Gina's POV

Julian! Again!

The realization that Julian could be the one behind my attack tore me apart. Why would he try to kill me? After everything he did to me, to hurt me? After leaving me devastated?

I was shaking from both anger, frustration and being heartbroken.

Alex slung his arm over my shoulders when he noticed my shaky hands.

“Alright, Thank you Elena. Goodnight.” I said, ending the call abruptly. When I dropped my phone, I broke down in tears.

“All I ever did was love him. I loved Julian with my whole heart, Alex. I never treated him like trash, I was very loyal to him. That is my only offence.” I paused to catch my breath.

This is how he has chosen to pay me back for everything. Not only did he betray me, he killed my child. Our child, Alex! Then he sent me away from his house. Alex, this is the height of it.” I wailed but Alex gripped me tighter as I shuddered against him.

I cried for minutes which seemed like eternity until my head began to ache. I paused to clean th

Elena's POV When I got home, it was almost seven p.m. and Mr. Julian was not home yet. Lily paced around the room with her hands on her waist. “Please get some rest, ma'am. You have been like this for the past thirty minutes now.” I pleaded.“Let me be, Elena. You have no idea how worried I am. Why isn't he home yet? What if something has happened to him?” She asked, her brows furrowing.“Let me get you a cup of coffee. It will help you calm down a bit.” I said, hurrying off to the kitchen.I turned on the coffee machine and rinsed the teacup. Then I brought out the tiny bottle which I tucked into my apron. When I poured the coffee drink into the cup, I added a little quantity of the colourless. It had no scent and it quickly blended with the dark coffee drink. It would be better if I keep giving her this poison in minute amounts. That way, it will slowly eat up her insides without her knowledge. Until she would start feeling the pains, but it'd be too late by then.I stirred the li

Elena's POV“You know you can't deny it for so long. You've been caught red-handed this time, Julian.” Lily said, her voice laced with irritation.Julian threw his hands up in exasperation. He was both speechless and confused. Watching this scene was so funny to me as I remembered the real culprit behind the setup.*****(Flashback to yesterday night)I heard the sound of Julian driving his car from my room. I peeked from the curtain blinds to watch him properly. I waited patiently, for him to leave the car before I'll come down.I had already planned out what I was going to do. After about three minutes, I saw him climd out of his car. I walked gingerly through the stairs, careful not to make any sound.I went through the back door to the garage and then to the parked car.I opened the passenger seat and tucked the used condom underneath the seats. Then the torn packet, I held it in my hand to plant it somewhere else. Elena's POVI waited for hours until I dozed off eventually. The loud scream which rang out from Lily's room woke me up in the early hours of the morning. I checked my bedside clock, rubbing my eyes. It was half past three in the morning. Another scream rang out, this time louder than before. I could hear the hurried footsteps, banging doors and hushed whispers.“Elenaaaaa! Somebody help!!” Lily screamed.I wore a coat over my night dress and rushed out. In the hallway, two or three servants were hurrying into her room.“Ma'am, what's wrong? What is going on? Are you alright?” I asked, holding her outstretched hand. She clutched her belly with one hand, grabbing onto my wrist with another hand as she winced in pain.“Call Julian. Please, I'm dying.” She pleaded.“Go and call Sir Julian.” I ordered the servant that stood at the door in fear and she scurried away.“Ma'am, what can I do to help? A glass of water, coffee?” I asked in panic, supporting her head with my hand.“No. I don't

Julian's POVI could feel my blood rush as I sat down on the lobby seats, staring at the ceiling aimlessly. Lily must be in serious pains by now. She looked so pale on our way to the hospital. Is this what Gina experienced when she lost her baby? I felt a pang of guilt gnawing at my chest but I dismissed it.It wasn't my idea to poison Gina. Lily came up with that on her own Accord, if I knew she was going to do that, I would have spoke up against it.Anyways, this might be Lily's retribution time. Or maybe her own pains is just intense?I shook my head to brush these negative thoughts away. The time was past 4am by the time I checked my phone. My heart raced when I got a call from one of my friends. I had called him for support earlier.“Hey man. What's up?” I asked, swallowing down the lump in the throat that formed this night.“I'm sorry about your wife's condition. I wish I could help but I'm low on funds at the moment.” He said. The world around me darkened and I felt like I was

Gina's POVAlex turned me around to meet his worried gaze. I stood, rigidly, meeting his gaze.“Well, because they're your family no matter what. Lily is still your sister not minding what happened.” Alex said, shrugging his shoulders.“That's simple for you to say. If you were in my shoes, you wouldn't consider someone who poisoned you as your sister.” I blurted out.“I understand how you feel. But then…” Alex started, gesticulating with his right hand.“You understand? Have you been betrayed before? Not just by anyone but your own blood?” I asked in irritation, cutting his silly statement short.“Gina, that's not the point…” “It's a ‘yes or no’ question, Alexander. Have you or have you not?” I retorted, placing my hands on my waist.“Okay. No, I haven't experienced that before. However…”“Then, you obviously don't understand how I feel. You can only assume. So, please don't try to push on this matter. Like I said before, I'm late for work.”I grabbed my handbag and walked out of th

Julian's POVI held Lily's waist as I guided her down the hallway. I guided her to the car parked outside and helped her get inside. Leaving her at the back passenger seat, I went to the driver's seat and started the engine. It revved back to life and we drove off.Lily looked so pale and weak, her eyes were shut throughout most of our journey home.“Sweetie, is there anything you'd want me to get for you along the way?” I asked, attempting to strike a conversation but she shook her head in the negative.“Are you sure you're comfortable?” I asked again, looking backwards to catch a glimpse of her face. She simply nodded in the affirmative without saying another word. I decided to respect her silence and keep driving. We got to our home and parked in the driveway. Before I could get the door for her, she opened and walked out firmly. She walked ahead to the front door and knocked without turning to look at me. Her sudden silence and cold demeanor, seemed odd to me.I locked the car do

Lily's POVI sat on the edge of the bed, looking into empty space. My mind was blank yet filled with noises. I kept hearing whispers, shouts but above all, the sound of a crying baby. Not just any baby, my baby!Hot tears rolled down my cheeks, blurring my vision. I had envisaged how I would take good care of my child, the joy of seeing a mini version of myself was the only thing I could think about. But now, it's all gone. Like the wind, in the twinkle of an eye. It hurt so much. I could still feel pangs of pain at the corners of my lower abdomen.I groaned as I clutched the bed covers with my hands. I was in pains, partially from the miscarriage but mainly from the heartbreak. That child was my hope, my happiness. When I remembered my father's will which stated that either Gina or I must have a child in order to secure the inheritance, I shed fresh tears.I was almost there. I remembered how Julian and I tried so hard to make this baby. Now, she's gone. Our hope was that we'd have t

Lily's POVAs I screamed out for help in my dream, my eyes flew open. I looked around the room in panic, the environment looking strange to me.I rose quietly from the floor and headed into the bathroom. As I removed my clothes, I turned on the shower faucet and allowed the warm water to pour on me.It was both refreshing and soothing. I remained there for a long time, wondering about the relevance of this dream I just had. When I finally came out of the bathroom, I slid into a loose fitting gown and lay down quietly on the bed. I don't know how long I remained in that position, but I soon drifted off to sleep. I was a bit subconscious when Julian came into my room and sat by my bedside.“Hey Baby. You look so tired. I wish there was anything I could do to help you out of this situation.” He took my hand in his, caressing my fingers.I was wide awake but I shut my eyes so that he would think I'm still sleeping. • Gina's Revenge: Return of the Heiress    Chapter 160: A night to remember!

Gina's POV I couldn’t stop hugging Alex. Over and over again, I threw my arms around his neck, pressing myself against him as if I could somehow merge our souls together. My heart swelled with so much love and happiness that I thought I might burst. “I can’t believe this,” I whispered against his chest, inhaling his scent—warm, musky, and familiar. “I just… I never thought we’d get here.” Alex pulled back slightly, his hands cupping my face. His thumb traced the corner of my lips, and his deep blue eyes shimmered with affection. “Believe it, Gina. Because from now on, we’re together—*truly* together.” A fresh wave of emotion washed over me, but before I could say anything, Alex suddenly grinned. “We need to celebrate.” I raised an eyebrow. “Aren’t we already?” He chuckled, stepping away to retrieve a sleek black case from a nearby table. When he turned back around, he held up a bottle of champagne, its golden liquid glistening under the soft candlelight. I gasped. “You

Gina's POV The drive to the estate was nothing short of magical. With the countryside stretching out before us, golden fields bathed in sunlight and rolling hills fading into the horizon, I felt a sense of peace I hadn’t experienced in a long time. Alex had one hand on the wheel, his other hand reaching over to gently intertwine his fingers with mine. Every so often, he would glance at me, his eyes twinkling with mischief as he cracked one joke after another. I couldn’t stop laughing. “Okay, okay, stop! My cheeks are hurting,” I giggled, swatting at his arm playfully. “You love my jokes,” he smirked. I rolled my eyes but couldn’t deny it. He had a way of making me laugh so effortlessly, even when I least expected it. As the radio played a soft tune, Alex suddenly turned up the volume and grinned at me. “Come on, let’s sing!” I raised an eyebrow. “You *know* I can’t sing.” “That’s the fun part!” he teased. And just like that, we both burst into song, completely out o

Gina's POV The next afternoon, as I sat in the living room, sipping tea and flipping through a book, Alex walked in with a mischievous smile. "We’re leaving tomorrow," he announced. I raised a brow, setting my book aside. "Leaving? Where to?" "The estate," he said, walking over to sit beside me. He took my hand in his, gently rubbing circles against my palm. "I figured we could spend some time there alone, just the two of us. Consider it a romantic getaway." A rush of excitement flooded through me. I hadn’t even stepped foot in my grandfather’s estate yet, and now, Alex wanted to take me there for a whole week? "A vacation?" I beamed. He nodded. "Just you and me." I nearly squealed, throwing my arms around him. "That sounds amazing!" His deep chuckle vibrated against my chest as he hugged me back. As soon as I pulled away, I called for Lana. "We have to start packing!" ### **Packing for the Trip** Lana followed me upstairs, and as soon as we reached my room, I s

  • Gina's Revenge: Return of the Heiress    Chapter 157: An estate

Gina's POV Ever since I returned from the hospital, Alex had been treating me like a delicate piece of glass. He barely let me lift a finger, always making sure I had everything I needed before I could even ask. At first, I appreciated his attentiveness, but after a while, it started to feel overwhelming. "Alex, I can do it myself," I protested one morning when he tried to help me put on my slippers. He ignored my complaint, slipping them onto my feet with ease. "You’re pregnant, Gina. You shouldn’t have to worry about anything." I rolled my eyes. "I’m not an invalid. I can still function, you know." He smirked but didn’t argue, simply brushing a kiss against my forehead before heading to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. This had been my life for the past few weeks—Alex doting on me as if I were royalty. I won’t lie; it felt good to be cared for, to be loved in a way I had never truly experienced before. But at the same time, it terrified me. Was he doing this because he

  • Gina's Revenge: Return of the Heiress    Chapter 156: Reassurance

Gina's POV The air inside the car felt heavy as Alex and I rode home from the hospital. My hands rested gently over my stomach, still trying to grasp the reality of the life growing inside me. I should have been happy. This was supposed to be a moment of joy, of hope. Yet, deep inside, I felt something else—something dark, uncertain. The doctor had given me strict instructions—what to eat, what to avoid, when to come in for checkups. She had been reassuring, telling me that everything looked fine, that I was healthy. But none of it eased the fear that gnawed at my chest. Alex glanced at me as he drove. “You’ve been quiet,” he noted softly. I forced a small smile. “Just tired.” He reached for my hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. “We’ll get through this together.” I nodded but said nothing. When we arrived home, Lana was already waiting for us. Her eyes lit up with excitement as she rushed toward me. “Oh my God, Gina! I just heard!” she exclaimed, pulling me into a hug. “

  • Gina's Revenge: Return of the Heiress    Chapter 155: A new Beginning

Gina's POV As Alex and I stepped out of the courthouse, the blinding flashes of cameras assaulted my eyes. The air buzzed with urgency as reporters pushed microphones in our faces, bombarding us with an endless stream of questions. “Miss Saxton, how do you feel about the verdict?” “Do you think justice was truly served today?” “What are your plans for Julian’s company now that it’s been shut down?” "How do you feel about your family members being imprisoned?""What was your reaction when you found out that your sister was with your husband?"Their voices blurred together, a chaotic mixture of curiosity, speculation, and sensationalism. I kept my face expressionless, my lips pressed into a firm line as I walked forward. I had no interest in feeding the media frenzy. Alex, ever the protective force beside me, placed a firm hand on my lower back, guiding me through the throng of reporters. He shot a glare at one particularly aggressive journalist who tried to block our path.

  • Gina's Revenge: Return of the Heiress    Chapter 154: Court Sessions

Gina's POV Today was the day. I had waited for this moment for so long that it almost felt surreal. As I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, my mind replayed everything that had led up to this. The betrayals, the suffering, the fight for justice—it all came down to this one day. But before I could dwell too much on it, a wave of nausea hit me suddenly and violently. My stomach churned, and I barely had time to rush to the bathroom before I was kneeling over the toilet, vomiting. I gripped the sink afterward, breathing heavily as I wiped my mouth. What was that? I wasn’t sick. I wasn’t even nervous, not really. So why did my body react like this? A soft knock on the bathroom door made me turn. Lana, my personal assistant, peeked in, her face etched with concern. “Gina? Are you okay?” she asked, stepping closer. I forced a small smile. “I’m fine. Probably just the stress.” Lana didn’t look convinced, but she didn’t push further. Instead, she helped me freshen up befor

  • Gina's Revenge: Return of the Heiress    Chapter 153: Before Justice

Gina's POV #Gina's Triumph The night was ours. After months of battles, betrayals, and carefully orchestrated revenge, Alex and I finally had the victory we deserved. As we drove home, the cool night breeze drifted through the car windows, carrying with it the scent of the city—fresh rain on asphalt, the distant aroma of food vendors closing shop, and the faint trace of the ocean in the distance. I let my head rest against the window, a slow smirk playing on my lips as I replayed the look of horror on Julian, Lily, Monica, and Antoinette’s faces when the police took them away. Justice. Finally. Alex reached over and placed a hand on my thigh, giving it a reassuring squeeze. “You did it, Gina,” he murmured. “You got your revenge.” I turned to face him, my heart swelling with gratitude. “*We* did it.” He chuckled. “Damn right we did. Now let’s celebrate.” Stopping by a liquor store, we grabbed several bottles of expensive wine and whiskey. Tonight wasn’t about drinking in

Yeah, call me wicked, but I love having my revengeAfterall, everyone gets what they deserve. The evening air was thick with the promise of a storm, but I felt nothing but satisfaction as I pulled up in front of the police station. The street lights flickered above, casting elongated shadows as I stepped out of my car and walked toward the entrance. My heels clicked against the pavement, the sound sharp and unwavering—just like my resolve. Inside, the station bustled with activity. Officers moved from desk to desk, filing reports, answering calls, and booking criminals. The scent of stale coffee and ink filled the air, but I ignored it, heading straight to the front desk where a tired-looking officer sat, skimming through some documents. He looked up, his gaze assessing. “How can I help you?” “I’d like to press charges,” I said, my voice firm. His brow l
