Kyril's face heated up and turned red, which made me realize what I had done. "I-I'm sorry." I was about to back away, but Kyril placed both his hands on top of mine and stopped me.

"It's fine. I like being touched by you."

I was bewildered after hearing Kyril say that with his beet-red face. "If you're trying to remember me, then I'll be happy if you could." He said as he moved away. "I can't wait for that to happen."

Kyril went inside the classroom before me. What was that? What did he mean by that? Do I really know him?

"What happened to you, Lili?!"

Of course, Mavis was more than surprised after seeing my bruises. That was the first thing she said as soon as she got inside the Okami Complex. I was already glad that Miss Kyrary wasn't around when I arrived. Seeing Mavis and Ea looking at me with worry in their eyes makes me feel somewhat guilty.

"You can't go to the cafe looking like that," Ea said, which mad

Overthinking doesn't suit me, so I should stop. "What's taking Kyros so long?" The door opened, causing me to flinch due to surprise. I thought it was Kyros, but it's not."Kyril? Why are you here?"I was baffled after Kyril locked the door. What is going on? "I need to say something. Please don't think of it as harassment; I locked the door because Lizzy's—"We both heard loud knocks on the door— No, it's more like banging. "Hey! Open the door! How dare you get inside Lili's room without permission." I heard Kyros's voice."Javier! What the hell are you doing?!" I froze after hearing a girl's voice from outside.Javier?

My forehead creased after hearing Jade curse out loud like that. It seems like she's furious with Tiffany. But why? It's not my nature to eavesdrop on people, but I'm curious. "Huh? You're hilarious, Jade." Tiffany said as her expression changed. "You think you can say that to me? You're no better than me." Jade suddenly pulled Tiffany's collar, making me shocked, and I accidentally bumped into one of the shelves, causing them to notice my presence. It was too sudden, so I've decided to run away. I can't let them know that I was eavesdropping on them. It will create an unnecessary misunderstanding between the three of us. I should have at least

"L-Lili?"I turned to Vanessa and her grandmother. "W-Why did you help me?" She was baffled, and I understand that it was weird for someone you don't know to suddenly help you like that."I actually need to talk to you, but let's do it tomorrow." I smiled as I patted her shoulder. "Don't worry, I'm not your enemy," I told her that to at least try to reassure her, but I didn't know if it was the right thing to do. There's no use regretting it now.I went back to the streets towards the Okami Complex. Seeing Vanessa like that made me somewhat have a clue why she chose to study at the Ravenwood Academy instead of staying at Trinity University. If she was also bullied— this is only a what if. If that truly is the case, then those rich people a

Vanessa nodded, but why does that name sound so familiar? I let go of her hands as I hold onto my chin."You must be thinking about that famous model; her name is also Lia." That made me remember that model Mavis really loves. "Though I don't know if they're connected.""Tiffany hated that. That's why she started being mean to Jade too, but Jade doesn't care, causing Tiffany to lose interest." Vanessa took another deep breath. "That's when I got into Trinity University. I immediately caught Tiffany's attention because I got in due to the scholarship."Her hands were still trembling. "My days in that school felt like years. It's as if I was thrown into hell without anyone bothering to help me. Even the teachers were ignoring my situation because

"How will you do that? And why would you do that?"Jade turned to me. "Why? Because I hate Tiffany." She smiled and left me alone inside the storage room. After I had waited for 2 minutes, I went out after her and excused myself.I headed to the changing room, following Jade from behind. Angelica already said that Tiffany had left before us, which made me quite curious why she left so soon. Is it because she was avoiding me? I don't know."If I were you, I won't trust that girl too much."I looked in Jade's direction. "Why? Is it because of what she did to Vanessa?" Jade looked bewildered after hearing that name."How do

"How did you know about that—"I heard Kyril chuckle, which caused me to feel confused even more. "You never changed, Lili." He said. "You still want to keep everything to yourself. I thought I might not have a chance anymore because of that mutt, but that doesn't seem the case."His hand touched my palm as he moved closer to me. But wait, did he naturally call his younger brother a mutt? "You didn't say anything to that mutt," Kyril whispered. "I guess you can't trust him either."My instinct made me push Kyril away, and I touched my ear right after. I could still feel his warm breath, making me feel flustered. "Are you calling your brother a mutt?" That was the first thing that came out of my mouth even after Kyril did.

This girl, really! Why is she saying that to Mitch?"What are you talking about, Tiffany?" Mitch scratched the back of his head. "Does it look like that to you?"Instead of interrupting them, I stood behind the tree near the storage room and listened to their conversations while peeking.I saw how Tiffany nodded with a bright smile on her face. "Yes. It's annoying." She said those words with such a smile. How could she?Mitch was silent and couldn't say anything back. How would he even suppose to reply to what Tiffany said? It's not his problem that Tiffany finds him annoying. More like, she's the annoying one here. Why

Kyril was looking at me with his soft and gentle gaze again, causing me to back away from him. “Aren’t you going to stop? I won’t discuss this with you anymore. Take it seriously.” I don’t understand why I feel flustered whenever he’s looking at me like that. Can’t he stop?!Instead of stopping, Kyril chuckled once again. “Stop it.”“Okay, okay. I’ll stop now.”I sighed as I sat on the chair while Kyril pulled his chair closer to me. “What will we discuss today? Is there a new plan where you don’t have to get hurt?” He asked as he smiled at me again.&ldqu

“How do you feel?” I looked up to Jade after she asked me as I took my seat in the classroom. Everyone was looking at me with worried eyes. Even though I could not answer, Jade patted my head, trying to comfort me. Despite the fear and anxiety, I felt after opening that pink box yesterday, I feel awfully good today. Would it be surprising for them to see me doing better than all the other days? “I’m fine.” Being with Kyros must have had a good effect on me. “As expected, I shall praise your courage and strength, Lily of the valley.” Jade was immediately pulled away by Alexis after she said that. “I’m sorry... for her.” I didn’t understand why he had to apologize. It actually feels good to be praised for being courageous about something traumatizing. It wasn’t offensive to me, at all. Our morning class started, all my classmates were busy trying to please me and all, but there was something weird. I looked at Kyros, he was laughing with Dusty and the others.

Kyros placed both his hands on my shoulders. “Look at me.” He said. His tone was gentle; it was the first time I saw him acting like this. It wasn’t his usual puppy act. “I’m here.” When I looked at him, I felt my heart skip a beat. ‘This isn’t the time for this.’ I thought as I took a deep breath. “I-I know.” I gasped, trying to calm myself again. “Have you guys read the letter?” He shook his head. “We left the box in the classroom. Taurus and the others are investigating the situation.” I felt his warm hand on my cheek. “We’re keeping it a secret just in case you might hate people knowing about it.” The way his eyes looked at me… was different. “Also, I’m sorry.” He’s still staring at me with his genuine and sincere eyes. “I should stop fighting with Kyril, Lili hates it, I know.” He said as his other hand squeezed mine. The atmosphere wasn’t even for that kind of thing, but as he speaks every word, it felt like it’s been forever since we last talked face to face like this. “I’

I got up from the bed and immediately opened the curtain to see who was talking to me, but there was no one there. ‘Am I hearing things now?’ I shook my head as I lay on the bed again. “This is getting more and more annoying.” I cursed at the wind and closed my eyes. “Lili? Are you there?” I opened my eyes after hearing Mavis’s voice. Why is she here in the infirmary? “Uhm, I actually heard what happened in your classroom today.” She said as I saw her sitting on the chair in front of the bed. I could only see her silhouette since the curtain’s covering the bed. “I know what Kyros did probably pissed you off,” Mavis said. “But he’s only being like that because he likes you so much.” I opened the curtain and saw Mavis. Her hair was in a mess and it looked like she rushed here. “Did Kyros tell you to say that?” “Of course not!” She sighed. “I can’t bear seeing you two break down just because of Kyros’s social anxiety and how he sucks when it comes to interacting with people.” My

“That’s right.” Hearing that causes me to feel this weird annoying feeling inside my guts. “Lily was— No. I don’t want to say it. I shouldn’t be the one saying it.” Kyril said after almost telling it to me. Why though? Why can’t he just tell me who Lily is? “Why? You can say how you met her.” Kyril must have noticed that I’m really curious about this girl named Lily. “Fine. Lily was a sick girl that I met in the hospital where Kyrara was staying before.” He said. “She wasn’t able to go out because of her fragile body. Although I was irritated with her at first, we became good friends. But Kyros came and snatched her away from me just like how he did to everybody else.” Snatched? “Was she yours?”“I mean… I didn’t mean it like that.” Kyril said. “What I meant is that I was her friend first, but Kyros came and snatched her away.”Does it mean Lily chose Kyros over Kyril? “Did you want her all for yourself?” Kyril nodded. “Let me guess, Kyros wanted to become her friend too that’s wh

“I thought you wanted to get along with Tiffany?” I was dumbfounded after I heard Kyros ask that before I could leave. “What? You saw how she— Do you like her now?” I was pissed. I’m the victim yet it feels like I’m being blamed. “Wait, why do you even like me?” After I asked that, Kyros couldn’t answer. I don’t know if he chose not to answer or if he just doesn’t have an answer, but either way, I’m not sure about his feelings anymore. “Leave me alone.” I walked away and didn’t bother listening to whatever he wanted to say— if he will say anything else, but he stood there in silence. “Do you want to meet Silver?” My forehead creased after Kyril greeted me with that. Did he hear my conversation with Kyros? But wait, who’s Silver? I wasn’t even answering yet, but Kyril already pulled me into his car and drove me to their house. When he said silver, he was talking about the white cat that he adopted. I can’t remember the name I gave it, but it wasn’t Silver. “Oh? Did you think I ch

I didn't expect Taurus to be willing to help me with my plan. "Thank you for accompanying me." Taurus patted my head which caught me off guard. "I know it's already hard being Kyros's favorite. It's going to be okay." He said as he bid me goodbye and walked away. That was rare, but I didn't hate it. Instead, it was really great to let these things out sometimes. Miss Kyrary wasn't home, and only Ethan was there. He asked me about the school, but he didn't dig deeper as to why I was already home when it was still not time for dismissal. I went to my room and slammed my body on the bed. "That was tiring." The ceiling makes me feel drowsy, and now I don't know if I should take a bath before going to sleep. "No." I got up and looked at myself. I'm still wearing my uniform, and some blood that came from my arm stained my uniform. I should just wash this before it stays there forever. As I said, I went to the laundry room and washed my uniform after changing into casual clothes. It'd

Lili’s POV“Are you really okay?”I looked at Kyril, tending to my wound since the nurse wasn’t there. “What?”“Was getting hurt like this part of your plans?”The tone of Kyril’s voice was similar to the one my older brother would often use when I got hurt. “No. It was Tiffany’s decision to hurt me like this.” I said, which made Kyril look up at my face. Why is he looking at me with those same eyes as before? It makes me feel uncomfortable… “Believe it or not, I’m not planning anything like that.”“Was

Lunch break ended, and we all went back to the classroom. We have some free time for ourselves since the next teacher was absent. Taurus decided not to waste this free time and prepare the things we’ll need tomorrow for the science fair experiment. They are trying to ask permission to keep the necessities for our experiment in the science lab.“Lili.”I looked behind and saw Tiffany. Why is she calling my name as if we’re close?“What?” I didn’t care about how I acted since the others weren’t there.
