CALL ON MR. LOGAN

ETHAN'S POV

”What?” I screamed, as soon as I read through the documents right in front of me. What I do not understand was why and how it got to this level. Without hasting, I reached out to the office telephone on my desk and called on to my secretary, “Get into my office right now!” I ordered with anger boiling inside of me. 

If I were to be in an anime world, i would have flames evaporating out of my head, ears and nostril. Jezzz... It was really too much to swallow.

“Okay si...” I hanged up before she could complete her response. 

What will mum do if she gets to notice this? Oh, no! This is not good! She won't take this at all.

Everly, my secretary stormed into my office and faced down. She stood just at the middle of my office. In a way, it seems she knows already why i called her in.

“Sir, you called me!” she mentioned without daring to rise her head up. Her lips are half way buried in her back scarf, that she tied around her neck. Maybe she knew, where she wronged me. She looks scared.

“What is this nonsense, Everly? Can you give me a better explain to this before I ruin you?” I barked before flinging the file at her and it all landed on the floor. The documents in the file slipped out and scattered a bit near her. She almost jumped when the file hit hard on the floor. 

I sent her a dead stare when our eyes got in contact. And hurriedly she picked them up and began to review one after the other. 

“Sorry sir! I meant, Mr. Ethan, no, i'm sorry, Mr. Logan have still not paid the loan you borrowed him.” Everly stammered between words and it got me irritated the more. 

“Everly, you better talk properly! Tell me why the loan increased.” I shouted at her and she nodded like a lizard. 

She then took a deep breathe and turned her stare back at me, “Act.... Ahem!” She cleared her throat before continuing, “Actually, of recent, he came for another loan and swore that you knew about it. He also called you right in front of me so, I gave him a cheque. I swear, I didn't know it... ” I interrupted.

Damn that man! I asked him to meet my secretary for a loan and he took that as his business to run me down. If not because he is a friend to my late dad, I would never have taken such uncivilized act from him. He should be jailed for fraud. The money in total can be used to buy a city.

“And you let him have it without my confirmation? How dare you? You are such a dummy! An empty brainless idiot.” I yelled so loud that out of fear, she let the file fall off and I stared at her with more rage. 

What kind of being is this and how did I let her become my secretary? 

Damn it! 

“Sir, I thought...” I interrupted again. Getting irritated the more i stare at her.

“You thought what? You know what? Get lost from here before I make you play the loans.” I uttered angrily while trying so hard to suppress my annoyance. 

Everly wanted to say something but her mouth got glued the moment I turned to look at her.

Being he quickly, dashed out of the office like a scared baby whose ice cream was dragged from. Yeah, she lost her job, so she should bit that and get the hell out of my company. I do not let fools work for me. 

The problem I had was how to explain the current situation to mum. Damn it! 

Elisa opened the door a little and let her head alone be visible. She dyed her hair green now! She looked awful but I dared not to say a word else, I would get a cry baby. 

“It won't be so bad if you knock first!” I said as calm as my voice could. 

“Hey bro!” Elisa walked right into the office, smiling at what I just said. 

What does she want this time? 

“What?” I responded with a question. 

She raised her brows and shook her head, “Wow bro, cool down! I saw Everly in tears walking out of your office and with your response right now, I need no proof to show you are the cause of that.” Elisa stated and I rolled my eyes. 

Like seriously? 

“Alex, tell me, was that the reason you barged into my office?” I asked. 

Her attitude is so unbearable. If not for the fact she is my sister, I would not haste to send her out, immediately. I have alot to do and need no distractions. 

“Hey, better cool it bro. Do not lash out your anger on me. I am not your enemy here!” Elisa replied, still not making any sense at all. 

Oh lord, why? 

“Are you going to be realistic and tell me the reason you are here or you do walk out the door. For heaven's sake, Elisa, I really do not need your distraction, right now!” I uttered with a serious stare. I tries to now over the fact she was present and focus on what I do best, work! 

She rolled her eyes, sighed and walked down to my desk, with her heels making her presence known, as it created annoying sounds that disgust me alot. 

She sat on the seat opposite my direction and crossed her legs. 

What the fuck, Elisa? 

“What do you want?” I did not bother to look at her; she was a distraction. 

“I need $50,000!” She requested and I looked up at her.

I had expected it! She only comes here to request for money when she gets broke. All she knows how to do is go shopping and spend on chunk foods. 

“Is that all?” I asked, like she had anything else to say or offer. 

She separated her crossed legs and placed her hand on my table. Even after knowing how much i hate it. 

“Emmm, yeah, there is something else!” I diverted my stare again at her. That's new, I thought to myself and dropped the pen I held, so as to pay total attention to what she had to say. Her face looked serious! She cleared her throat, “Ahem! Well, it is about Levi! He was arrested this morning. He was seen driving while smashed and some drugs were found in his car as well.” Elisa confessed and I frowned. 

I really do not believe that boy! All he does in school is follow bad boys and get into trouble. My siblings are really a pain in the ass and are spoilt braits, mum is to be blamed in a way. She treated them like babies and provided everything they requested.

“Okay! I will transfer the required money needed to sort everything in your account. While leaving, meet up with the accountant and ask him to do the needful.” I uttered and faced back at my work. 

She stood up almost immediately and ran to me; she hugged me so tight from behind and kissed my right cheeks. 

“Thank you so much bro! That is why you remain my favorite, though you are quite annoying to hang around with.” Elisa stated before she picked up her fancy diamond purse she left on my desk and hurried out of the office. 

“Females! All they know how to do is request for money.” I muttered and picked up the telephone, “Hello, Parker, ensure you see to Elisa's needs.” I dropped the call and dialed another, “Mr. Joel, see that Miss Everly leaves the company as soon as possible. Print out what is needed and get me a new secretary in the next 24 hours.” I ended the call, and dialed another again, “Noami, I want you to call on Mr. Logan Anthony and instruct him to meet me at my hotel by 8pm, tonight! Have i make it clear enough?” I asked. 

“Yes sir!” Noami, my assistant secretary replies and I hanged up. 

Mr. Logan should never dare to mess with me in terms of the company. How dare he owe the company so much and has no remorse. He was the worst kind of man, who was born being cunny.
