Sonnet looked at him with a half-smile and said, “Let me think about it again. I’ll give you an answer in a few days.”

“Do you still need to think about it? I’ve already explained the misunderstanding between us before! I’ve never been with any other women. It was all Zachary’s doing! I’ve only had eyes for you.”

“Tomorrow night. I’ll give you my answer tomorrow night,” Sonnet responded.

She was sure that she had developed quite a lot of feelings for Johnson, and her current feelings for him were more than just friendship, but not quite at the level of being in a relationship.

So, she wanted to go back and listen to her father and Lindy’s advice.

"Okay, I’ll wait for you. I’ll always wait for you,” said Maxwell, delighted.

He had been dying to get close to his dear wife and kiss her, and he could not care less about Johnson or Maxwell now. As long as he could hold her hand openly and honestly, that was all that mattered. He would deal with the rest later!
