Kimi and Kam’s birthday passed without much fuss because they wanted to celebrate on Rose’s birthday. It didn’t stop me from giving Kimi a necklace that looked like a model of a white hole in glass. She appeared to love it, and has worn it almost every day since her birthday.
Kimi and Kam wanted to surprise Rose by taking her to Izzy’s tattoo parlor to get tattoos. Kimi decided she didn’t want to risk getting an infection while pregnant, so I arranged for her to get a henna tattoo to tide her over until after the baby’s born. Since I really liked the idea of getting something to always remind me of Kimi, and her me, we each created a small design for the other to wear. Kam had already given Izzy his design for the tattoos he wanted for himself and Rose.
