It had almost been ten minutes later since daren watched over terra and jason still in the trance they were. He studied them closely and smiled,
They actually fit! He thought,
The only problem was neither wanted to accept, it was like they felt guilty for it, he knew the magnetic feeling they had for each other since the beginning,
Aratia enhanced the feelings, it was like a driving force between them, he at least hoped they would realise they were meant for each other before it was too late.
His head snapped towards the direction of vulpix, smoke rose from the distance, the smell of burning wood slowly saturating the air, his keen shifter nose catching it as it came, it didn't look like a festival fire..no, more like things were burning.
Realisation seeped into him, he looked frantically at his friends, whatever they were doing, they better hurry, they were in danger...
C'mon terra......

She appeared in a vast area of land, the memory looked hazy, it meant it was either moved to the rear of his memory by a mage or a very crappy elemental, either way she had been able to access it which meant she had grown strong,
A figure appeared out of the mist, it formed a bewildered jason, she stood in awe, how had he been able to access his own thoughts like that?,
"Er.. Terra?, how am I here?" He asked looking around,
"I don't know, its impossible, unless-" she said cutting it off as a little version of them ran across the field,
Little terra dragged little jason down the hill, he was shouting about where he was, she didn't reply and kept going,
"Is that?-"
"We have to move now!" She said dragging a shocked Jason with her,
The memory was too sharp for her to forget, instead she allowed it to play by itself,
******
Little terra kept on running, she looked over her shoulder to see if the prince followed.
His life was the last thing her mama told her to protect, he was the reason her parents were killed, accidentally coming back to this realm and her parents the last of allies to the house elixtu, had paid with their souls to protect him.
She wiped a tear from her face, at eight she had been training to go to this world her parents were to put her with the queen, all they said were to protect the prince with her life and she would.
The sound of horse riders thundering down resonated in the distance as she got to the cave, it was the right one, she sighed in relief,
"Where are we and what happened to your parents" Prince jason asked,
"Later ikir, my mame is terrena and I'll explain when we get to your w-home" she corrected herself,
Prince jason nodded in pure obliviousness, he thought he was still at his backyard,
She moved to the stone statues, one depicted a man and woman held together in a tight embrace, the goddess of marriage frera stood beside her husband the god of portals metron.
She was told to specifically use the other cave but she knew this one was closer and faster, for once she would do things her way. She motioned for the prince to move forward and he did, she removed the chain necklace on her neck and tied it around her hand and his as a link to help the both of them not lose each other when they switched dimensions. She could see the yetrons a bird with the head of a bird and the back of scorpion, the warriors were getting closer,
She turned her attention back at the Prince and saw he was playing with the orb of frera, fear went through her, a wrong turn could-
FLASH!!
She fell to the ground as the light was blinding, she felt a surge of energy pass through her, she opened her eye to see the chain glowing, her eyes enlarged, he had linked them!, what had he done?!!!,
She didn't have time to think as she touched the portal and dragged jason in in time to watch the first shadow riders appear......
************
Jason watched as the little Prince touched the orb, he felt like a fool. A part of him scolded that he was young but he ignored it, terrena was suffering because of the little mistake he caused. There was only one answer to this problem and he was going to solve it..
*
Terra drew him to the entrance of the cave, she had hated him at first for what he did but knew better now, if he hadn't appeared in the realm, she would've died with her parents. A glance at jason wrote guilt all over his face, terra desperately wanted to tell him how she felt but kept quiet, she’d better leave him to his thoughts,
"We have to get to the alter" she said as he moved voluntarily, the memory had finished and it felt like time paused,
A blue orb shone at the chest of frera, terra stretched my hand at it as it held her tight, she felt what he felt and cringed, he indeed felt for her at first but he’d let his guilt cover it up.
She motioned for him to stretch his hand at the orb and he nodded,
"Terra, before we do this, I have to tell you something," he said,
She turned to him, his golden iris swirling in a distant look,
"I will find a way to break it terra, I promise" he said,
All at once terra felt her insides turn, her heart fell, for a while she thought he'd admit it and we could move on. A quick smile to her face stopped any suspicion he might have had,
What if I don't want it broken?, what if I told you I loved you?, she thought,
He stretched his hand as it enveloped him, a shock went through both our bodies as a bright light radiated out....
*†*
Daren saw a spark push the two of them apart, his eyes darted to the two of them as they slowly came out of their trance, a red vein moving through their hand caught his attention and he stared at it as it slowly stopped at their palm, it swirled and stopped it formed a twig and he opened my eyes wide in shock....
Jason felt the sunlight pour in through his eyes making him stumble backwards,
Ugh!, that hurts!! he heard in his head,
he snapped my head towards terra in surprise, she saw his expression,
"You heard that?" She asked,
"Yeah, guess it works" jason replied,
Daren just stared at their wrists in awe,
"Dude what's it again?" jason asked,
He pointed to the marks that pulsed with red life in them,
since when did he get a new tattoo? jason thought,
Terra stared at her wrists in panic and drew his hand closer forcefully, he shifted closer as she began to shake her head,
"What's wrong?, a side effect?" he said,
"You could say that" daren replied,
"Of ALL the things to HAPPEN!!" She screamed,
"Terra what is it?” jason asked holding her as he felt a tingle of electricity pass through him, he moved back in shock,
"That's what happened" terra said,
Jason shook my head clearly oblivious to what they were saying,
"We're not only bonded mentally but physically!" She screamed,
Let me say it took a minute for that to settle and fully understand, he shook his head in frustration,
Why?!, why must my life get more complicated by the minute?!!, he screamed inwardly,
"Hey!, not so loud in there!" Terra shouted,
he muttered an apology and stepped back, all he wanted was just to use the mind power for future cases and guess where that lands them, maybe he should stop making the choices and let them lead.
He felt a soft hand hold him and the jolt pass through his body, he stared into the eyes of terra,
"None of this I'd your fault Jason, stop blaming yourself for it" she said softly,
he nodded, forcing his gaze away from her,
Damn!, she's beautiful! He thought and mentally slapped myself,
"Wait...you heard that?" I said as she nodded getting red,
He kicked at the innocent looking grass on the floor,
"I'd really love to watch the two of you go mushy but we've got to move" daren said pointing at Vulpix,
Jason turned towards the direction of Vulpix, smoke rose in great quantities,
"What the hell happened?" I ask,
"My guess?, marxis sent the veratus to eliminate any rumors of your return" terra said,
"Let's move, the earlier we get to the temples, the earlier we can get this bonding stuff over with" jason replied moving forward.
They maneuvered through the forests with ease, daren moved at jasons side with terra at his back, she thought him how to block the connection so he did it....for the betterment of them. Daren looked at him, he managed a smile back,
"So, how are you and terra?" He asked,
"Cool, the faster we cut the bond the better for both of us" jason reply,
He kept quiet for a minute, obviously thinking,
"And do you want the bond broken?" He asked,
No, no I don't, jason thought,
"Well it's definitely affecting her so I have to" he reply looking forwards,
"I asked you if you wanted it broken not her opinion" daren said,
To accept the fact that he loved her was disturbingly strange, they had been friends for so long and a lot of denials from his part had left him on the safe zone, to leave that safe zone was scary,
jason was about to reply when he felt a sharp pain in my head, he knelt,
"Jason help!!, detok!!" Terra screamed,
"Terra?!!, terra!!" jason screamed mentally,
He turned behind in a blur, realizing to some horrific fact that she was gone, his brain failing to understand how it had happened, he turned to daren frantically, he understood, he moved backwards sniffing the air and growled.
He called jason back and he dashed down, jason didn't care if he felt guilty of the bond, hell the bond just helped now, they moved through a corner till we saw terra moving towards a man playing a harp.
Jason moved to call her when daren held him back, glaring at him in anger, that was terra!!,
"Dude, that's the goddamed prince of the feys!!" He said,
"So?!, I'll rip him to shreds!!" jason replied,
"If you move, she dies!" He said,
Jason calmed down, the thought of her dying brought me down,
"So, what's the plan?" I asked...
To say terrena was scared out of her mind would be a terrible understatement, she was terrified, shocked, name it. Terra wasn't still sure the quick call she did to jason worked, even though she taught him how to counter it, there was a loophole around it. The thought of the prince of feys made her cold, he was legend, born from the fear and deaths he caused during the reign of maximus elixtu, Said to be the son of herandra, queen of summer and sister of refrot the king of winter, he was the spawn of a terrible taboo, an offspring between siblings, the thought of it made her cringe. He had the face and beauty of herandra, her glow and smile, but within that smile was the mask of his father refrot, his heart forged of metal and only lives to shed the blood upon the alter of refrot as a tribute to the allied god of darkness dradror. It was said his mother denied him at birth, casted him down from her kingdom at the root of the tree of wisdom and left hi
DERORA The forest was so grate on her nerves, with the veratus hacking at the vines upfront and the thoughts of the prophecy the woman said, she was beginning to feel boxed in, it was not a feeling she liked, For when she got angsty blood will be spilled They got to a clearing as she was hit by an aura so pure it turned her insides, she had felt it before, an elixtu.Getting down from her reptile and walked to the figure that laid on the floor, the veratus parted ways for her. What she saw wasn't human, it was someone she had to settle a score with, a smile came on her face as she kicked him jolting him back to life, watching as his seemingly dislocated jaw fixed back with a bony click, "If it isn't the detok, prince of the feys" derora said, He looked up and knelt, blood trailed down the side of his head, he spat blood from his mouth,
MARXISAwholeday!Marxis thought furiously,He'd expected derora to drag the unconscious body of the prince through that door, but so far nothing. He paced around the room anxiously, he had nothing to report to herega. Now he heard the prophecy that she'd serve illumino, he had to find a way around it.Thunder rumbled in the distance, he turned in fear to the doors as they swung open forcefully, pain shot through him making him fall and twist in agony,"How dare YOU?!!" Heregas voice screamed, the voice of the goddess vibrating his very being, teeth grit as he tried to withstand the force,Frankly he would have had a better chance withstanding an hurricane,With the force of chaos he was blasted right through a stone pillar, his reinforced body, the only thing to save him.He clenched his hands in anger, is this what he had become?, he who took over the realm in a day, forced
JasonThe veratus charged forwards, jason stood back and slashed at the first, it crumbled in a heap of dust, the second was almost within striking distance when someone dragged him inside the house. The door closed with a thud and he saw terra muttering something, the door shifted and merged with the floor, it grew vines and connected to the walls,"It won't hold for long!" She shouted,"Quick!, follow me!" Taret shouted as they bounded towards the backyard,The sky was moonless giving us the perfect cover, we came out on the streets, bodies of men and women filled the streets, blood leaking from parts of their bodies,We moved quickly through the streets and stood before a building, it looked old,"There's a hidden passage here, it will lead you to the outskirts of the village" Taret said as something whizzed pass jasons face,Taret fell to the ground, his throat had an arrow imbedded in it, terra screamed
JASONThe first ball of fire flew at him from an angry terra, he bent and jumped sideways to avoid it, it blew on the wall sending sparks about. Jason looked at her in shock, what was wrong with her?, daren moved to hold her, she stared at him in anger as he moved backwards,"Sorry jace, on your own " daren said,Jason gave him my best 'are you kidding me' glare, daren just sat on a table and watched, jason turned back to an angry terra, common sense told him he had better try calm her down,"Look terra, I'm sorry for whatever I did" he said as she hurled another ball, jason ducked and rolled to safety,"You don't even know what you did!" She shouted prepping another ball,Wrong choice of words,"Alright, I'm sorry for what I did today!" he replied,Wait!,wrongchoiceagain!jason mentally said to himself as she sent another volley,Okay th
JASON jason stared at the goddess of the moon who just beat the crap out of him in less than a minute, unsurprising seeing as she’s. She definitely looked intimidating, I shifted on the rock I sat, "Is it true you fought derora?" She asked, "If you mean a dark-haired lady with glowing red eyes and a very dark aura then yes" he replied, She chuckled and stood up, her flowing blue attire floating in the breeze, "What did the almighty illummino tell you?" She said with a note of frustration, "That I'm supposed to free Aratia from herega and her disciple" "Did he explain how this is all connected?" She pressed on, "No, what's connected?" he replied, "It's not my place to talk, perhaps when you meet that riffraff aether, he'll explain" she said, She definitely had anger issues and what seems like a grudge towa
Derora He'llpayforthis, theprincewillpayforthis!, Those were the thoughts that went through her head as she summoned another beast from the abyss. With her current state, she shouldn't be risking it, but she had to, it will not be said that she, derora, was defeated by a mere thorn of the elixtus. To open the portal into the abyss was not easy task, one would be contending with malevolent forces that would love nothing more than to grab the soul of the invoker, rip it from their bodies and drag it down into the depths of the abyss where unspeakable horrors would be done on such a soul, but derora was different, she had lived in the abyss, only the real denizens of the abyss would even think of trying
DERORA The sun had began to show its irritating rays when she woke up, darathos flew low and scraped the trees, "Derora, awakearewe?"He said through the link, "Yes,shouldn'thavetakenlongtogettothevillageonair"derora replied while staring at the forests, The trees were getting thinner and she saw signs of smoke in front, the veratus moved quietly through the forests while passing the rays of sunlight, they neither flinched nor burn, whatever she did to them made them stronger. "Wepassedthevillage, noonewasthere,Itracedtheirscentthisway, twoscentsactually, thestrongerwentthisway"darathos said, If what he said was right, then it had to be the scent of the prince and

Deep within his heart he knew,Itwasover,fornow...He grunted as he stood up and surveyed the room, it was definitely a royal room, but if he recalled, the palace had been destroyed. He looked himself over to notice he was in a silk pyjama and top,Whochangedme? He thought,He moved to the doors as he drew them open, two men were s

JASONJasonfelt weightless, a novel feeling as he had either been running, killing, or dodging attacks to end his life. His body was free, like he was floating on the air. That was when his senses kicked in, the memories of the fight,Derora,Aether,Marxis,Hisdeath,Jason opened his eyes to a shinning palace, a single golden throne in the middle with men in hooded gold cloaks with hoods surrounding it, and on the throne was a face he would never forget,"Illummino" jason whispered,He radiated love and affection,"Jason alecto elixtu" he said,Immediately jason felt energy course through his body as he stood up, his body stronger, his sight sharper as he gasped,"You have ascended jason" he said,Jas
JASONHiding inside a fortress protected by a golden door and being attacked by a demonic huntress was never on jasons’ to do list, and to make matters worse,Marxis was still unconscious!!"Some king you are”jason thought angrily as he slapped his face,Marxis bolted up from the floor, groaning as he rolled amidst the earth-shattering quakes that were going on outside,"Hope you slept well your Highness?!" jason growled over the fire bolts that constantly hit the door and the sound of the Battle raging outside,Marxis still looked dazed,"Hey!" jason shouted as he snapped back to reality,"What is happening?" He shouted terrified,"Derora happened!" jason replied,"Somehow that huntress of
JASONThe iron doors of jasons’ cell opened as two shadow warriors entered. He groaned as the held him by the shoulder and roughly made him stand up, jason glanced at his mother and saw the look of resignation on her eyes, she had accepted this fate,Hers, not his.The took jason through the passages till they got to the labour grounds, men and women alike, hauling stones to build the statue of Marxis, jason clenched his Hands in anger, when he take back his throne, marxis and the statue were going to the bottom of the deepest sea in Aratia. Many people who knew jason for who he truly was nodded and the whispers of "ikir" filled the air, he smiled, even though Marxis might be the ruler, this was one thing he could never have, the respect of the people, strange considering the fact that they loathed and loved his father. Finally, jason saw Marxis in front, dressed in what looked like a silly blue ro
JASON Jasonwas asleep in his cell, Or so he tried, He could not bring himself to sleep, aside from the fact that the cell was filthy, reeked of blood, not his for the most part and he slept on nothing but bare ground that was cold, it was like his essence was pulling at him to cleanse the whole palace of any filth that resided there. And it got worse when herega arrived, I could barely keep myself from remaining dormant, with nothing to do, jason often wondered how he would cope when he was in the same room with her. Then came the explosions in the castle, from the rumors down here it seemed like herega and derora had a fall out. It seemed like the perfect opportunity was presenting itself, it was a matter of time before jason got
DERORAThe doors of the throne room opened as derora stepped in. She had returned the prince to Marxis the day before, now was time for the mage to fulfil his part of the deal. Not that she would not kill him in the end, marxis was too cunning a threat to be left alive, but derora needed to make sure no one found the parchment ever again. The useless piece of paper contained the only thing that could serve as her death,It had the last piece of her soul.Derora had once been a living being, a human warrior bordering the wastelands to the north of the loup de sang territories, not much people knew that piece of history, and she preferred to keep it that way. If any other creature could get their hands on it, it could spell her doom and she for one would like
Dedicatedtoeveryone who stillstuckby me through this adventure JASON The dry, stale air of a basement woke him up, jason groaned and cracked his rather rather stiff neck. He could only open one eye, the only sound he could hear were the dripping of water, he narrowed his eyes to see better in this dark dungeon. Yes, jason was finally at the palace. That much he knew. The only source of light was the small square window that fed little rays into this place, jason assessed himself. He was downright filthy, his cloth had the smell of blood on it. His hands were chained to the wall, jason sighed and closed his one good eye, he fought the urge to scream in pain and sadness, but this was for the good of the realm, I,thesacrificeofAratia, With a heavy sigh rumbling in his chest jason laid back on the g
DERORA Shestood in front of the cave, a look of satisfaction drawn all over her face. The prince and his cohorts were trapped inside the cave, it was all a matter of time till he came to face his fate. The energy blast he did affected deroras ability to summon the abyss, the rest of the creatures she created were gone, a few remained, the ones who fought the light until the very end. She looked at her hand as she tried to summon a black orb of energy, it only produced wisps of smoke and disappeared with the wind, she frowned, he also took something from her, she couldn't feel her full powers again, whatever magic he did must had affected her system. Derora heard the sounds of footsteps moving towards her direction, at least she could feel the energy print of the creature. Detok stood by her side, his armour gleaming in the sun like that of an executioners which he
