Gina's POV

When I ended the call with Elena, I began to make preparations for my next plans. At first, I have to go to the clinic this time.

I changed from my casual shirts into a long black gown and slid into my sandals.

“Going somewhere? A date perhaps?” Alex asked, suddenly popping up at the door.

“A date? Dressed like this? You amuse me often. Well, yeah, I have something that I need to attend to. It's quite urgent.” I said, picking my black handbag and sunglasses.

“You need me to drive you to this important place?” Alex asked, coming closer to adjust my collar which I didn't remember to do.

“No, I'll just take a cab.” I said. Alex wound his arms around my waist, running his hands towards the upper part of my body.

“Honey, now is not the right time.” I said, expressing discomfort when he began to fondle with my boobs.

“There is never a wrong time for some quick romance.” He said, kissing my neck.

“Alex, please allow me to go. I'm running late. Don't worry, when I return, we'll hav

Elena's POV(That same evening)Since Monica came, she has been in the guest room with Lily. I brew a cup of coffee and was about to carry it into the room.I knocked, waiting for a response when Monica's harsh voice rang out, “who is it?” “It’s Elena. I have a cup of coffee for my lady.” She opened the door and I came inside. Lily looked worse than before. Her hair was unkept, her eyes puffy and red with dark circles beneath. Her face looked swollen and her cheekbones were so visible.“Here you go Ma'am.” She carried the saucer with shaky hands, barely taking a sip. Her hands were shaking so bad that before I could take the cup back from her hand, it fell and squashed on the floor.“What is wrong with you? You clumsy oaf! You can't even hold a cup well, do you want the shards to injure her?” Monica shouted, spanking my butt.I glared at her with anger before removing my face.“It wasn't my fault, Ma'am. I had wanted to…” I was still trying to explain but she interrupted me, almos

Elena's POV“So, Lily, what do you think led to your miscarriage? We need to get to the root of this so that it won't occur again. We also need to know if we must get rid of some people.” She said, not looking in my direction but something told me that she was referring to me.“You asked me not to involve myself with your conversation, remember? I choose to remain silent.” Lily said defiantly.Monica bent her head for a while, using her hand to ease out the wrinkles on her face.“You're just difficult, Lily.” Monica muttered.“Elena, you can go now. In the future, I'll still ask further questions. Mind you, I'm watching your every moves, even when you think I'm not.” She said to me, dismissively.“Okay, thank you Ma'am.” I got up from the stool and left quietly, still feeling Monica's gaze behind me.As I got back to my room, I began to ponder on the fast and easy way to handle this situation. I really need to speak to Gina about this. There is never a convenient time in this house

Elena's POV My heart was drumming relentlessly. They can't be suspecting me now, it's too early. Not when I haven't dealt with Monica or even Julian yet.“If she is still alive, why then have we not heard from her ever since? You know Gina, she always loves to show herself.” Lily said.“I have speculations. I'm not sure yet, but when I am, I'll tell you of my findings. For now, we need to go to the hospital for confirmation.” Monica reaffirmed.“Alright, let me get dressed. We have less than an hour left.” Lily said, I could hear her footsteps as she headed to the bathroom.“What hospital is that again? Where you were admitted?” Monica asked.“Johnson's Hospital at Fifth Avenue. The driver knows the place anyways, he'll just drive us to that place.” Lily answered. That was all I needed. I tiptoed back to my room and picked up my phone to inform Gina.“Hello Ma'am.” I whispered, my voice laced with urgency.“What's wrong again this time?” Gina asked.“Change of plans. They're heading

Gina's POVHer fingers moved across the keyboard, and I watched as the screen lit up with a series of files and records. The process felt agonizingly slow, each click dragging out my impatience. "Hurry," I muttered under my breath, my irritation bubbling to the surface. I glanced at my wristwatch and saw that it was less than thirty minutes to 3pm. Lily and Monica would soon be here. I'm sure they're probably on the way by now.Dr. Lane shot me a brief look but said nothing, continuing her search. Finally, she found what she was looking for and pulled up Lily’s file. "Here it is," she said, pointing to the screen. "Lily Brookes. She came in a few days ago after experiencing a miscarriage." I leaned in, my eyes scanning the details displayed on the monitor. My heart skipped a beat as I reached the section about the cause. "We determined that her miscarriage was caused by poisoning," Dr. Lane continued, her voice clinical. "We found trace amounts of a toxic substance in her bl

Gina's POVFor a split second, panic gripped me. My breath caught in my throat, and the edges of my vision blurred. But years of careful planning had taught me how to act under pressure. But then, there was Elena standing behind them, carrying their bags. I knew she wouldn't recognize me anyway. I could imagine the sense of relief she would feel when she learns of what I did.I turned sharply on my heel, bending my head low as though something on my phone had suddenly demanded my full attention. Don’t look up. Don’t falter. The phone in my hand was merely a prop, a shield against recognition. My heart pounded wildly in my chest, each beat echoing like thunder in my ears. I moved with calculated speed, my pace brisk but not suspiciously hurried. As they drew closer, I could feel the weight of Monica’s gaze lingering, her sharp instincts trying to pierce through my disguise. Lily seemed distracted, her footsteps heavy with fatigue, but Monica was different. She always had a way

  • Gina's Revenge: Return of the Heiress    Chapter 54: Buried Truths

Elena's POVThe hospital air felt thick with sterilized coldness as I walked beside Monica and Lily toward the elevator. The fluorescent lights overhead buzzed faintly, casting sharp, unflattering shadows across Lily’s pale face. She was still weak, her steps unsteady despite Monica’s firm grip on her arm. I kept my face neutral, my expression carefully shaped into one of concern. It wasn’t hard to fake. After all, I had played my role well so far. As we stepped into the elevator, the doors sliding shut with a quiet whoosh, my phone vibrated in my pocket. My heart gave a tiny jolt, a mixture of anticipation and nerves. I already knew who it would be. Keeping my movements casual, I pulled the phone out and flicked my eyes down to the screen. **Gina.** I unlocked the message quickly, glancing at Monica and Lily from the corner of my eye to make sure neither of them were paying attention. *Everything has been taken care of.* That was all the text said. But it was enough.

Lily's POVThe car ride home was suffocating. Mom sat in the driver’s seat, her lips pressed into a firm line, fingers gripping the wheel so tightly that her knuckles turned white. I could feel the tension radiating off her like heat from an open flame. Every once in a while, she would exhale sharply, muttering under her breath, clearly unsatisfied with the doctor’s response. I stared out of the window, my head resting against the cool glass. The city lights blurred past in streaks of yellow and red, and the soft hum of the tires against the road filled the silence between us. I was angry. No—angry wasn’t a strong enough word. I was furious. The moment we stepped into the house, I spun around to face her, my chest tight with frustration. "Why did you take me to the hospital? Have you seen why I hesitated at first? I knew it would be useless.” I snapped, my voice cutting through the quiet like a blade. Mom turned to me, her face a picture of defiance. "Because I needed a

  • Gina's Revenge: Return of the Heiress    Chapter 56: Next Move

Gina's POVBy the time Elena arrived, I was dressed in a sleek black dress, my hair cascading down in soft waves. I had applied just enough makeup to highlight my best features—sharp cheekbones, full lips, piercing eyes. When I opened the door, Elena stepped inside cautiously, as she always did. She was dressed casually—jeans and a fitted top, her dark hair pulled into a ponytail. Her expression was neutral, but I could see the curiosity flickering in her eyes. “How is everything going at the house? I suppose Lily is getting better?” I asked, relaxing on the couch.“Yeah, she is becoming more lively. Julian hardly comes home these days. He stays out late more often ever since Monica came around.” “That's good. Let's get straight to the point then.”I placed my glass down and leaned forward slightly. “Lily and Julian are falling apart,” I said. “Monica made sure of that. But we need to make sure it stays that way.” Elena tilted her head. “And how do you plan to do that?”

Gina's POV I couldn’t stop hugging Alex. Over and over again, I threw my arms around his neck, pressing myself against him as if I could somehow merge our souls together. My heart swelled with so much love and happiness that I thought I might burst. “I can’t believe this,” I whispered against his chest, inhaling his scent—warm, musky, and familiar. “I just… I never thought we’d get here.” Alex pulled back slightly, his hands cupping my face. His thumb traced the corner of my lips, and his deep blue eyes shimmered with affection. “Believe it, Gina. Because from now on, we’re together—*truly* together.” A fresh wave of emotion washed over me, but before I could say anything, Alex suddenly grinned. “We need to celebrate.” I raised an eyebrow. “Aren’t we already?” He chuckled, stepping away to retrieve a sleek black case from a nearby table. When he turned back around, he held up a bottle of champagne, its golden liquid glistening under the soft candlelight. I gasped. “You

Gina's POV The drive to the estate was nothing short of magical. With the countryside stretching out before us, golden fields bathed in sunlight and rolling hills fading into the horizon, I felt a sense of peace I hadn’t experienced in a long time. Alex had one hand on the wheel, his other hand reaching over to gently intertwine his fingers with mine. Every so often, he would glance at me, his eyes twinkling with mischief as he cracked one joke after another. I couldn’t stop laughing. “Okay, okay, stop! My cheeks are hurting,” I giggled, swatting at his arm playfully. “You love my jokes,” he smirked. I rolled my eyes but couldn’t deny it. He had a way of making me laugh so effortlessly, even when I least expected it. As the radio played a soft tune, Alex suddenly turned up the volume and grinned at me. “Come on, let’s sing!” I raised an eyebrow. “You *know* I can’t sing.” “That’s the fun part!” he teased. And just like that, we both burst into song, completely out o

Gina's POV The next afternoon, as I sat in the living room, sipping tea and flipping through a book, Alex walked in with a mischievous smile. "We’re leaving tomorrow," he announced. I raised a brow, setting my book aside. "Leaving? Where to?" "The estate," he said, walking over to sit beside me. He took my hand in his, gently rubbing circles against my palm. "I figured we could spend some time there alone, just the two of us. Consider it a romantic getaway." A rush of excitement flooded through me. I hadn’t even stepped foot in my grandfather’s estate yet, and now, Alex wanted to take me there for a whole week? "A vacation?" I beamed. He nodded. "Just you and me." I nearly squealed, throwing my arms around him. "That sounds amazing!" His deep chuckle vibrated against my chest as he hugged me back. As soon as I pulled away, I called for Lana. • Gina's Revenge: Return of the Heiress    Chapter 157: An estate

Gina's POV Ever since I returned from the hospital, Alex had been treating me like a delicate piece of glass. He barely let me lift a finger, always making sure I had everything I needed before I could even ask. At first, I appreciated his attentiveness, but after a while, it started to feel overwhelming. "Alex, I can do it myself," I protested one morning when he tried to help me put on my slippers. He ignored my complaint, slipping them onto my feet with ease. "You’re pregnant, Gina. You shouldn’t have to worry about anything." I rolled my eyes. "I’m not an invalid. I can still function, you know." He smirked but didn’t argue, simply brushing a kiss against my forehead before heading to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. This had been my life for the past few weeks—Alex doting on me as if I were royalty. I won’t lie; it felt good to be cared for, to be loved in a way I had never truly experienced before. But at the same time, it terrified me. Was he doing this because he

  • Gina's Revenge: Return of the Heiress    Chapter 156: Reassurance

Gina's POV The air inside the car felt heavy as Alex and I rode home from the hospital. My hands rested gently over my stomach, still trying to grasp the reality of the life growing inside me. I should have been happy. This was supposed to be a moment of joy, of hope. Yet, deep inside, I felt something else—something dark, uncertain. The doctor had given me strict instructions—what to eat, what to avoid, when to come in for checkups. She had been reassuring, telling me that everything looked fine, that I was healthy. But none of it eased the fear that gnawed at my chest. Alex glanced at me as he drove. “You’ve been quiet,” he noted softly. I forced a small smile. “Just tired.” He reached for my hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. “We’ll get through this together.” I nodded but said nothing. When we arrived home, Lana was already waiting for us. Her eyes lit up with excitement as she rushed toward me. “Oh my God, Gina! I just heard!” she exclaimed, pulling me into a hug. “

  • Gina's Revenge: Return of the Heiress    Chapter 155: A new Beginning

Gina's POV As Alex and I stepped out of the courthouse, the blinding flashes of cameras assaulted my eyes. The air buzzed with urgency as reporters pushed microphones in our faces, bombarding us with an endless stream of questions. “Miss Saxton, how do you feel about the verdict?” “Do you think justice was truly served today?” “What are your plans for Julian’s company now that it’s been shut down?” "How do you feel about your family members being imprisoned?""What was your reaction when you found out that your sister was with your husband?"Their voices blurred together, a chaotic mixture of curiosity, speculation, and sensationalism. I kept my face expressionless, my lips pressed into a firm line as I walked forward. I had no interest in feeding the media frenzy. Alex, ever the protective force beside me, placed a firm hand on my lower back, guiding me through the throng of reporters. He shot a glare at one particularly aggressive journalist who tried to block our path.

Gina's POV Today was the day. I had waited for this moment for so long that it almost felt surreal. As I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, my mind replayed everything that had led up to this. The betrayals, the suffering, the fight for justice—it all came down to this one day. But before I could dwell too much on it, a wave of nausea hit me suddenly and violently. My stomach churned, and I barely had time to rush to the bathroom before I was kneeling over the toilet, vomiting. I gripped the sink afterward, breathing heavily as I wiped my mouth. What was that? I wasn’t sick. I wasn’t even nervous, not really. So why did my body react like this? A soft knock on the bathroom door made me turn. Lana, my personal assistant, peeked in, her face etched with concern. “Gina? Are you okay?” she asked, stepping closer. I forced a small smile. “I’m fine. Probably just the stress.” Lana didn’t look convinced, but she didn’t push further. Instead, she helped me freshen up befor

Gina's POV #Gina's Triumph The night was ours. After months of battles, betrayals, and carefully orchestrated revenge, Alex and I finally had the victory we deserved. As we drove home, the cool night breeze drifted through the car windows, carrying with it the scent of the city—fresh rain on asphalt, the distant aroma of food vendors closing shop, and the faint trace of the ocean in the distance. I let my head rest against the window, a slow smirk playing on my lips as I replayed the look of horror on Julian, Lily, Monica, and Antoinette’s faces when the police took them away. Justice. Finally. Alex reached over and placed a hand on my thigh, giving it a reassuring squeeze. “You did it, Gina,” he murmured. “You got your revenge.” I turned to face him, my heart swelling with gratitude. “*We* did it.” He chuckled. “Damn right we did. The street lights flickered above, casting elongated shadows as I stepped out of my car and walked toward the entrance. My heels clicked against the pavement, the sound sharp and unwavering—just like my resolve. Inside, the station bustled with activity. Officers moved from desk to desk, filing reports, answering calls, and booking criminals. The scent of stale coffee and ink filled the air, but I ignored it, heading straight to the front desk where a tired-looking officer sat, skimming through some documents. He looked up, his gaze assessing. “How can I help you?” “I’d like to press charges,” I said, my voice firm. His brow l
