“Wifey, you’re injured!” Maxwell walked over and held Sonnet’s calf.

Sonnet felt slightly embarrassed when she saw the serious expression on his face.

She moved her leg out of Maxwell’s hands and said nonchalantly, “Oh, it’s just a small scratch. I’m alright.”

“Take the medical box over!” Maxwell shouted and ran out of the room.

A pained expression appeared on his face the moment he left the room.

After getting the medical box, he helped to sanitize Sonnet’s wound. He asked her, “Wifey, how did you hurt yourself?”

“I hurt myself by the side of the road. I wasn’t careful. It’s alright,” Sonnet said with a smile on her face.

However, a dark figure flashed across her memory as she spoke to him. It was the tall figure that had pushed her onto the road!

Did that person do it intentionally or had it purely been an accident?

If it had purely been an accident, why did that person run away so quickly after pushing her?

If it had been intentional, who could it be?
