Chapter 121

Maxwell went to the closet, and Sonnet quietly opened her eyes. She saw him wrapped in a white towel and opening the drawer to find his underwear.

Thinking Sonnet was asleep, he found his underwear and directly put it on after removing the towel.

Sonnet’s eyes widened, and then her face turned purple with embarrassment. She quickly closed her eyes again.

After a while, she felt Maxwell come to the side of the bed. Her heart was still racing. She dared not move, afraid he would notice she was pretending to sleep, which would be even more embarrassing.

He pulled the covers off her, and then put on a new blanket. Then, the bed sank down on his side, indicating he had gotten on the bed.

Sonnet could feel her head being lifted gently and placed back on his arm.

She did not want him to feel uncomfortable and pretended to turn over.

However, he stubbornly moved closer and positioned her head on his arm as a pillow.

Sonnet was considering whether to pretend to wake up or not when sudd
