But the doctor made everything seem like things were really bad. Dad was being moved to another section of the hospital, and we were all gathered in the waiting room, waiting for the results.

Rhonda was pacing back and forth, her eyes fixed on the door. Olivia was sitting next to me, her hand in mine. I could feel her fear and worry, and I knew that she was trying to be strong for me.

He came to give me a final checkup before the discharge. "You're looking good, Alex," he said with a smile.“I feel good too.” I did with a smile.Dr Pepper nodded, “Does that mean you won't be visiting us again anytime soon?”

Olivia's POVAs I stepped out of the sky pod and onto the familiar streets of SkyCity, I felt a mix of emotions. Excitement, nostalgia, and a hint of nervousness all swirled together in my chest. I had missed this place, and the people in it. Especially my friends at the Barnes. The Barnes was more than just a tavern – it was a hub of activity, a gathering place for the community. The sky pods zooming by, the chatter of pedestrians, the wail of sirens in the distance – it was a

Olivia's POVI stood in the living room, looking at my family with excitement. The Christmas tree twinkled in the corner, and the fireplace crackled with warmth. "Hey guys, I have an idea," I said, trying to contain my enthusiasm. "I was thinking we could all go to the Barnes Tavern for the New Year's Eve special. I work there, and it would be so much fun to spend the evening together."My mom, Rhonda, looked at Alex, her expression concerned. She was sitting on the couch, her blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail, and her blue eyes sparkling with worry. "I don't know, Liv. Your stepdad just had a heart attack, and I don't want to leave him alone."Alex waved his hand dismissively, his brown hair messy and his green eyes twinkling with amusement. "I'm fine, Rhonda. "I'm not scared, I'm just stupid. I keep pushing him away, and now he's gone."Alicia smiled. "He's not gone, Liv. He's right over there, looking at you like he can't live without you."

"Time for your medication, Alex!" she chimed.I raised an eyebrow, sarcasm dripping from my voice. "More drugs? Can't I just have a break from all this medication for once?"Rachel chuckled.
