Hayden shrugged. “Looks like I’m not the person you were hoping to see!”

Maxwell frowned. “Why are you here?”

“Don’t worry, I checked the surveillance before coming here. She’s still in her father’s hospital ward and won’t be coming down anytime soon,” Hayden said, seeing through his thoughts with a smile.

“What’s up?”

“I wanted to talk to you about the bone marrow matching. So far, we haven’t found a match, and this is the bill.” Hayden handed Maxwell a piece of paper. “It’s been quite costly. Do you want to continue?”

Maxwell just glanced at the bill and said, “Continue it.”

Hayden hesitated.

“Spit it out!” Maxwell frowned and spoke to Hayden harshly.

“I’ll say it again, the best way is still to find the child’s biological father or relatives. If that doesn’t work, then we can try something else. The chances of bone marrow matching between strangers are small. You can’t delay the child’s treatment just because you don’t want to find that man,” Hayden said.
