Chapter 263

It was completely dark out now, and the wind suddenly picked up. The wind was so strong that it sent the leaves flying everywhere. Sonnet could barely open her eyes.

She pulled her coat closer and moved forward with difficulty until she finally reached the subway station nearby.

She took the train to the closest stop to Westfield Hospital. When she emerged from the station, she suddenly saw that it was drizzling.

Since Westfield Hospital was only two bus stops away, it made no sense to hail a cab there. She decided to walk to the hospital instead.

As she was walking there halfway, though, the wind suddenly blew into a gale and the rain became heavier.

Sonnet ran to Westfield Hospital. By the time she arrived, most of her coat and her hair were drenched.

Maxwell could barely bear to see her like that.

He hastily took off her coat for her and wiped her hair with a towel.

Mrs. Wilson watched coldly as her Young Master carefully dried Sonnet's hair, feeling far from pleased.
