Chapter: 59.
******The garden flowers smelled divine, it soothes the wave of nausea that had plagued him all day long. As he walked, he let his hands wander over to the topiaries that lined the path, admiring the variety of colors and patterning they presented. He felt better with every step he took forward, he felt lighter, as if all of his burdens were lifted off his shoulders for a moment in order for him to enjoy his surroundings more fully. A pleasant breeze rustled his hair and caressed his skin, his body was covered from the neck down by a heavy coat, which only served to make him feel colder instead of warmer. Even his body temperature seems out of place, just like his health in the past few weeks. His breath rose in visible clouds and then dissipated on the autumn air around him. The sun hung low in the sky and cast its rays on his face, turning it a soft yellow hue. In spite of this, the wind persisted in picking at his sleeves, tugging gently at them as they fluttered back and forth. It reminded him how much work the past weeks had been. Each passing hour and minute of each day brought him closer to the birthdate of his pups. The happiness he saw in Conri's eyes on the day he broke the news was one that had stayed stuck in his memory ever since.********"You look gorgeous," Accalia said softly, her voice still hushed even as she approached him. She's smiling so brightly that it makes him dizzy. She stands next to him, her fingers intertwined with his own.Smiling and nodding quickly to her sister's words, Blevine added. "I agree, sister... He looks radiant, like a star fallen from the Goddess's throne!"It was the night of his Bonding Ceremony, and they being sisters to the Lycan, they and Eva were the only ones Conri permitted to get him ready, but it wasn't only the Bonding Ceremony that had him all flushed in the cheeks, he had also just learned from Dr. Creiff that morning that he was a few weeks gone."Congratulations Luna, you're carrying!" Creiff announced, and Caleb nodded shyly, rubbing the back of his head before giving a little giggle as his eyes met the doctor. It wasn't that big of a shocker since he felt it from the moment it happened. He only needed to be certain. Creiff gave him a bright smile and squeezed his hand gently."You need to rest as much as possible, I worry since tonight is your Bonding Ceremony, you must inform the Alpha at once so he goes gentle with you because of the babies,""Babies?!" Caleb squeaked out, eyes wide with amazement and curiosity."Yes, Luna," Dr. Creiff handed him a photo and he could make out the little distinction between what looked like three pups or cubs growing inside him. He couldn't help the laugh that escaped him, "They are very cute, don't you agree?" Creiff asked, bemused. "And you have made some Birth Omega very glad," He added, referring to the Luna Phoenix.Caleb felt his eyes brim with unshed tears. He couldn't stop the happy laughter that left his lips as he looked over to the doctor. "Please, don't tell anyone yet."Dr. Creiff chuckled and shook his head. "Of course, it's your news, tell it whenever you're ready," He said with a kind, understanding tone. "But I believe you should tell your Alpha first, he must go gentle with you tonight, there could be complications if he doesn't. .." He trailed off suggestively before turning to walk away.Once he left, Caleb couldn't stop grinning. He was going to be a Birth Omega, and he will try his hardest to be the best for his pups. He was so excited about getting their names and personalities written down. Would they all be a mix of Lycan and Weretiger? His mind wandered thoughtfully. He knew he would do whatever it takes to care for and protect them. He loved them already. He hid the picture and walked back into the car. He was still beaming but was glad when neither Reece nor Mano asked him why. They just drove him home. It's been a year since his mother's death, and he was grateful when the Lycan gave him a year to mourn before proposing their Bonding Ceremony. And in that time, he's never known more love and care. Conri spoiled him silly. He took him places, bought him things, and taught him a lot about himself. And how to be the Great Luna of a Lycanthrope. But most importantly, Conri showed him how to be loved. He never pushed him or forced him to do anything against his will; he just encouraged him.Conri always seemed to know the right thing to say or do to cheer him up. The times they had lost in hate, Conri made up for, and soon the pain of his mother's death slowly began to slip away, and his heart began to heal. He began to open up and trust again. So many of his fears of rejection disappeared, and after that day, he found himself happier than he'd ever been. His heart was filled with peace and contentment, and he didn't want any other life if it wasn't the one with the Lycan in it. If anything, he wants to grow old with Conri, he wants him to spend every second of his life by his side, watching those colorful eyes glisten with joy, knowing that he had put them there, and now, with the pups on the way, everything has become perfect again. And she said he would never attain this height. The ride to Rocky Moon was smooth and by the time they arrived, both sisters and Eva were waiting alongside Luna Phoenix to welcome him into the family."Hey. what are you thinking so deeply about?" Eva nudged him by the side, and he shook his head, giggling softly. "Wow, look at you," She cooed. "Get up, see yourself in the mirror," She told him, and without waiting another second he stood up. As he did, he realized that the sun had completely dipped below the horizon, and the moonlight bathed the forest in an ethereal glow. The trees swayed and creaked slightly in the wind as if whispering tales of love found, and memories made. The air smelled sweet and inviting, full of magic and promises. All four stood together before taking a few steps back and bowing respectfully to him."Luna Caleb, please accept our congratulations on your Bonding Ceremony, we wish you great joy, and may this union keep us all together forever." They all chorused in a singsong voice. Their voices mixed perfectly with the leaves and birdsong of nature. Caleb felt at home, as though he'd been there all along."Thank you all," He responded, facing the mirror fully. His eyes bulged at the sight before him. The only piece of clothing he wore, was white cotton shorts, that stuck to his thighs and he thinks made his ass look bigger. He wore beautiful jewels of great worth around his neck, wrists, nipples, and belly. All of which shone brightly, the moon reflecting in the many jewels adorning his chest. He smiled widely as he stared, Conri would lose his mind if he saw him. His eyes fell closed, the sound of the birds, the wind, and the animals singing in harmony, everything was so familiar and so peaceful. When he opened his eyes, he turned around to meet their beaming faces."Well?" Blevine asked."I look beautiful," He whispered, tears glistening in his eyes. "Perfect even.""No more tears, my love, don't ruin your makeup!" Phoenix scolded him with a chuckle. Caleb nodded and winced when he felt the Alpha's Mark begin to heat up. He looked down to find the moon glowing brightly. "It's time," Phoenix muttered and took him by the hand. "I'll walk you into the circle," He told him, and Caleb nodded.Under the night sky, the moon blazed from above, casting a haloed silver light that enveloped the whole place in its silvery glow. Everything sparkled beautifully, and the colors danced across the dark sky; it was breathtaking. The moon rose higher in the sky, casting shadows on the ground beneath it; the woods seemed to glow, the grass, flowers, and trees; and the stars glistened brighter than ever before. He could feel the bond, pulsing through their minds like a living humming melody, and when they stepped into the Bonding Hall, the mating wolves began howling. Their cries blended to make one beautiful mate call, a song that had his entire body thrumming with excitement.Present in the Hall were the Elders, Conri's fathers, his Soulmate, and his Betas. Even Dare was present, standing beside the Lion, Caleb smiled when he bowed in greeting as their eyes met. He bowed in return and flinched when he felt a sharp pain shoot up in his stomach, and when he returned his gaze to Dare, he saw the Rogue rubbing a hand soothingly on his belly.Caleb knew.Chapter: 60.******Caleb looked away and let his eyes search for his Mate and he found him standing in the circle, his gaze burned into him and the Alpha's Mark grew brighter. Phoenix pulled him back when he noticed he was walking faster, his gaze fixed on his Lycan. He leaned to whisper into his ears. "Remember, to control it until the ceremony is sealed, and think about the pups while you do it tonight," This had Caleb blushing a bright red and he lowered his gaze in embarrassment. A smile curled onto his face, and he nodded and looked up to his Alpha. Phoenix gave a soft nod, and kissed him briefly, before releasing him with a gentle squeeze of his hands. Caleb felt the tingling warmth run down his chest and to his fingertips. He gave a small smile as he turned to walk into the circle. As the pack members bowed to him, he gave them all a quick bow and then stood in front of the Alpha who was smiling warmly at him with a proud expression. He could feel how much Conri was trying to
Chapter: 61.******Both Conri and Leon paced the hallway of the hospital repeatedly, their heavy footsteps resounding like gunshots in the otherwise silent corridor. The Soulmates exchanged glances in between their anxious strides, a wordless conversation passing between them as they did so. “What’s taking so long?” Conri asked impatiently, his voice sounding much more strained than he had originally intended it to be. They had waited for over an hour. Does it usually take this long? They wondered. "You both need to sit down!" Phoenix yelled, but his words fell on deaf ears. The two continued to pace, never stopping in any one spot for more than a few seconds at a time. "I'm telling you both to sit down right now." His eyes widened as he caught sight of something across the hall; two men walking towards them. Phoenix made to run to them, but both Lycan and Lion beat him to it. "Fucking Creiff!" Leon yelled, grabbing the man by the shoulder. "What was happening in there? You won't l
"Why can't I have my own birthday?!" Dirk grumbled as he paced the Penthouse, glaring at his parents. Although he hasn't seen the Triplets since their eighth birthday, he still would like to have his sixteenth with his own group of friends. He shared birthdays with the Triplets for eight years, then his Father was called back to the Pride, and he took him along. Dare would refuse to come at first but eventually joined in when he got pregnant and just like always, Caleb got pregnant too. Once again, they both had Omegas whom they have both found their pride and joy and yet they won't let them be. "You haven't seen them in eight years!" Leon replied from where he sat in an armchair by the fireplace. "Be a little excited, you all will be having your first shifts tonight, and need I remind you, hopefully finding your Mates... As the Soulmate to the Alpha of Alphas, I must be there, and that can't happen if I am here throwing a birthday party for you." He tried to reason with his stubborn
(From 'When His Wolves Sing' Comes Another Epic Tale)"What Is Fate, Alpha Of Alphas?" The Alpha of all Alphas was standing in the center of the training grounds. The air around him seemed electrified as he paced, his long black hair flowing behind him like a cape. His dark eyes were locked on a figure that had appeared in the middle of the clearing. In an instant, his eyes began to change colors, taking the colors of his fathers Wolves. His Beta had asked a question but he did not hear it over his own heartbeat and roaring blood within his ears. His wolfsbane arrow was already drawn and aimed at his target before he fully processed what he saw. His wolf was fighting for control, begging him to put down his bow, he must not take that shot! His other hand gripped tightly the string of the bow, ready to fire. "Alpha, wait!!" The voice rang in his head but he did not listen. Not until the arrow had left his quiver and embedded itself in the heart of his prey. He watched from afar as the
Chapter: 1.*****The full moon blazed brightly in the night sky. The wind blew softly, rustling through his hair, rippling the grass in its wake. The soft hum of cicadas filled the air, adding to the peaceful sound of the forest at night. He took a deep breath, enjoying the cool night breeze and calm nature that accompanied it. It was a rare moment to be outside and feel the crisp air on his skin. A few seconds longer he stayed still, listening to all the sounds and scents of nature around him. It was one of his favorite times. The Full Moon. He couldn't wait to let his wolf out, to watch him run, hunt, and kill, it was all too exhilarating. He felt his Lycan stir within him and a smile tugged at his lips. "Come, brother. I need you out tonight." His words were said almost like a whisper, but his intent was loud, and clear in his mind. It was an invitation, a sign to come out. "It's our favorite night." He whispered again, letting his voice travel further into the darkness. His fing
Chapter: 2.*****A faint cry distracted him from his happy feast and once his eyes went in the direction his ears pointed to, a sudden smell wafted his way. With a snap of his jaws, Rafa turned toward the source and met nothing. The scent was strong; it was of wood fires and fresh herbs and it made his nose and his blood roar. Abandoning their fresh kill the Lycan sniffed the air, his sharpened nostrils picking up the scent of an omega, an omega in heat, alone on a full moon hunt night, and even worse she is releasing her pheromones in great amount that any Alpha could hurt her if they were nearby.Fur prickled across the Lycan's spine in response to the thought, making him growl low in his chest. He was furious, angry that an omega would venture on such a hunt on their own, and enraged that they would go on a full moon hunt at all, unprotected and completely unaware of the danger they were in. He has given specific instructions that Omegas shouldn't be left alone unprotected. Omegas
Chapter: 3.*****A TRIP INTO THE PAST. PT:1.******A helpless kitten was caught in a hunter's trap. He sat there whimpering and calling for help but after having sat there for nearly two hours he began to accept that no help was coming. His mother had told him not to go wandering around alone, they'd only just moved here and they weren't familiar with the grounds yet. The sixteen-year-old sat there crying and watching his leg bleed out. He has lost way too much blood already at this point he may even be losing a leg. Fuck, he should have listened to his mother. That regret was coming a little too late. Giving up on trying he lay in the damped grass and waited for death to take him. At least he would die with some dignity. He didn't know how long he lay there before a shadow loomed over him. Looking up he saw a pair of flaming-colored eyes staring back at him. It was the eyes of the Lycan he had heard so much about. Suddenly the impaled legs weren't hurting anymore as he grew terri
Chapter: 4.*****A TRIP INTO THE PAST. PT:2.*****Conri was on a ground patrol with his Betas when he felt his chest burn and his ears pick up a sound from a distance and he followed it. He had only taken his first shift yesterday and he was in a good mood, happy to run with his wolf and to get used to him. His Lycan was different, and he loved that."Where are you going, Alpha Of Alphas?!" Collen called after him when he saw him take a different route. The Lycan didn't bother to reply and the Betas left him to wander. As if a certain voice called to him, Conri ran, shifting on the way and by the time he reached the source of the cries, he couldn't think straight. As if a fog had clogged his sense of reasoning, the Lycan went crazier by the second. Once he had freed the Kitten and saw him try to run away. Both man and Beast lost consciousness as they gave chase. Crushing and setting the forest aflame with rage and unimaginable craving. The desire to ram into the little kitten unti

Chapter: 58.******The grounds were cold, and her skin was damp with condensation. The night air felt sharp against her face, and it didn't help that she was pressed face down into the wicked cold floor. Her breath made small clouds of mist that floated in the cool air before dissipating into nothingness. Her hair clung to her cheek, damp and clinging to her tears. The only light around her came from a single candle burning from where it was placed on a broken piece of wood. She felt trapped, but more than anything she felt useless. All her life she's had to run from one obstacle or another, and now she was left without an exit route. She was trapped in this room alone, even her son had abandoned her. She was neither allowed outside nor permitted to go in search of him.She wished to apologize for how she had spoken to him the last time. He was all she had left. And if she needed to escape this Hell, then she would need his help. Her wounds grew deeper, and they smell like rot and de
Chapter: 57.******Reynold had the dining hall decorated beautifully that morning. The tables were all polished to a shine with white tablecloths adorning the surface, and a large vase of roses sat in one corner to give them an air of romance. The chairs had fresh chrysanthemums placed around the edges, which gave off an extra scent. Even the silverware was pristine, gleaming brightly under the light of hundreds of candles lit up throughout the room. It looked like something from a magazine set. He’d even taken it upon himself to arrange the flowers into the shape of hearts and stars as well as his personal favorite - two rosebuds. That seemed appropriate to him, somehow. He smiled at this small victory before he turned back towards the kitchen entrance.“Morgan. How are things going here?” he called out in his most cheery tone as he approached the kitchen doors. Morgan, the head chef for all the kitchen staff, didn’t need to turn away from the oven to answer her boss. She was wearin
Chapter: 56.******The Weretiger began to tremble again, snuggling deeper into his arms with a barely audible gasp. Cooing softly, Conri brought the blankets up around himself and his lover, taking a moment to caress Caleb's cheek before wrapping his arm around the other again. Within minutes, he realized the trembling wasn't from the cold, Caleb's growing whimpers and protests telling him so. The weretiger had woken up many times, barely got an hour's sleep before jerking awake from nightmares. So again, Conri ran his hands down the Weretiger's back, shushing him, trying to keep him asleep. This time, his lover fell quiet, untensing and resuming his snuggling, a faint smile gracing his lips again. Conri too began to smile, but it faded as the restlessness of his lover began to settle within his heart. He wondered why he wasn't sleeping as soundly as he had done the night of his Rut. Did he perhaps cause it with his absence the entire day? Each time he would jerk awake, he would cur
Chapter: 55.******Caleb woke up feeling slightly better than he did the day before. He stretched slowly, wincing from the sharp pain he felt below his stomach. He hissed and sat up, looking around the room and a frown marred his face when he realized he was alone again. He looked toward the side of the bed where Conri should have slept and frowned when he noticed how undisturbed the sheets looked. He didn't need anyone to tell him that Conri did not come home last night. Or maybe he did and picked a different room. Reynold had fooled him with the whole Erasthai thing. Feeding his head with dreams of hopelessness. Conri would never make him his Greatest Desire. He had only slept with him because of his Rut, nothing more. And whatever they had done during, was all done in the waves of his Rut. He didn't even come home. Was he repulsed by the thoughts of having sex with him that he would abandon his own bed? Or did he sleep in the arms of another? No! Caleb shook his head as if trying
Chapter: 54.******Documents were placed carefully on the desk for him by Barbara while he signed, and flipped them shut then passed them over to Clyde and proceeded to sign the next. There was an assortment of documents from his fathers estate as well as some from various business associates that he needed to deal with. He hadn't planned to spend his entire day signing documents and drinking firewhisky. He needed to get out of there and stretch his limbs, but knowing he had been away from his duties for quite some time, he must tend to the documents now, or else they kept piling up even more. And he would be a poor leader for all if he couldn't even deal with these small annoyances. The sun was beginning its descent toward the horizon, he could feel its warm yellow glow through his office window, and his eyes ached in protest. His body aches, too. He hadn't slept well in weeks and hadn't taken care of himself since he went into Deep Sleep. That is, after all, when things became rath
