CHAPTER 105: ALL OF HIM

NATASHA

I was at a loss for words.

When I confronted Michael, I had anticipated a defense, but I was mistaken. His directness left me speechless.

"It's good that you decided to move back here," Thalia announced as we sat at the table. Her face was relaxed, her wrinkled hands clasped above the table, a smile gracing her lips.

"It was my choice," Michael responded, setting his knife and fork aside as Doris served lunch.

Only four of us gathered at the table. The twins had received an emergency call from their parents. Their New York branch had caught fire, and the investigation suggested it was intentional.

As for Aaron, he mentioned that he had a meeting and left as quickly as lightning.

"Oh, and what about Natasha? Is everything okay?" I heard Thalia ask. I nodded immediately.

"Yes, ma'am. I'm okay with it," I replied, reaching for my utensils. Before I could serve myself, Michael began piling food onto my plate as if it were my last supper.
