When Sonnet arrived home, Maxwell rushed out and embraced her at once. “Wifey, you’re finally back. I missed you so much!”

He was tall and sturdy, and had a broad chest as well. Sonnet found herself being wrapped in his arms. She felt rather comfortable there.

However, after a while, she pushed him away and said, “I’m sorry for only coming back after a few days.”

“It’s alright. It’s alright. Dad is sick. You should stay there to look after him.” Maxwell waved his hands at once. “Is Dad feeling better now?”

Sonnet raised her brow. She was stunned the moment Maxwell addressed her father as “dad”.

They were a legally wedded couple now. It was right for him to call Myles his dad.

However, she still felt a little uncomfortable about it.

“You must be extremely tired. I’ll fill up the bathtub for you. You can take a good, long bath!” Maxwell said while turning around to head upstairs.

Sonnet looked at how happy he seemed to be and felt guilty when she thought about how uncomfo
