CHAPTER – 32

Olivia pov

It’s 10 pm, and I’m lounging on the sofa, waiting for the one person I can’t stand. I never thought I’d find myself in this situation, but here I am. I let out a sigh and took a deep breath, closing my eyes and resting my head back. It’s been a while since I got home from shopping with Sofia, and I haven’t eaten anything yet.

I’m just waiting for David to show up so we can have dinner together. It’s getting late, and he must be starving. Don’t get me wrong; I’m only doing this to thank him for ordering food for me. No one else cares for me like he does, and that’s enough to make me feel a bit overwhelmed. So, it’s just a thank-you dinner. After about 15 minutes, the doorbell rings, and I frown, quickly rushing to open the door. There’s David, looking pretty worn out.

“You didn’t sleep?” he asks. I just shake my head and step aside to let him in. He drops his bag on the sofa and flops down, loosening his tie and taking a deep breath. I can see him relax a bit. I hurry to
