CELINE’s POV

“Wife–”

“Stop calling me that.” I strongly cut off what he said. “Have you forgotten how happy I made you when I signed the divorce papers?”

Something pierced my heart after I mentioned that and remembered that day.

“And that day was the most stupid thing I’ve done.”

I almost laughed at what Lance said. I had no idea that Lance had such a knack for making people laugh.

A radiant smile adorned his face on the day I vanished from his life, making it all the more perplexing for him to claim it as the dumbest decision he had ever made.

“Celine...”

Lance quickly grabbed my hand. At this velocity, I was unable to promptly create space between myself and him.

I planned to release Lance’s grip on my hands, but he tightened his grip on me. The level of tightness was such that my hands wouldn’t hurt, but it prevented me from being able to withdraw my hands.

“No words can explain the way I’m missing you.”

Lance suddenly pulled my hand and my body came close to him and he quickly
