The gamma took Fay to continue with her harsh labour as if nothing had happened.
Fay knew by now the news of her rejection must have gone around and she would be bullied even more by the omegas.
She felt hurt and dejected and her heart bled with pain. She changed from the dress she wore to her normal clothes and as usual, she was given a bucket and a scrubbing brush.
She worked in the dark corridor throughout the day without any food or water, her throat felt perched but she dared not ask for anything.
The gamma left her there in the dark corridor as she knelt on the sharp granite floor, scrubbing the floor tiredly.
Fay took a handful of water from the bucket and gulped down the dirty water she had used in scrubbing the floor
She let the liquid flow down her throat and was relieved a little, her stomach rumbled as she stared down at the corridor, she sighed at the length that she had to cover.
Fay wiped her sweaty forehead with the back of her hand and scrubbed harder so the gamma wouldn't have to complain .
Just when she thought it couldn't get worse, the lady walked in with some guards and Fay fell back on her knees, wondering what she had done.
“You bag of bad luck,I see you are getting yourself busy”She smiled.
Fay lowered her head ,a tear slipping down her cheeks and she swallowed.
“You are no longer needed here, you are an outcast and the Alpha would not be pleased to see you around here”She spat.
Fay's head shot up,she didn't understand what she had meant by she was no longer needed.
“What?" Fay asked quietly.
“You heard me,you are a smear to this distinguished family and it is time you left with your ill luck”Lady Rosie told her, curtly.
Fay's heart skipped a beat, fear rushed into her and she clasped her hands together.
“Please, please. Don't send me away,I have nowhere else to go,”Fay cried.
Lady Rosie laughed,” I don't give a hoot if you have somewhere to go or not,do you think I care if you live or not? You are just a good for nothing,a shame to this pack”
“Please,my lady. I would do anything you want ,I will work and do all your biddings please just let me stay here”
Lady Rosie smiled and she folded her arms across her chest, she snapped at the guards behind her and they marched forward.
“Very well then" She said,”Take her away".
The guards seized her, dragging her up to her feet ,their nails digging into her skin as they dragged her through the dark corridor to a darker room, somewhere in the mansion.
She was flung inside the room with a cold stone floor and a little window overhead that poured a faint Ray of light.
“This is where you will be staying from now on," Lady Rosie spat," You are an outcast,Fay. The Alpha rejected you because of your ill luck so you are no longer worthy of even living among the slaves”
Fay's eyes welled up in years as the lady's words cut deep into her,she felt like she had hit rock bottom.
She didn't know whether to be thankful or sad as she looked around the room that smelled of rotten Vegetables.
“You will be doing hard labour every day" She continued," You will be lucky if anyone remembers to get you any food or water. You're nothing but an outcast now. You will never be loved or accepted. You're worthless, remember that”
The lady nodded to the guards who pulled the door close,Fay heard the rattling of keys as they locked her in the room and soon the clicking of Lady Rosie's heel muffled as they left.
Fay collapsed on to the narrow bed, sobbing uncontrollably. She wished her parents were alive to protect her,to comfort her. But they were gone and she was alone.
She was plunged into darkness, her heart heavy with sorrow and despair.
But even in the midst of such hopelessness,a spark within Fay refused to die.
She knew she couldn't give up,not yet. She had to find a way to survive,to be alive and to prove herself and others that she was worthy of love and acceptance.
Some hours past with Fay left crying out her pain and bitterness, the door pushed open and the gamma came in with some omegas carrying a bucket of water and a scrub brush
“Scrub the walls," She barked,”Make them shine because you would be staying here, you would only be given food to eat when I am satisfied with the result”
Fay reluctantly got to work, her hands raw and sore as she scrubbed the cold stone walls tiredly.
The gamma and the omegas left and she cried as she worked, her tears mixing with the dirty water that splashed on her face.
She scrubbed harder, hoping to eat something if she did a good job just as the gamma had said.
The gamma was only back some hours later, inspecting the walls while Fay sat weakly on the floor, breathing hard.
She was given stale bread to eat and a cup of polluted water which she ravaged before it would be taken away from her.
The gamma stood by the door watching her wolf down the bread and gulping in the water, choking as she did.
Fay was too tired by the time she ate the last piece of the steak bread, she rested her head on the bed ,she was tired to her bones and she felt she would pass out if she attempted to do something else.
The tray was cleared after her and she felt her vision starting to be blurry from her tiredness…or was it that?
Her head began to spin and it seemed as if a dozen drummers were practicing in her head,Fay touched the side of her head and stared at the Gamma who was looking back at her.
Fay's eyes began to close, the image of the gamma twisted into a
wavy figure .
“Get some rest" She heard the gamma say ,”You will be needing it"
A hand clasped her mouth and her eyes flew open ,it was dark and someone was hovering above her, pressing his hands to her lips.Fay wanted to let out a scream but it was muffled by the powerful hand against her mouth. Some people were in the room, the door was ajar and she could make out two huge figures standing by the door. What was going on?Her heart was pounding madly against her chest and she was panicking, she tried struggling with whoever it was that pulled her roughly out of the bed and dragged her to her feet.Another powerful hand twisted her hand painfully behind her and tied a cord around her wrist, the other hand still clasped to her mouth.Fay tried with all the strength she could gather to fight whoever it was but the person was just too powerful.A sharp pain came at her neck as the needle of a syringe dug into her neck and she felt something slid into her blood.Fay felt paralyzed to the bones, she fell back against the bed , looking up at the ceiling without being able
Fay's eyes fluttered open slowly,a rush of sunlight drove into her eyes and she shut them quickly with a grunt. She attempted to open her eyes again, slowly this time and squinted at the sunlight that was pouring from somewhere .Fay's eyes adjusted to where she was and she looked around. She was lying in a very soft bed,in a magnificent room…that was odd.Where was she?The question jammed into her head, she tried to get up but an ache ran through her body , settling on her head and she grimaced. She tried to recollect what had happened and what she was doing here but the more she tried, the more the pain jammed into her head. The door pushed open and some uniformed maids filed in,two of them wheeling a trolley filled with delicious food and drinks while others wheeled a cloth trolley.Fay watched them wheel them towards the bed and they turned to her,Fay tried to sit up irrespective of the pain and soreness she felt all over her body.“Where am I?" Fay asked silently“Good morning,ma'am
Fay stood in front of the large, ornatemirror, mesmerized by the reflection staringback at her. The harsh, rough edges of herpast had faded, replacedby the image of ayoung woman who looked almost like astranger. Her hair now ,brushed and shining, fell insoft waves around her shoulders and thetattered clothes that once clung to her skinin desperation had been replaced by asimple yet elegant dress that hugged hercurves in all the right places. For the first time in what felt likeforever, she didn't feel like the world wasclosing in on her. She stared at thedelicate sapphire necklace Dominic hadgifted her, its blue stone reflecting a lightthat almost seemed to glow.It was a small touch but it's made herfeel... Precious. Special, even. She inhaleddeeply, trying to ground herself but therewas still that lingering tension in her chest. The trauma she had endured was notsomething that could be wiped away with apretty dress or a new life in a mansion. The sound of footsteps
Dominic had been searching for hours. After the rigorous training session, he'dexpected to find Fay somewhere within thefacility, still working to master the basics. But when he'd checked the gym, theweight room, even the locker rooms, she was nowhere to be found. His Patience was wearing thin, not because he was angry but because he worried about her, about how she was feeling. She had so much potentials but the pressure of her new world ,the weight of it all had begun to crush her.It was when he was nearing the edge of the building ,walking along the perimeter near a small garden that he spotted her.She was alone, sitting on the edge of the company's outdoor pool, her legs dangling lazily in the water. Her back was turned to him and she looked small, almost fragile against the vastness of the steel walls that surrounded them. The contrast of her delicate form against the raw, industrial landscape made something inside Dominic twist with concern. He moved closer, his steps quiet
The halls of Steelworks were cold andsterile, lined with steel walls and polishedfloors that reflected the overhead lights likemirrors. Fay walked through the corridors, her steps slow and calculative as she tried to make sense of everything that had happened. The distant hum of the machinery reminded her of the tension that still clung tight to her.The people she had seen were all strong, confident and powerful, they only seemed to highlight her own doubts and constant insecurities.Fay couldn't shake off the feeling that she didn't belong here, that she would never fit in.As she turned to a corner, her thoughts wereinterrupted by a group of girls who werewalking in the opposite direction. Theywere laughing, their high heels clickingagainst the floor as they chatted amongstthemselves. Fay stepped aside , trying her best to make herself as invincible as possible. The girls were so engrossed in their discussion and didn't notice her at first but then one of them, a tall blonde
Fay stood by the large windows, her hands wrapped around the cool metal railing as she looked out over the vast grounds of Steelworks. The wind carried the earthy scent of the forest, and the sky was beginning to darken, the soft orange hue of sunset casting a glow across the horizon. She tried to clear her mind, but it was impossible. Her thoughts kept drifting back to the training, to the words the others had spoken, and to the way her own body had betrayed her. She had wanted so desperately to prove herself, to be strong like the others, but each time she failed, it felt like another piece of her was breaking. She was so lost in her thoughts that shedidn't notice Dominic approaching. Hispresence was always a quiet force, butthis time, she felt him before she saw him.He was talking in hushed tones to a groupof huge men-werewolves, like him. They were standing in a circle, their bodylanguage imposing, the air thick withauthority. She could barely make out thewords, but sh
The cold steel floor beneath her feet wasnothing compared to the coldness she feltinside. Fay stood in the center of thetraining room, trying to steady her breath.Around her, the pack moved with graceand purpose, shifting effortlessly betweenforms, demonstrating enhanced sensesand agility with such ease that Fay couldn'thelp but feel inadequate.Dominic stood nearby, watching her with athoughtful expression. "Focus, Fay. Feelyour connection to the ground, to the air.You need to center yourself before you cantap into your instincts."Fay nodded, but her mind was far fromcalm. Every time she attempted to focus, itfelt as if she was swimming against anoverwhelming current. While the others seemed born for this life, she could barely manage to control her senses. Her heightened hearing, her vision--everything seemed to overwhelm her. She couldn't seem to overwhelm her. She couldn't quite make sense of it. Why wasn't this coming naturally to her?"Alright, let's start simp
The night was cold, and the air felt thick with an unsettling tension as Lady Rosie stood at the back entrance of the mansion. The sharp wind tugged at her cloak, swirling it around her like an omen. The pale crescent moon barely illuminated the courtyard, casting long, sinister shadows that seemed to stretch and shift with every gust of wind. She stared into the darkness, her thoughts spiraling as she tried to process the failure of her mission. The rogue wolves had been sent to eliminate Fay, but instead, they had returned empty-handed, with nothing but a pitiful tale of failure.Lady Rosie's jaw tightened as she thought about it. She had underestimated Fay's strength. But there was more to this. Someone powerful had intervened on Fay's behalf. She didn't know who or what this new threat was, but it was clear this force had protected Fay. And that realization made her blood boil. Nobody, not even a wolf, stood in her way.Her thoughts were interrupted by the heavy sound of approachi
The air in the training room was heavy with concentration. The students, a mix of aspiring fighters and seasoned athletes, sat in a circle, their eyes fixed on Dominic, who stood in the corner watching them. His arms were folded, his expression, unreadable. His focus, however, was not just on the group, but on one person in particular.Fay felt the weight of his gaze, even if it was brief. She could feel his presence without seeing him directly. Her chest tightened. What's wrong with him? Why is he behaving like this? Questions raced through her mind as she tried to focus on the exercise at hand. She had done her best to push thoughts of Dominic's coldness out of her mind, but it was difficult."Fay, Lena," Dominic shouted, his voice cutting through the room. "Get up."Thy both got up simultaneously, they exchanged silent glances and nods at each other but they walked to the center of the circle. The others watched curiously as the two prepared for their training session.Fay could fe
Domenic's car engine roared incessantly as they drove along the winding roads, the evening air cool and heralding night. The silence between them was thick and uncomfortable, the only sound coming from the occasional horn or tires scraping the asphalt. Domenic clutched the wheel tightly, his face frozen in a stern expression. Fay, sitting in the passenger seat, glanced at him from time to time, the agitation rising in her chest. She expected the usual pleasantries, a few kind comments after the exercise, but he was distant, almost too distant. Fay shifted in her seat, trying to break the silence."Dominic?" Her voice was confused. He didn't answer. His eyes were fixed on the road ahead of them, as if all his attention was on the path they were taking.Fay frowned, feeling a pain in her heart she couldn't explain. "I didn't think you'd be so calm after training," she said softly, hoping for a reaction. Nothing. Her mind raced as she tried to
The soft light of morning filtered through the curtains, casting long shadows across the room. Alpha Roderick awoke slowly, his head pounding with a dull ache, and for a moment, he wasn't sure where he was. His senses were still clouded, the remnants of deep sleep clinging to his mind. He groaned softly, trying to push through the haze, but by by the pain in his temple was unrelenting."What sort of pain is this?" he muttered to himself, rubbing his forehead with a groan. He couldn't recall every detail, but he knew that something had shifted. He had been with Gwen, and the connection between them had felt stronger than ever. But there was something... different. His thoughts were muddled, as if a fog had settled over his mind. The weight of the night before still hung heavy in the air, but he couldn't quite place why it felt So... significant. A strange sensation lingered in his chest, a tugging pull towards Gwen that seemed deeper than anything he had felt before. Was it just their
The room was bathed in the soft, silvery light of the moon, casting a gentle glow across the space. The night air outside was still, almost as if the world itself was holding its breath for what was about to unfold. Gwen stood near the door, her heart pounding in her chest. The time had finally come the seven crescent days of waiting had led to this moment. She and Alpha Roderick had grown closer over time, their bond slowly becoming undeniable, but tonight, that bond would be solidified. She wore a delicate nightdress, made from soft, flowing satin. The fabric clung to her body in a way that felt almost ethereal, shimmering faintly with each movement. The nightdress was simple, yet it accentuated her form, its lavender hue complementing her skin in the softest way. As she stepped further into the room,Alpha Roderick's gaze met hers, and in that instant, Gwen could feel the weight of his attention. He was sitting at the edge of the bed, his broad shoulders relaxed but powerful, a ca
Dominic walked down the hallway, his footsteps echoing softly against the walls. The day had been long, the training intense, but his mind kept drifting back to the session with Fay. He had seen her progress—her moves were becoming sharper, more precise. As he strode through the hallway , a figure stepped out from the shadows, causing him to stop abruptly."Kara?" he asked, surprised to see her there. He hadn't heard her approach, and the way she stood, arms crossed, watching him with an unreadable expression, made him uneasy. She stepped closer, her eyes fixed on him with an intensity he hadn't noticed before. There was something different about her tonight. The warmth that had once been in her gaze now seemed absent, replaced by something sharper. "We need to talk," Kara said, her voice calm, but there was an edge to it, a hint of something that made Dominic pause."Talk?" he repeated, his mind trying to catch up.The last thing he needed was another emotional conversation, but he
Fay's body moved with an increasing fluidity, her fists and feet flowing in a rhythm that was no longer foreign to her. The man training her was a seasoned fighter, his movements sharp and calculated as he pushed her harder, testing her limits.Dominic stood at the edge of the training area, his arms crossed, watching intently. He had seen Fay stumble through the basics when she first arrived, but now, the girl was beginning to understand the art of combat. She was starting to respond faster, her defenses tighter, and her counters more effective. He couldn't help but smile to himself, a feeling of pride swelling in his chest. The man she was sparring with aimed a punch at her midsection, his fist cutting through the air with precision. Fay sidestepped quickly, but the punch landed with a sickening thud, knocking the air from her lungs. She staggered back, her face scrunching in pain as she fought to regain her balance.Dominic's smile disappeared instantly. His heartthudded in his ch
The night air was crisp and cool, wrapping around them like a blanket as Dominic walked Fay to her room. The moon, low and full in the sky, bathed the grounds in a soft silver glow, casting long shadows beneath the trees outside the mansion. They walked slowly down the quiet corridors, their steps seeming to echo in the stillness and Fay held her breath. They reached the door to her room, and Dominic held the door open for her,his gaze lingering on her. There was something in the way he looked ather...gentle, yet filled with an unspoken words. It was a look that seemed to say everything without needing words. He shifted slightly, running a hand through his hair, a nervous tension in the way he stood."Thank you," he said quietly, his voice low andsincere. "For tonight. For... everything."Fay's heart fluttered at his words. It wasn't just the gesture, the way he spoke them with such sincerity, but the warmth that seemed to emanate from him. She smiled softly, shaking her head."No, Do
"We should head home now" Dominic said .The cool night air wrapped around them as Dominic slowly lowered Fay onto the soft earth beneath the towering trees. There was something magical about the moment just the two of them, hidden in the embrace of nature, far from the world's prying eyes. The tension between them crackled in the air, thick with anticipation, a sense that the moment they were about to share had been building for so long.Fay's heart was racing, every nerve in her body alive with desire as she looked up at him. The way Dominic's eyes darkened with hunger made her pulse quicken. She reached out instinctively, her fingers brushing against his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart beneath his shirt. His body was warm, firm, and every inch of him seemed to beckon her closer.Without a word, Dominic moved toward her, his lips capturing hers in a kiss that was slow at first, exploratory his touch is soft but undeniable. The kiss deepened almost immediately, as if the
Fay's eyes fluttered open, her heart racing from the rapid ascent. The first thing she noticed was the vast, open sky above her—clear, endless, and stretching out in all directions. But that wasn't what made her breath catch. It was the breathtaking view below. They were perched atop an enormous tree, theheight so dizzying that Fay felt like she could reach out and touch the stars. The forest stretched out beneath them like a sea of green but as her eyes scanned the horizon, she saw the outline of the pack's territory spread out far below. It was overwhelming, humbling. Fay's heart leapt and she immediately clutched onto Dominic, her fingers digging into his shirt."Dominic!" she cried, her voice tinged with panic. "What— what are we doing up here? How...how did we get here?"Dominic, steady as always, laughed softly, a warm sound that seemed to carry with the wind" Relax,Fay. I wouldn't let you fall," he reassured her, his grip firm around her waist, keeping her steady. She could f
