Chapter 46

Her grandmother use to always say you love who you love. She finally understood what she meant by that. Even though her love had been for her husband now it had fully blossomed and turned into something better with Nick. 

Dinner had been uneventful and she kept having to turn down drinks from her husband’s business associates, even though she had told them she was pregnant. She of course reminded him as politely as possible each time. By the 4th time she decided to excuse herself to the ladies room. There, she sat down in a stall and got a grip on her bearings and composure. She was suddenly exhausted. She knew with each passing day she would get more and more tired. She thought it funny she hadn't felt this way when she was in Nick’s presence. She had felt confident, happy and energetic. She took a deep breath, stood up and walked back out of the ladies room.
