Olivia pov
The vibrant lights, booming music, and the wild crowd at the club are just not my scene. I let out a sigh as I step outside, realising it's already 10 pm and I'm still stuck here. I didn't even want to come to this club, but my friend forced me to attend her birthday party without mentioning it would turn into a stripper party. Now I'm trapped here with no way to get home and no cabs available in my area. To top it off, my so-called friends are ignoring me, leaving me stranded. I glance at my phone in the silence, realising I have no other choice. I dial a number and hold the phone to my ear as the person on the other end answers, "Hello, who is this?" I roll my eyes and reply, "Cut the act, you already know it's me." He chuckles , "Why did you call me, Olivia? Did you do something bad?" Hearing him I scoff, "I'm not you brother who always gets into trouble and makes our dad angry. " He pauses for a moment before growing, "Listen, please come and pick me up. I'm sending you my location." I said He hesitates and replied, "Aren't you at your friend's birthday party?" "Yes, but you know how much I hate the club. So, please come and get me." He hesitates again, frustrating me even more. "Sorry, sis, I can't come. I'm hanging out at my friend's house," he says, making me furious. "James, are you kidding me?" I shout into the phone, but he just laughs. "Don't worry, send me your location, and I'll send David there," he suggests, causing panic to rise within me. "No, don't you dare send him. I'll find my own way," I start to say, but he hangs up before I can finish my sentence. I close my eyes in frustration, the thought of him sending David to pick me up driving me insane. Fuck it . I mutter under my breath as I already sent my live location. Suddenly, someone taps my shoulder, causing me to turn around. "Hey Ava, what are you doing here?" I ask, slightly surprised. She smiles at me and says, "Come on, let's dance. It's my birthday." She pulls me into the club, and I gasp at the sudden action. The loud music echoes in my ears, and I take a deep breath, only to smell alcohol in the air. As I slowly start to dance, 15 minutes pass and still no one else is here. It's not necessarily bad, but it's not great either. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a boy approaches me. "Hey beautiful, let's dance," he says, making me frown. As we begin to dance, he starts getting too close and trying to touch me inappropriately. I'm about to say something when a voice interrupts us. "Are you guys done?" a deep voice comes from behind me. I turn around and see the last person I want to see in my entire life: David Dawson, my brother's best friend. His face is bruised, and the red light in the club makes him look even more handsome, like a Greek god. I hate the power he holds over me. I just hate him. I stop dancing as he approaches me "I hope you're not waiting for me to grab your hand and make you sit in the car” he said when I didn't move. He sounded as happy as I was about the situation. What a soft man. "No god give me legs I use it just like you use your mouth " I said with a smile before getting out leaving him all alone he just follow me quietly I pressed my lips together and bit back a sarcastic reply as I roused myself from the bench and ducked into the car. It smelled cool and expensive, like spicy cologne and fine Italian leather. He was sitting in the car while I looked down, and then he started the engine. We left the club together. David and I haven't met each other much, only twice before this. I hope this is the last time. I still remember the first time I saw him at my house by accident. I spilled coffee on his white shirt, and he yelled at me, showing his rude attitude. That's when this man started getting on my nerves. The second time, I saw him again at my house, discussing something with James. But this time, I ignored him. As a psychiatrist I'm used to facing enough crap, but when it comes to David, it's hard to know what's going on in his big mind. I looked at his veiny hands as he turned to stare at me. I gulped nervously. David Dawson is one of the top CEOs in New York, or you could say he's a rich monster dressed in an angel suit. I hate him, not because I want to, but because his attitude always shows me what a jerk and arrogant man he can be. I'm always shocked by how he's my brother's best friend. Lost in my thoughts, I was startled by his cold voice rushing through my spine, "Wear your seat belt," he said, making me obediently follow his words like a lost puppy. We hardly talk when we meet, and when we do, it's always filled with sarcasm and a cold tone. Well, at least he looks at me the same way I look at him, and that's a good thing. He's the last person I want to see if I'm in any trouble. But here we are, driving together in his sleek black car, heading to who knows where. I can feel the tension between us, the unspoken words hanging heavy in the air. I can't help but wonder what he's thinking, what he's planning. Is he just being his usual arrogant self, or is there something more beneath that cold exterior? As we drive in silence, I can't help but steal glances at him. His jaw clenched, his eyes focused on the road ahead. He's handsome, there's no denying that. But his beauty is overshadowed by his toxic personality. I can't understand how my brother can be friends with someone like him. I try to push away my thoughts and focus on the passing scenery outside the window. But David's presence is like a dark cloud hanging over me, casting a shadow on everything. I can't wait to get out of this car, away from him. Finally, we arrive at our destination. David parks the car and turns to me, his expression unreadable. "Thanks for the ride," I mutter, opening the door to escape his suffocating presence. He nods, his gaze lingering on me for a moment before he speaks. " Next time tell your brother not to disturb me I am not a driver” he said looking straight at my soul “ Well stop obeying my brother like a driver” I said, not breaking eye contact, his hand tightening on the steering wheel showing his sonfine veins. I quickly get out of the car and walk away, feeling relieved to be free from his presence. But deep down, I know that this won't be the last time I see David Dawson.Olivia povThe rich aroma enveloped me as I shut my eyes, trying to ignore the headache. The elegant paintings on the walls and the beautiful furniture made my house feel more like a museum than a home. Such a luxurious vibe, right? Or should I say, a pretentious one? I picked up my soup spoon and glanced at my father, dressed in a white shirt and a dark black coat, looking like a guard in this scorching hot weather. It's just psycho behaviour. I took a sip of my soup and it truly sucks. I glanced at James, who had the same expression as me. "Olivia, grab your spoon properly," my dad said, making me secretly roll my eyes. "How's your job going?" my mom asked, making me smile. "Good, I really enjoy it," lie. The job sucks more than this soup. "Well, do you have a boyfriend or something?" my dad asked, and upon hearing him, I sighed. Here we go again. Sorry to say, but my dad is obsessed with money and will do anything for show. He just wants me to find the richest boyfriend so he ca
David pov“Mr. David, I just got a call from Mr. Williams' assistant, he is coming back in a month.” My assistant Kain informed me on the updates. "Stay in contact with him until we crack the deal, all right." I ordered him as he nodded."Also Mr. David, you have a few meetings in your schedule today. Would you like me to inform you?" He questioned making me frown my brows. "No, not today I have something more important to do. Cancel all my meetings and postpone them until tomorrow." I said at which he nodded.“Also, get me the info on Andrew Donovan. Get in the depth and find anything you can from the finest details.” He looked confused and wanted to ask about it but he didn't have enough courage to do so. Well his confusion isn't wrong either, I have never postponed or cancelled my meetings maybe once or twice. But most of the time I prefer to keep myself busy at work. Anyways it's better than going to parties and kissing others asses for favour. That's the reason I am now one of
Olivia pov “Your father told me to bring you home immediately,” my driver said, making me roll my eyes in frustration. This is the second time he has sent a driver to my office. First, when we have to go to some of the richest parties, he sends a driver to pick me up. knowing very well that I am at work. And now here, he sends him again when I am busy with my client.“ Tell him I am busy” I said, making the driver look at me."Donovan, sir, said it's urgent, and he does not want to listen to any excuse,“ he said nervously, making my brow frown. Ah, I can't even shout at him, he is just doing his duty. I sigh, knowing what he will do if I don't come, so I quietly sit in the car as the driver starts the car.Soon we will reach it. I am really boiling in anger. I have to tell him he can't send a driver whenever he wants to. I can't hold my clients. This only makes my reputation as a psychiatrist go down. The car stops making me get out of the car. As I slam the car door in anger, I am g
Olivia pov"Yeah, it's true. I fixed your marriage," my dad said, causing my entire body to freeze in an instant. We're all at home, we leave the party early, because I don't want to create a scene in front of everyone."You can't control my life," I retorted, making him look at me while my mom approached."Sweetie, he's doing this for your own good. You're already 26 years old," my mom said, touching my hand, but I jerked it away. That's what she always does, always supporting dad no matter what. But not this time. I won't let this slide."Dad, this is not a joke. He's my friend," James said angrily, making me scoff."So what? He's rich, and that's enough for me to arrange her marriage," my dad said, causing my throat to go dry and my eyes to turn red. The thought of my dad going to such lengths really hurts.Watching him grow older, I knew this day would come, but I can't believe it's happening so soon. And with whom that cold ass David. That rude brat who only knows how to hurt oth
David pov“Sir do you need anything” my house maid said, making me shake my head.“Not now leave and don't let anyone come inside my room” I said in a serious tone as I removed my watch and put it in the drawer. I release a shaky breath before throwing my head back. I closed my eyes. I never doubted my decision ever in my life , but marrying Olivia for a deal really made me want to think twice. Suddenly the door wide open revealing Amelia.I roll my eyes this fucking maid can't do one job properly. Seeing me she came inside and locked the door. She looks nervous but that's what she actually has to feel right now.“ Why don't you pick up my calls” she said, making me frown my eyes. “ Isn't it obvious I don't want to talk to you?” I said making him sigh.“ I don't know why it's taking so much time just to cut his throat,” she said in frustration, making me scoff.“ Because if I did what you said. The next day your throat would hang in front of our house” I said, making her grab her ha
Olivia povI was peacefully sleeping when the sun rays woke me up with a yelp of irritation. Slowly opening my eyes, I sat up on the bed and grabbed my head. Damn, my head is hurting. I reached for my phone to check the time and my eyes widened. It's 9 am already, and breakfast is waiting downstairs. If I'm late, Dad will start his lecture again.I fastly got up and went straight to the washroom. I freshen myself before going downstairs. “ Good morning” I say hesitantly, seeing all of them sitting waiting for me. Hearing me dad look at me.“What's wrong with you, should I have to remind you to always come on time? '' he said angrily, making me look down as mom shook her head in disappointment. I slowly sit beside James. He looks normal. I mean he doesn't look angry. I shake all my thoughts away. I take some bread and some scramble eggs and start eating my breakfast.“ Stop behaving like an irresponsible kid, your marriage is fixed so behave mature” dad said making me frown my eyes a
David pov “ I guess six months are enough to remove all the photos and prove.” my lawyer Charlie said. He has been my lawyer for a long time. He handles all my legal or illegal stuff. That's why I can trust him. “ More than enough, so in today's dinner party I tell Andrew that Olivia and I are going to marry after six months” I said, making him nooded.“ But I don't think it's necessary to get engaged this soon,” he asked, making me sigh. He doesn't know Andrew but I do. If I told him the actual wedding date, he would freak out. So to distract him, I fixed our engagement a little soon. “ A person like you never loved someone”. Suddenly from nowhere, Olivia's words hit me. My jaw tightened in anger , this girl is really getting hard to control. After she left, I couldn't think straight. Her words , her voice, her presence and that fucking perfume with a deep, creamy sweetness with warm undertones of amber, along with leather and wood. Making my dick hard by just inhaling that seduc
Olivia pov “Girl you look too hot Alex may die after seeing you” Sofia said in a teasing tone making me roll my eyes. This girl really knows how to tease me. I turn my attention towards the mirror, the black dress really hugging my curves well.“ btw when you guys confess your feelings to each other” Sofia said. Making me sigh, this girl. Hearing her I sat on the sofa.“ Sofia I don't love Alex, it's just a little crush I have on him.” I said. She nodded as she fixed her hair. Alex and I have been friends since school. I have a slight crush on him, and I think he might feel the same. However, we never confess our feelings to each other. We never will, especially now when my marriage is fixed.“ Are you really agreeing with that marriage?” she asked, looking straight at me. Making me take a deep breath.“ Look at me, do you think I have some choice?” I said. Only to get a chuckle from her. “ Well David is also not bad, he is hot,” Sofia said. I look at her with a disgusted face. Tha
David pov Andrew shouted, "What are you doing?" just as I landed a solid punch to his face. The impact reverberated through the room, and he crashed onto the table, fear washing over him like a tidal wave. I wasn’t about to let him off the hook easily, not with my girl lying in a hospital bed, barely clinging to life. The image of her pale face haunted me, fueling my rage. I yanked his collar, glaring into his eyes, which were wide with a mix of shock and terror. "I warned you, didn’t I? I told you not to cross the line, especially not with her."The words dripped with venom as I followed up with another punch, this time to his nose. Blood spilled out, painting a stark contrast against his pale skin. The metallic scent filled the air, mingling with the adrenaline coursing through my veins. Thankfully, it was just the two of us in the house; if anyone else had been around, I wouldn’t have cared. I was beyond reason, driven by a primal instinct to protect what was mine.He gasped, "Wha
Olivia pov I gradually open my eyes, feeling a sharp pain in my right hand. As I turn to my side, I notice the nurse is busy filling up a glucose bag. A sleepy moan escapes my lips when I realise David isn’t here. Where could he be? Ugh, he must be crammed into that tiny bed. I let out a sigh and asked the nurse, "When can I go home?" She looks at me and replies with a smile, "Today," before heading out. Great, now I’m stuck here alone. I really need to hit the bathroom. Taking a deep breath, I push myself up. Guess it’s time for a solo trip to the washroom. I grab the nearest lamp that’s sitting by the machines and use all my strength to move. They’ve had me in this cold water for way too long, and I feel like I’m starving. No wonder my legs, hands, and pretty much my whole body feel so numb that I can barely walk. Where’s David? I glance at the door again, but it’s still empty. With another deep breath, I take a step forward, then another, letting out little screams with each ste
Olivia pov I can feel the chill against my skin, my eyes are shut tight, and I’m lying on the bed. I’m not sure where I am, but I guess it’s a hospital since I can hear the machines beeping around me. Slowly, I crack my eyes open and find myself staring at a spinning fan right above me. As I turn my head, I notice needles stuck in my hand, and I’m dressed in a hospital gown. My heart sinks. I try to push myself up but end up collapsing back down. “What are you doing?” a voice calls out. I glance to my side and see David sitting on the couch. He stands up when he sees me, and he looks so different—his eyes are tired, his face is dull, and he seems completely drained, like he’s just existing without really living. With all my strength, I manage to sit up, and he watches me from a distance. Our eyes meet, and we don’t say a word; we just silently communicate how empty we feel without each other. “I love you,” the words slip out before I can stop them. He looks at me, confused. “F
David pov "Take that outside," I said, frowning. "But it's just a wallet." He shook his head at me. "Drop it outside," he replied in a cold tone, making me comply. Rhys had trained his bodyguard well. I set my wallet aside as the guard started checking me again. I waited patiently, eager to get this over with because Olivia's parents and her brother, who is also my childhood friend, had no idea she was missing. It’s not that I don’t want them to know; I’m just too swamped with their so-called drama. That’s why I asked my mom to fill them in, so Andrew could get a sense of what’s going on. Trust me, if anything happens to Olivia, I’m going to take that bastard down hard. "All done," the guard said, leading me to Rhys's office. I walked slowly, taking in the mansion—it was a bit bigger than mine. I was pretty sure there was a basement where they were keeping Olivia. The blue walls with grey shades gave off a really dull vibe. How long do I have to match his slow pace? How long until
Olivia pov The icy water hit me, jolting me awake as I gasped for air, my eyes snapping open to nothing but darkness. Panic surged through me as the memory of what happened flooded back— Fuckk, I’ve been kidnapped. My head throbbed painfully, and my body felt completely numb from the cold water soaking me. I was tied to a wooden chair that reeked of something dead—let’s just say it's an animal, because thinking otherwise would freak me out even more. My mind raced with questions, but no answers came. I could hear faint laughter in the background, and just as I felt myself slipping away again, the lights flickered on, revealing the grim reality of my situation. It took a moment for my eyes to adjust, and I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself. I was in a basement—dimly lit, with a bloody smell and an overall horror vibe, the kind of place where people get tortured or worse. And now it seemed like it was my turn. I spotted three muscular goons who had barged into my house. “L
David pov The sound of my kick echoed through the room as I smashed the door open, sending it crashing onto the marble floor. "Where the hell were you guys when all this went down?" I yelled, my voice booming enough to make my bodyguards flinch. The chaos that greeted me in my own home was a sight I never wanted to see. And Olivia fuckkkkkkk.Furniture was overturned, shattered glass littered the floor, and the air was thick with the stench of fear and desperation. My heart raced as I thought of Olivia—was she safe? The thought of her being with Ryan's crew sent a wave of nausea through me."Sir, we weren't here when it happened. Only four of our guys were, and they're already dead," one of my bodyguards replied, his voice trembling slightly. I could see the fear in his eyes, and it only fueled my anger. I slammed my fist on the nearest table in frustration, the wood splintering under the force of my blow. That’s when I noticed it—a dark, dried stain of blood on the floor that sent
David pov Today has been such a long day. I let out a big yawn as I shut my laptop; it’s already 10 PM, and the office closed an hour ago. Yet, here I am, still stuck in my cubicle working on upcoming projects. James was right; I really need to let others handle their tasks instead of taking everything on myself. Not that my own problems are any less. I glance at my watch again—has Olivia already fallen asleep, or is she waiting for me? Time to head home, I mumble to myself as I stand up. Just as I’m about to leave, my phone rings. I pick it up and see it’s one of my bodyguards. Great, what now? I answer, and he says, “Sir, Amelia is leaving.” I’m instantly confused. “What?” I ask firmly, but he goes silent. “Answer me, damn it!” I shout. Finally, he responds, “Sir, Amelia is sneaking out of the house with all her luggage and some guy.” My confusion turns to shock. This girl… “Where are they?” I demand, anger and fear bubbling up inside me. I know it’s Zayden. “Sir, they’re leavi
Olivia pov I'm at the sink with this plate, the tenth one to wash. It's not even dirty; I'm just going over all the clean ones again to avoid any disasters. "Ugh, damn it!" I yell as I slam the plate down, shattering it into pieces. "Calm down, Olvia, just breathe," I tell myself, but how can I? He did it again! How does he always manage to disappear after we’ve spent hours together? I plop down in the nearest chair, trying to shake it off, but it’s no use. This morning, I wake up and David is nowhere to be found. All I got was a text saying he had to leave for some urgent work. I remember how hard I slammed my phone on the table after reading that. I know I shouldn’t be this upset, but I am. I want him there when I wake up, wrapped in his arms as I open my eyes. Instead, I’m left with an empty bed. I don’t know why I keep expecting more from him. He’s never said he loves me or even cares; it’s just me hoping that maybe this marriage could work. But guess what? I sigh, realising I
David pov The lights were bright, making it hard for me to focus. "So, should we start working on the project?" one of the Group 1 employees asked, prompting a sigh from me as I tried to process his presentation. The fluorescent lights overhead buzzed, casting a harsh glare on the glossy presentation slides that flickered on the screen. I rubbed my temples, feeling the weight of the day pressing down on me. "Alright, go ahead with that project, but make sure to get a top celebrity to promote it," I replied, standing up to leave the meeting room. The thought of celebrity endorsements always seemed to add a layer of excitement, but it also meant more pressure. "Sir, what about Group 2? They still have pending projects," my secretary reminded me, causing me to pause and turn back. Her voice was steady, but I could sense the underlying urgency. "Give them a week. If they can't finish their pending projects by then, that's on them," I said as I walked into my office, the door clicking s
