Sonnet’s heart tightened. She held his face, asking, “What’s wrong, Maxwell?”

Maxwell did not answer. Instead, he gasped for air.

“Maxwell?” Sonnet called out softly.

Maxwell finally lifted his eyes to stare at her blankly.

“Maxwell, do you feel unwell… Ugh!”

Before Sonnet could finish, Maxwell pounced on her and pressed her against the wet tiles of the bathroom.

Maxwell was feeling dizzy. Suddenly, he tasted something salty on his lips.

He was taken aback when he suddenly realized what it was. He stopped and looked at the woman whom he had trapped in his arms.

Her face was wet with tears. She looked devastated.

At that moment, Maxwell felt like he was stabbed in the heart. It was excruciating.

Maxwell slowly came back to his senses.

What did he do? He was about to force the woman he loved and almost hurt her!

He pulled his arms away as if electrocuted. “Go. Go now!”
