ALEX'S POV

As I sat in that cold cell, I was surrounded by the stench of sweat and desperation. The guy next to me, a burly man with a thick beard, kept trying to strike up a conversation.

"Hey, what's your story, friend?" he asked, eyeing me with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion.

I've been wrongly accused and imprisoned, torn away from my loved ones and forced to endure the harsh realities of life behind bars.

It was hard to want to relate with others.
