Bk 3, Ch 32: Kimia

I tapped my pencil on the table in the library’s study room that I reserved for my tutoring sessions, and checked the time. Again. My student was late. I shouldn’t care, because I charge for my time no matter what, and I get my students through the university tutoring center so they track my appointments and make sure I get paid. Still, it was annoying to be stuck here waiting for someone who was struggling with basic math when I could be spending the night with my friends.

“Sorry I’m,” a voice called as a girl entered the room, “late.”

I looked up and saw Bethany, Rina’s roommate, staring at me in shock. “Hello, Bethany. Nice of you to make it to your tutoring session. You’re taking basic math, right?” I asked, getting down to business.
