, his tone lighter than his brother’s but still firm. “We have guard

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Forty Six: Breakfast With Royalty

TRINITYThe soft hum of voices carried down the corridor as I approached the royal dining hall. My stomach tightened, partly from hunger and partly from the anxiety that came with crossing paths with the Alpha triplets. I hadn’t planned to come this way, but my feet had carried me here before I realized where I was heading. The scent of freshly brewed coffee and warm pastries wafted through the open doorway, mingling with the low tones of conversation. I paused just outside the room, my fingers clenching the edge of my shawl. I could hear them clearly—the deep timbre of Alpha Nader’s voice, the sharper tones of Luna Mira, and the more familiar, distinct voices of the triplets.Steeling myself, I took a hesitant step forward. When I peeked into the room, the sight before me nearly made me stop in my tracks. The dining table stretched across the room like a centerpiece of opulence, its surface adorned with golden plates, delicate crystal glasses, and an endless array of food. • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Forty Five: The Unforgettable Dream

TRINITYThe dream pulled me under as though I were sinking into the depths of an endless ocean. When I opened my eyes, I was back in the forest. Shadows stretched across the ground, cast by the towering trees that loomed overhead. The air was damp and heavy, carrying the scent of earth and moss.I spun in a slow circle, my breath hitching as I realized where I was. This wasn’t just a dream—it was a memory. The night the rogues attacked me.The growls began, low and menacing, surrounding me from every direction. My heart thundered in my chest as I turned, searching for an escape, but the shadows seemed alive, shifting and moving, hiding the predators stalking me.And then they emerged.Wolves, their eyes glowing with feral hunger, their teeth bared in snarls. They stepped closer, their movements slow and calculated, as though savoring my fear.I stumbled back, the panic rising like a tide, threatening to drown me. “Stay back!” I screamed, though my voice cracked with terror. They didn’

TRINITYHis lips felt like electricity shooting across my skin. His touch was exhilarating; it brought out a part of me that I never knew existed. This part of me... it was needy; it was desperate. His lips had to be the sweetest thing I have ever tasted. That was a lie; Nasir’s lips were the sweetest I have ever tasted. Never mind; I couldn’t choose between the two.My eyes rolled to the back of my head as Liam trailed kisses down my neck, sucking the sensitive skin between my ear and neck. The moan that left my lips couldn’t be helped. Goosebumps erupted across my skin as he placed featherlike touches all over my body.A gentle gasp left my lips when his hand wrapped around my neck softly yet firmly. His lips sealed mine once again, and our tongues explored each other’s mouths. I noticed that Liam kissed a whole lot more differently than Nasir.Nasir’s kiss was swift, heated, yet lustful. But Liam’s kiss was more intentional. It was curious. He wanted to explore every part of me; h

LIAMThe air in the room was heavy, thick with the tension that had been mounting since we found the rogue’s lifeless body in the dungeons. Xerxes paced back and forth, his fists clenched at his sides, while Nasir leaned against the wall, his expression dark and unreadable.I sat at the edge of the table, arms crossed, trying to make sense of it all. “Someone within the palace sent him,” I said, my voice steady despite the anger simmering beneath the surface.Xerxes stopped pacing, his sharp gaze locking on me. “And whoever it was took the chance we gave them. The moment we left him alone, they made their move.”Nasir let out a low growl, his jaw tightening. “It’s clear this wasn’t random. Someone is trying to harm Trinity.”The mention of her name made my chest tighten. Trinity. Our mate. The girl who had turned all our lives upside down without even trying.Xerxes nodded, his voice firm. “We need to protect her.”Nasir pushed off the wall, folding his arms across his chest. “We cou

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Forty Two: Murder Mystery

XERXESTrinity sat upright in the bed, her pale fingers clutching the blanket draped over her lap. She looked so small there, lost in the massive bed. The sunlight spilling through the window bathed her in a soft glow, but the shadows under her eyes told a different story—one of exhaustion, vulnerability, and something else I couldn’t quite name.I suppose that was partially my fault. We haven't been making her stay here tolerable, much less enjoyable. “How are you feeling?” I asked, leaning against the wall with my arms crossed. My voice came out gentler than I intended, surprising me.She looked at me then, her gaze meeting mine for a fleeting moment before dropping to the blanket. “I’m fine,” she replied quietly, though her voice lacked any real conviction. “I… I can’t remember much of what happened.”Her eyebrows creased and it became obvious she was wracking her brain, desperately trying to recall the events that led to her losing consciousness. Her words hung in the air, and

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Forty One: A Better Slut

NASIRThe stench of blood and sweat filled the dungeon, a nauseating cocktail that clung to the damp, cold air. The single torch on the wall cast flickering shadows across the stone walls, dancing eerily as if mocking the man slumped in the chair before us. He was barely conscious, his face swollen and streaked with blood. The metallic tang of it was sharp, making my wolf restless.Xerxes loomed over the rogue, his fists clenched and his voice sharp. "Who sent you?"The rogue didn’t respond, his lips pressed tightly together. His chest heaved with shallow breaths, and I could see the slight twitch in his jaw as he fought to hold his composure.Xerxes wasn’t a patient man. His hand shot out, delivering a brutal punch to the rogue's face. The sickening crack of his nose breaking echoed in the confined space, and the rogue cried out in pain, his head lolling to the side. Blood poured from his nose, dripping onto the floor in steady splatters."I'll ask again," Xerxes growled, his amber e

TRINITYThe forest was alive, teeming with an energy that made every sound sharper, every scent stronger. The air was crisp, carrying the earthy aroma of pine needles and damp moss. Moonlight spilled through the dense canopy above, casting silver streaks onto the forest floor and illuminating my path. The trees seemed impossibly tall, their dark silhouettes stretching into the sky like silent guardians.I wasn’t sure how I got here or why I was here, but the forest felt both strange and familiar. A dream, I realized. It had to be. Yet, the cool breeze brushing against my skin and the soft ground beneath my bare feet felt so real, it blurred the line between illusion and reality. Each step I took was cautious, but I was drawn forward by an unexplainable pull. The silence was almost oppressive, broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves or the distant call of a night bird. My unease grew with every passing second, a knot forming in my stomach. Then, as if summoned by my thoughts, a

  • HIDDEN HOWL   Chapter Thirty Nine: Guilt and Blame

LIAMThe room was heavy with silence, the kind that pressed down on your chest and made it hard to breathe. I stood by Trinity’s bedside, my arms hanging uselessly at my sides, my fingers twitching with the need to do something. Anything. But there was nothing I could do.She looked so fragile lying there, her pale skin almost blending into the stark white sheets. Her dark lashes fanned against her cheeks, and her chest rose and fell in shallow, uneven breaths. The sight of her like this—unmoving, vulnerable—made my gut twist in a way I couldn’t explain. I hated it. I hated how helpless I felt, how useless I was.Xander leaned against the doorframe, his usual carefree demeanor replaced with something raw and unguarded. His foot tapped against the hardwood floor, the sound grating on my nerves, but I didn’t say anything. His fear was written all over him. The way his jaw clenched, the way his arms tightened across his chest like they could hold him together. He blamed himself, and hone
