The gamma took Fay to continue with her harsh labour as if nothing had happened.
Fay knew by now the news of her rejection must have gone around and she would be bullied even more by the omegas.
She felt hurt and dejected and her heart bled with pain. She changed from the dress she wore to her normal clothes and as usual, she was given a bucket and a scrubbing brush.
She worked in the dark corridor throughout the day without any food or water, her throat felt perched but she dared not ask for anything.
The gamma left her there in the dark corridor as she knelt on the sharp granite floor, scrubbing the floor tiredly.
Fay took a handful of water from the bucket and gulped down the dirty water she had used in scrubbing the floor
She let the liquid flow down her throat and was relieved a little, her stomach rumbled as she stared down at the corridor, she sighed at the length that she had to cover.
Fay wiped her sweaty forehead with the back of her hand and scrubbed harder so the gamma wouldn't have to complain .
Just when she thought it couldn't get worse, the lady walked in with some guards and Fay fell back on her knees, wondering what she had done.
“You bag of bad luck,I see you are getting yourself busy”She smiled.
Fay lowered her head ,a tear slipping down her cheeks and she swallowed.
“You are no longer needed here, you are an outcast and the Alpha would not be pleased to see you around here”She spat.
Fay's head shot up,she didn't understand what she had meant by she was no longer needed.
“What?" Fay asked quietly.
“You heard me,you are a smear to this distinguished family and it is time you left with your ill luck”Lady Rosie told her, curtly.
Fay's heart skipped a beat, fear rushed into her and she clasped her hands together.
“Please, please. Don't send me away,I have nowhere else to go,”Fay cried.
Lady Rosie laughed,” I don't give a hoot if you have somewhere to go or not,do you think I care if you live or not? You are just a good for nothing,a shame to this pack”
“Please,my lady. I would do anything you want ,I will work and do all your biddings please just let me stay here”
Lady Rosie smiled and she folded her arms across her chest, she snapped at the guards behind her and they marched forward.
“Very well then" She said,”Take her away".
The guards seized her, dragging her up to her feet ,their nails digging into her skin as they dragged her through the dark corridor to a darker room, somewhere in the mansion.
She was flung inside the room with a cold stone floor and a little window overhead that poured a faint Ray of light.
“This is where you will be staying from now on," Lady Rosie spat," You are an outcast,Fay. The Alpha rejected you because of your ill luck so you are no longer worthy of even living among the slaves”
Fay's eyes welled up in years as the lady's words cut deep into her,she felt like she had hit rock bottom.
She didn't know whether to be thankful or sad as she looked around the room that smelled of rotten Vegetables.
“You will be doing hard labour every day" She continued," You will be lucky if anyone remembers to get you any food or water. You're nothing but an outcast now. You will never be loved or accepted. You're worthless, remember that”
The lady nodded to the guards who pulled the door close,Fay heard the rattling of keys as they locked her in the room and soon the clicking of Lady Rosie's heel muffled as they left.
Fay collapsed on to the narrow bed, sobbing uncontrollably. She wished her parents were alive to protect her,to comfort her. But they were gone and she was alone.
She was plunged into darkness, her heart heavy with sorrow and despair.
But even in the midst of such hopelessness,a spark within Fay refused to die.
She knew she couldn't give up,not yet. She had to find a way to survive,to be alive and to prove herself and others that she was worthy of love and acceptance.
Some hours past with Fay left crying out her pain and bitterness, the door pushed open and the gamma came in with some omegas carrying a bucket of water and a scrub brush
“Scrub the walls," She barked,”Make them shine because you would be staying here, you would only be given food to eat when I am satisfied with the result”
Fay reluctantly got to work, her hands raw and sore as she scrubbed the cold stone walls tiredly.
The gamma and the omegas left and she cried as she worked, her tears mixing with the dirty water that splashed on her face.
She scrubbed harder, hoping to eat something if she did a good job just as the gamma had said.
The gamma was only back some hours later, inspecting the walls while Fay sat weakly on the floor, breathing hard.
She was given stale bread to eat and a cup of polluted water which she ravaged before it would be taken away from her.
The gamma stood by the door watching her wolf down the bread and gulping in the water, choking as she did.
Fay was too tired by the time she ate the last piece of the steak bread, she rested her head on the bed ,she was tired to her bones and she felt she would pass out if she attempted to do something else.
The tray was cleared after her and she felt her vision starting to be blurry from her tiredness…or was it that?
Her head began to spin and it seemed as if a dozen drummers were practicing in her head,Fay touched the side of her head and stared at the Gamma who was looking back at her.
Fay's eyes began to close, the image of the gamma twisted into a
wavy figure .
“Get some rest" She heard the gamma say ,”You will be needing it"
A hand clasped her mouth and her eyes flew open ,it was dark and someone was hovering above her, pressing his hands to her lips.Fay wanted to let out a scream but it was muffled by the powerful hand against her mouth. Some people were in the room, the door was ajar and she could make out two huge figures standing by the door. What was going on?Her heart was pounding madly against her chest and she was panicking, she tried struggling with whoever it was that pulled her roughly out of the bed and dragged her to her feet.Another powerful hand twisted her hand painfully behind her and tied a cord around her wrist, the other hand still clasped to her mouth.Fay tried with all the strength she could gather to fight whoever it was but the person was just too powerful.A sharp pain came at her neck as the needle of a syringe dug into her neck and she felt something slid into her blood.Fay felt paralyzed to the bones, she fell back against the bed , looking up at the ceiling without being able
Fay's eyes fluttered open slowly,a rush of sunlight drove into her eyes and she shut them quickly with a grunt. She attempted to open her eyes again, slowly this time and squinted at the sunlight that was pouring from somewhere .Fay's eyes adjusted to where she was and she looked around. She was lying in a very soft bed,in a magnificent room…that was odd.Where was she?The question jammed into her head, she tried to get up but an ache ran through her body , settling on her head and she grimaced. She tried to recollect what had happened and what she was doing here but the more she tried, the more the pain jammed into her head. The door pushed open and some uniformed maids filed in,two of them wheeling a trolley filled with delicious food and drinks while others wheeled a cloth trolley.Fay watched them wheel them towards the bed and they turned to her,Fay tried to sit up irrespective of the pain and soreness she felt all over her body.“Where am I?" Fay asked silently“Good morning,ma'am
Fay stood in front of the large, ornatemirror, mesmerized by the reflection staringback at her. The harsh, rough edges of herpast had faded, replacedby the image of ayoung woman who looked almost like astranger. Her hair now ,brushed and shining, fell insoft waves around her shoulders and thetattered clothes that once clung to her skinin desperation had been replaced by asimple yet elegant dress that hugged hercurves in all the right places. For the first time in what felt likeforever, she didn't feel like the world wasclosing in on her. She stared at thedelicate sapphire necklace Dominic hadgifted her, its blue stone reflecting a lightthat almost seemed to glow.It was a small touch but it's made herfeel... Precious. Special, even. She inhaleddeeply, trying to ground herself but therewas still that lingering tension in her chest. The trauma she had endured was notsomething that could be wiped away with apretty dress or a new life in a mansion. The sound of footsteps
Dominic had been searching for hours. After the rigorous training session, he'dexpected to find Fay somewhere within thefacility, still working to master the basics. But when he'd checked the gym, theweight room, even the locker rooms, she was nowhere to be found. His Patience was wearing thin, not because he was angry but because he worried about her, about how she was feeling. She had so much potentials but the pressure of her new world ,the weight of it all had begun to crush her.It was when he was nearing the edge of the building ,walking along the perimeter near a small garden that he spotted her.She was alone, sitting on the edge of the company's outdoor pool, her legs dangling lazily in the water. Her back was turned to him and she looked small, almost fragile against the vastness of the steel walls that surrounded them. The contrast of her delicate form against the raw, industrial landscape made something inside Dominic twist with concern. He moved closer, his steps quiet
The halls of Steelworks were cold andsterile, lined with steel walls and polishedfloors that reflected the overhead lights likemirrors. Fay walked through the corridors, her steps slow and calculative as she tried to make sense of everything that had happened. The distant hum of the machinery reminded her of the tension that still clung tight to her.The people she had seen were all strong, confident and powerful, they only seemed to highlight her own doubts and constant insecurities.Fay couldn't shake off the feeling that she didn't belong here, that she would never fit in.As she turned to a corner, her thoughts wereinterrupted by a group of girls who werewalking in the opposite direction. Theywere laughing, their high heels clickingagainst the floor as they chatted amongstthemselves. Fay stepped aside , trying her best to make herself as invincible as possible. The girls were so engrossed in their discussion and didn't notice her at first but then one of them, a tall blonde
Fay stood by the large windows, her hands wrapped around the cool metal railing as she looked out over the vast grounds of Steelworks. The wind carried the earthy scent of the forest, and the sky was beginning to darken, the soft orange hue of sunset casting a glow across the horizon. She tried to clear her mind, but it was impossible. Her thoughts kept drifting back to the training, to the words the others had spoken, and to the way her own body had betrayed her. She had wanted so desperately to prove herself, to be strong like the others, but each time she failed, it felt like another piece of her was breaking. She was so lost in her thoughts that shedidn't notice Dominic approaching. Hispresence was always a quiet force, butthis time, she felt him before she saw him.He was talking in hushed tones to a groupof huge men-werewolves, like him. They were standing in a circle, their bodylanguage imposing, the air thick withauthority. She could barely make out thewords, but sh
The cold steel floor beneath her feet wasnothing compared to the coldness she feltinside. Fay stood in the center of thetraining room, trying to steady her breath.Around her, the pack moved with graceand purpose, shifting effortlessly betweenforms, demonstrating enhanced sensesand agility with such ease that Fay couldn'thelp but feel inadequate.Dominic stood nearby, watching her with athoughtful expression. "Focus, Fay. Feelyour connection to the ground, to the air.You need to center yourself before you cantap into your instincts."Fay nodded, but her mind was far fromcalm. Every time she attempted to focus, itfelt as if she was swimming against anoverwhelming current. While the others seemed born for this life, she could barely manage to control her senses. Her heightened hearing, her vision--everything seemed to overwhelm her. She couldn't seem to overwhelm her. She couldn't quite make sense of it. Why wasn't this coming naturally to her?"Alright, let's start simp
The night was cold, and the air felt thick with an unsettling tension as Lady Rosie stood at the back entrance of the mansion. The sharp wind tugged at her cloak, swirling it around her like an omen. The pale crescent moon barely illuminated the courtyard, casting long, sinister shadows that seemed to stretch and shift with every gust of wind. She stared into the darkness, her thoughts spiraling as she tried to process the failure of her mission. The rogue wolves had been sent to eliminate Fay, but instead, they had returned empty-handed, with nothing but a pitiful tale of failure.Lady Rosie's jaw tightened as she thought about it. She had underestimated Fay's strength. But there was more to this. Someone powerful had intervened on Fay's behalf. She didn't know who or what this new threat was, but it was clear this force had protected Fay. And that realization made her blood boil. Nobody, not even a wolf, stood in her way.Her thoughts were interrupted by the heavy sound of approachi
Dominic sat beside Fay on the bed, his eyes full of concern as he gently wrapped a thick, warm, blanket around her shivering body. Her skin was ice cold to the touch, and her breathing still came in ragged gasps. The transformation had taken a toll on her, but he knew she would be alright. The room was quiet, save for the faint crackling of the fire in the hearth, which cast soft, dancing shadows across the stone walls. The Elders had shown them to a small, secluded room in the ancient building where they could rest. Dominic had already prepared a calming herbal brew for her, the scent of mint and lavender filling the air. He helped her drink it slowly, watching as she winced slightly at the bitter taste, but she sipped it down, her fingers trembling against the cup."That should help you relax," Dominic murmured softly, brushing a strand of her damp hair from her forehead. "You did well, Fay. That was... an incredible moment."Fay nodded, but her gaze was distant, as if she were sti
The air inside the car was thick with anticipation as Dominic drove toward the unknown. Fay sat beside him, her hands tightly clenched in her lap, her mind swirling with a mix of fear, confusion, and excitement. The journey had been long, but they were finally close. The Elders had asked to meet her--no, they needed to meet her. It was time for her to understand who she truly was, what she was destined to become. It was time.As the car came to a slow stop, Fay looked out the window, her breath catching in her throat. The building before them was massive, ancient and intimidating. Towering stone walls stretched up to the sky, covered in ivy and worn by time. At the entrance stood two giant wolf statues, their eyes fierce and unblinking, as if guarding the threshold to a realm beyond her comprehension. The statues were worn, but their majesty still commanded respect.Dominic's voice cut through her thoughts as he turned off the engine. "We're here."Fay nodded silently, her heart raci
The night was thick with an eerie silence that settled like a heavy blanket over the mansion. Outside, Fay could hear even the faintest sounds, she listened as the wind whispered through the trees, and inside perhaps from the very far distance, all was still. Was this all that comes with her powers, with her wolf awakening? She decided to focus on just one sound and then almost successfully the only sound she brought herself to hear now was the steady, rhythmic breathing of Dominic as he slept, his chest rising and falling in the peaceful rhythm of slumber. Fay lay awake beside him, staring up at the dark ceiling and at the sane time, trying to control the bubbling inside her veins. For wolves sake, she could even hear her blood surging in her human-wolf veins. Her mind was far from peaceful, troubled by thethoughts of the future and the power she was still learning to control. The faint hum of her own energy buzzed in the background, but it was the images of the Council, the threat
The room remained eerily still as the last echoes of Fay's explosive display faded into the air. The trainers, who had been silent witnesses to the unexpected eruption of power, began to stir, their murmurs low but filled with awe. "Good grief, she's becoming powerful" Someone whispered "More than Dominic? I don't think so." Someone whispered back."How in the name of the moon goddess did she do that?" Another asked."Is she really what they're all saying she is?"One by one, they filed out of the room, speaking in hushed tones to one another, clearly shaken by what they had just witnessed. The training hall, usually filled with the sounds of combat and training, now seemed haunted by the aftermath of the power that had surged from Fay.Fay stood in the center of the room, still reeling from the overwhelming wave of strength that had taken hold of her. Her breath came in quick, shallow gasps as she tried to steady herself. She could still feel the pulse of her wolfs energy thrummin
The sounds of the training room echoed through the mansion, a constant rhythm of grunts, footsteps, and the clash of limbs as the fighters trained relentlessly. Sweat dripped from their brows, muscles straining under the weight of their efforts. The trainers, sitting at the sidelines, observed with sharp eyes, making sure every move was executed perfectly, every strike counted. In the middle of it all stood Fay, her body poisedand alert, facing her opponent - Dominic. She had been training with him for weeks now, growing more powerful each day.Today, however, was different. Today, Dominic had decided to push her further, to challenge her in ways he hadn't before. He nodded to her challenger, telling him to take a break as he walked to Fay who was looking surprised as well as the other trainers.Fay gave him a questioning look and he only smiled, he could see the uncertainty in her eyes as he stepped forward , she stood doubting if it was possible to combat Dominic. She felt the ten
The quiet of the mansion settled over Dominic like a blanket, his mind wandering to the changes that had come into his life. His chest was bare, the smooth skin of his muscles stretching as he stood before the mirror. In the reflection, his inky ancient tattoos seemed darker, deeper, as if they too were growing with the awakening that had started within him. His mind was full of thoughts...thoughts about Fay, about her power, about the future that seemed so uncertain but still so full of promise. He was aware of the changes happening within her, but every time he looked at her, it felt as though the transformation was unfolding at a faster pace than even he had expected.Dominic's gaze was unfocused as he stared at himself, contemplating the mysteries that lay ahead, but the sound of the bathroom door creaking open pulled him from his thoughts. He glanced over, his heart skipping a beat when he saw Fay emerge from the bathroom, the dim light casting soft shadows across her silhouet
The grand hall of the council chambers was bathed in the soft glow of chandeliers overhead, the long wooden table stretched out in front of Alpha Roderick and Gwen, casting shadows across the polished floor. The members of the council had long arrived, they sat in silence as they continued to wait patiently for Alpha Roderick, the expression on their faces were mixed with distain and patienceThey had long been expecting the Alpha's arrival and here it was...the power dynamics of their world would shift in a way none of them expected.Roderick walked into the room first, his chestproud and head held high. He had always commanded respect, always walked with the confidence of someone who was in control. But today, he was no longer alone. Gwen, his Luna, the one who holds the final say , followed closely behind, her every step a proof to the authority she now wielded. As they entered the room together, the council members turned to look at themselves andbshifted uncomfortably in their
Alpha Roderick stood before the large, ornate mirror in his quarters, adjusting the collar of his black suit. The reflection staring back at him was one he had seen countless times, but today, it felt different. There was something in the air-an unspoken shift, a quiet storm that made the hair on the back of his neck stand at attention. His broad shoulders were square with the mirror as he fastened his cufflinks, each one a reminder of the power he had built and the weight of the legacy he carried as Alpha of the pack. He wasn't just an Alpha; he was the leader of a force that demanded respect. Yet, as he prepared for the upcoming meeting with the council, something felt of. He couldn't quite place it, but the nagging feeling in his gut gnawed at him.The door to his room creaked open softly, and a figure stepped inside. Roderick didn't need to turn around to know who it was. Gwen, his Luna, the woman who had become his anchor, his strength, and, lately, his guide in more ways than on
Fay walked down the long hallway, her footsteps echoing softly against the polished marble floor. The walls, lined with portraits of ancestors and old arts, seemed to stretch on forever. But it wasn't the ornate décor that caught her attention today it was the eyes of the people she passed. Before, they had always looked at her with curiosity or indifference, but now it was different. They greeted her with smiles, some even waved, their faces lighting up when they saw her. She could hear whispers of her name, carried to her on the breeze of their Conversations. It was as if she had become someone entirely new, someone who had earned their respect-or perhaps their admiration. But the change unsettled her a little. She wasn't sure if she wasready for all this attention, for this new version of herself. As she walked, she tried to steady her nerves, focusing on the way the hallway curved just ahead. At the end of the corridor. Dominic's office door stood slightly ajar, a faint light spi
