Chapter 4 - First day of Classes

Henry POV

I am running late for my first class, I guess having a random one night stand wasn’t a good idea on a school night. Yeah she was hot and she took my mind away from the blue eyes that kept invading my mind. I had to hook up with this girl because I couldn’t keep the girl away from my mind, it was the first time a girl said no to me, I didn’t even get the chance to introduce myself that she turned me down.  I slide out of the bed grabbing my clothes that are scattered around the floor and I grab her knickers by mistake. I smile at myself taking a mental note about how sexy that girl is, what was her name again? I can’t remember, I put my t-shirt on and she hugs me from behind. Her hands going up and down my stomach and reaching for the button of my jeans.

“Are you sure you have to go?”, what’s her name asks me while she places kisses all around my back.

“Yeah, I’m late for class”, I say grabbing my leather jacket from the back of the chair. I turn around and give her a small kiss on the lips.

“Ill call you later”, I say having no intention of calling her back.

“You don’t have my number”, She shouts at the same time I close the door of her flat. I take a deep breath and pass my hands through my hair. I turn around the corner of the corridor to get into the lift and I bump into someone.

“Shit, sorry”, I say picking up the books on the floor. I look up to see the most beautiful blue eyes staring back at me.

“Hey”, I say, she looks me from head to toe and gives me a small hello. When the doors open I allow her to get in first and then I get inside standing next to her in the back of the lift.

What is it with lifts that makes everyone ten times more irresistible? She grabs her phone and starts fiddling with it while I keep my eyes locked on her. I can’t move them as I am afraid that if I blink she will disappear.

“Do I have something on my face?”, she asks without looking at me.

“No”, I let out after clearing my throat.

I look away from her and I can see that she’s finally looking at me, I turn around now facing her and she looks up at me, I press my body against her trapping her against the back of the lift as I press the stop button and collapse my lips on hers.

At first she doesn’t react but a few seconds later she wraps her arms around my neck giving in and kissing me back, I wrap my arms around her waist pulling her close to me as I bend a little more deepening the kiss. She tastes of coffee and toothpaste. Incredible mixture.

“Hello, is everything okay?”, I hear someone from the speaker and I break the kiss to find her adjusting her t-shirt and hair. I press the button and I answer saying that everything is okay pressing the stop button again making the lift move and instantly the door opens.

She leaves the lift fast almost running and I try to catch up to her but she stops me posting her finger to my nose.

“Stay the fuck away from me”, she shouts and I take one step back. I can’t help but to feel smug about kissing her again. But I k now not to press her buttons, she’s not like the other girls and my smugness won’t take me anywhere with her.

She starts walking and I keep following her, I speed up a little trying to catch up to her and I try to grab her hand, she pulls it away and stops looking me dead serious.

“I told you to stay away from me”, she barks at me and I can’t help but pull her close to me. She rests both her hands on my upper arms while I bend down and kiss her again. She tries to push me away but I don’t move.

“Tell me your name”, I whisper while I kiss her.

“Abbey”, she whispers back as I rest my forehead against hers. She looks up at me and I can see she is blushing.

“I’m Henry”, I say and she smiles. Fuck. I think I could get used to see that smile all day everyday.

I grab her hand I start walking her to the university building, we walk in silence just holding each other’s hand. I know my mates will take the piss of me holding a girls hand, but she is special, and I can always use the bet as an excuse. I will figure something out.

“Where to?” I ask Abbey as we stop at the entrance. She looks astonished. She looks at me and tells me where she needs to be, its on the other side of campus and she will be late if we don’t run. I pull her and start running to the opposite side. Abbey starts laughing as we run.

“Henry stop, I don’t run”, she says and I can’t help but stop and she bumps into me. We both laugh as she falls on her ass because she bumped into me and flew back.

I offer her my hand and she takes it, I tell her the place she needs to be is on the other side of campus and she needs to start leaving home early so she won’t be late is she’s walking everyday.

She smacks my arm as I peck her lips once we reach the classroom she has to get in.

I give her my phone so she can put her phone number in, she looks at me confused. And shakes her head walking into the room.

“Oh, game on Miss Abbey”, I think to myself as I walk away, my class is on the other side of campus and I am definitely late already, my dad is gonna have a blast giving me shit for arriving late on my first class. Great.
