Jennet gasped heavily, inhaling his sweet scent into her lungs. His scent soothed her mind. She felt nothing but only longing for him. She wasn’t sure when she had the feeling for him, but she could not help feeling helpless without him.
When Hue laid her down, her face suddenly turned beetroot red. Maybe she was regaining her senses as she realised they were about to do something beyond only kissing.
“Hue, I-”
“Honey, don’t worry. I promised to wake you up tomorrow before the alarm rings. So, let me help you forget about your misery,” Hue interjected as he smiled at her.
“That’s a bad idea. I don’t want to forget about going to work tomorrow,” Jennet said, panicking herself. The chummy atmosphere was immediately blown away.
“Is going to work a misery to you?” Hue asked as he was rendered speechless at what he heard. In the heated moment, Jennet still tries to kill the mood.
“Yes, of course!” Jennet replied nonchalantly, and her mien t
“Uh~” the woman flinched when something hard was poking on her thigh. “Wha-what is that?!” She panicked. Hue burst into laughter. “Honey, calm down. If you keep asking questions like this, then, don’t cover your eyes,” he said. “I don’t want to,” she replied stubbornly. “It’s because you’re doing it slowly. I become nervous and …ah~!” Something hard entered her hidden valley, pushing through slowly like a well-fed Titanoboa. “It hurt!” She cried and uncovered her eyes as she clawed his arms where her hands landed. “I’m sorry, honey. But, please bear with me, uh~” Hue groaned as he pushed through, venturing into the depth of her valley that was still not used to visitors yet. “This is too painful! I have no idea who we managed to do it with last night! Ah~!” She cried, and tears had burst in her eyes. It felt as if somebody poked her nose using a chopstick. Maybe she wasn’t a human last night for managing to do it with ease with him. But, this time, it
Hue flinched, feeling the creep crawling his skin. His eyes turned deadpan as he said, “I don’t remember you behaved like this before. What have they done to your head? Had you knocked your head somewhere and got confused about your identity?” Delton coughed, and he crossed his arms over his chest. His feminine behaviour from earlier disappeared in a blink. “I thought of annoying you as much as I could, but, well …let’s get to business,” his voice turned manly as his expression turned serious. Then, he spoke, “I have to detain you for the trouble you did to the humans. Had you ever heard anything from your Beacon about how humans lead their lives now? What have you been doing in the villa? Were you properly reflecting on yourself?” “The last thing I want to hear from you is your nagging,” Hue said menacingly. “Why do I have to hear people nagging at me wherever I go?” “It is for your own benefit, Hue. I am your friend, so it is my pleasure to nag at you to ma
Jennet stiffened where she stood. Her mind revisits the steamy memory lane again. She had slept with Hue twice, and it was intense. Plus, she never recalled seeing him putting on protection while doing it with her. She could get pregnant at this rate! “Miss Lockhart?” Susan waved before her face. “Are you alright?” She asked. Jennet snapped to her senses and smiled. “I, I feel a bit tired," she gave an excuse. “Yeah, I can see that from the dark circle around your eyes,” Susan pointed out. “You better go home and get plenty of sleep, okay? Also, would you like me to drive you home?” She was worried to let Jennet drive alone. “Thank you for the offer, but I will be fine on my own,” Jennet declined politely. It would be a bad idea to allow other people to meet Hue after the incident that happened yesterday. She lost a lot of money compensating the victims, and luckily, no one died in the accidents. Super-duper lucky! Susan handed
Jennet was flustered when she saw the smile on Wanda’s face. The pharmacist seemed to be able to read her mind, or was that only her wild imagination? Jennet summoned her courage and spoke, “D-Do you have anything t-to p-prevent p-pregnancy?” Her voice went faint to the point the pharmacist had to tilt her head to hear better. Wanda was a professional person when it was related to work. She knew right away what their customers needed, and like a professional, she would do her best to accommodate their needs. At the same time, she would do her best to sell their products without fail. She could hear the sound ‘cha-ching, cha-ching’ coming to visit soon. Wanda nodded and politely said, “Yes, we do. We have both pills and condoms. As for the condom, we have them for both external and internal use. So, which one will you prefer?” Jennet had already sizzled her brain over the question. External or internal use? What is the difference? She had never known buying contraceptives was as c
Luca smiled even though he was saddened by the news. “Thank you for letting me know,” he rose from the sofa. “Luca, we will do our best to cheer her even if we have to wear clown jumpsuits every day.” Rapha voiced his determination. He hoped to see the man he raised like his own smile again. “That is not necessary, Rapha.” Luca chuckled, brushing off the sadness he felt in his chest. “But, keep looking after my mother.” “You can count on us all for that,” Rapha replied enthusiastically. “By the way, I will come with someone next week,” Luca informed him. Rapha raised an eyebrow. “Someone?” It was rare for Luca to use the general term when addressing a guest. Luca smiled. “Yes, a woman that I want to introduce to my mother and everyone in this house. I hope everyone likes her.” “Are you getting married?!” Rapha gasped in excitement. His eyes gleamed. Luca smiled bashfully. It was a que that he didn’t deny it. “Soon, I hope for it soon. We’re at the stage of getting to know each
At the mention of ‘greed’, Hue was terrified. He tossed the money and stood a metre away from it as if it was a deadly object. “Why are you giving me something like this? This is a human source of greed, and I don’t want to get involved with it. I only want to find a way to get to my wife!” He screamed in annoyance. “This is the way,” Little Veen replied calmly. “Use the money to pay for your ride to get to your wife. Please, I beg of you, use it wisely.” “Hah?” Hue frowned at him. The boy sighed again over his master’s lack of knowledge. “In this world, money is a powerful existence. Humans are willing to kill or die to get it. I may say, it is second powerful to foods.” Hue snorted at his explanation. The papers were power?! Preposterous! Shortly after that, he burst into laughter, losing his mind. He would never bow down to money because his pride won’t allow it as he was a powerful entity. Nothing could overpower his authority. Nothing! Little Veen watched on when Hue conti
“Honey!” Somebody called out. At the same time, the sound of fast-approaching high heels reached his ears.Suddenly, Hue felt his body getting pushed forward when somebody hug him from the back. He turned around, facing the person that approached him. He saw a beautiful woman and she was dressed provocatively; a black short skirt paired with a sheer tight, body-fit white shirt that accentuate her hourglass body shape with the top two buttons left unbuttoned to show off her cleavages. She had a pair of beautiful black irises and her face was well-cared as there was not a single pimple on her skin. The woman wound her arms around his waist, treating him as if they were having an intimate relationship. “I miss you so much!” she said out of the blue.Hue frowned in astonishment. He pushed her away roughly as if any direct contact with her could harm his health. “I’m sorry, but I don’t know you!” His tone was cold and unforgiving. He had never known any other woman besides Jennet. The
As soon as they were in the room, Jennet let go of Hue’s hand. Crossing her arms on her chest, she glowered at him. Her mien wasn't looking good. “Unbelievable!” she said angrily, nearly screaming. No, she was already screaming at him.Hue cowered before her, but he still managed to smile sheepishly at her. He had nothing to say because he knew he was at fault for scaring her. But, he wondered if he should undress her so that she could forget about getting angry?“You’re creepy!” Jennet added.Hue’s face turned gloomy. “I am not,” he fought back, holding his ground. “I’m adorable,” he corrected. Jennet scoffed. “Tch, no you’re not. You’re as creepy as a ghost. You know where I am. I wonder how you managed to find me? Did you bug me, by chance?” she made a wild guess. There was no other plausible explanation for his sudden appearance, but to stalk her. She thought she had managed to get the time of staying far from him but, who would have thought that he would appear before her a
"I am Jennet Lockhart!" claimed the silver-haired woman. Delton furrowed his brows. He had no idea a foreign woman had the gall to make such a claim. He had just returned from the palace and heard of something bizarre from the emperor who was reluctant to divulge the truth. His mood deteriorated after the meeting."Can you prove your claim?" he asked coldly."My ring!" she said loudly. "Hue gave me a ring as proof!"Delton glanced at her finger. There was no ring."I'm sorry, but I don't think you can play around with such a claim," he said. "Lying will add more bad deeds into your account.""I'm not lying," she slapped the bed. "I am Jennet Lockhart. Get my husband here to verify this claim!"Delton exhaled. "I'm sorry but it's improper to call upon him to verify your claim. Have you looked at yourself in the mirror?"How could she claim she was Jennet Lockhart when her appearance differed greatly from hers? This woman must be desperate to get away from her punishment. The woman we
'Apologies for not helping much...' added the spirit.Delton sighed. "Never mind."He turned around and gestured at the reapers to leave the place....After visiting the nursery, Jennet asked to go out for a date.Hue smiled. "I love that idea. Where do you want to go? The gardens?"He was about to get bored and she proposed such an amazing idea to kill time. He was grateful that they clicked.Jennet smiled. "Is that a great place for a meaningful date? We have not gone on a proper date before. I want it to be a proper full-day date!"Hue responded after pondering, "I guess going to the garden is great. Unless you have a place in mind.""I do have one in mind," she said. She gave him a side glance and then smiled widely, "Can we go to the market again? Just the two of us."Hue's face dropped. "The market? Again?" Disappointment was clear in his voice.Jennet leaned closer. "Please, honey. This one time, please..."Hue scratched the back of his ear, contemplating. "Uh, can we go to a
Many hours ago...After spending some time gazing at Hue's sleeping face, Jennet went to the kitchen for a drink. As she quenched her thirst, a gust of wind blew hard, knocking on the back door to the yard. She glanced as she placed the glass on the counter."That's a strong wind..." she murmured and approached to close the ajar door.'West gate...'She froze. She furtively eyed the vicinity. Her heart skipped a beat and goosebumps crawled her skin.Although terrified, she stepped out slightly and looked around; just to ease her feeling. The backyard was mantled in darkness with the twin moon hiding behind thick black clouds.Thud, thud, thud, thud...Jennet flinched and looked up. The sound of footsteps came from upstairs and, strangely, she felt it wasn't her family members. She hurried inside, locked the door, and rushed upstairs. But, the hallway was empty. However, the door to their bedroom was slightly ajar with the lights dimly lit.Jennet furrowed. 'I remember switching on all
Hue and Jennet were downstairs when they heard loud bangs coming from upstairs.“What is that?” Jennet glanced in alarmed, half-jumping from her seat. Hue rose from his chair and assured her to sit comfortably. “I’ll go and check,” he said.“Be careful, honey.” Jennet sat down, hoping nothing bad would happen.Hue went upstairs and realised the loud bangs had come from their bedroom. He grabbed a hanger from the laundry basket near the stairs. In his grasp, the hanger morphed into a sabre.“Gomi?” he called.‘Yes, master?’ replied a voice in his head.‘Do you sense something off?’‘Apart from the spirit is ill, nothing else.’Then, Gomi’s presence vanished from his mind. Hue didn’t think much of it because he was sure Gomi and the rest of their familiars were unhappy after the twins placed them under restrained orders. In Fantasy Realm, restraining orders were considered a major distrust of the master towards the familiars. But, if the familiars were innocent, they could refuse to s
Hue woke up when something buttery and toasty hit his nose. He unfurled his eyes and saw the Smell Folk dancing in mid-air. Their dance was very graceful and beautiful, unlike usual. It seemed as if they were celebrating something that was long forgotten. He sat on the sofa and tied his long hair into a low ponytail. Yawning, he placed the bolster on the sofa bed and approached the kitchen.Standing at the entrance, he eyed his wife, whose back faced him. She was donned in the pink apron he uses when working in the kitchen. She was placing sunny-side-up eggs on a plate."Honey, I thought I would be making breakfast today," he said.Jennet turned around and smiled brightly. "I was up too early today. So, I thought of making breakfast for us since you always made it.""Why didn't you just wake me up?" he asked."You were sound asleep, and I don't want to rouse you from your peaceful sleep."Hue scratched his head and covered his mouth to yawn. "Is this your roundabout way of asking forgi
The turtle inhaled deeply. He broke into a smile. "Yes, of course, because some of the stuff I sell needs the good deed.""Oh..." Jennet nodded her head. She was confused but she had nothing to ask because she had no idea what to ask. The more she delves into the sensitive case, the more she gets confused about everything around them. After the conversation, Jennet and the twins took their time to see all of the stuff on display. The vast majority of the items were human's everyday stuff and were broken. For example, the quills without nibs, shoes without soles, cups without handles, bows without strings and the list just went on.Jennet came across a hilt, the only one among thousands of items on display. She felt a strange sense of Deja Vu as if she had seen it before."That one is notorious and dangerously powerful, but had a sad story..." The turtle gave an intro.Jennet glanced and asked, "What happened to it?" She was interested. The turtle inhaled deeply. "He was once a powerf
Jennet rolled her eyes at them. "Arro, that is not nice. Please don't blatantly harm others.""But, he disrespected you. I can't let that slide."Jennet knocked his head gently and said, "Young man, you can't do that. It was my fault he got mad. I nearly stepped on him due to my carelessness. It's understandable why he talked harshly with me.""But-""That is enough. Let us continue shopping." She stopped him before he could speak his mind. If she said nothing, he would take revenge on her behalf.Arro hesitantly responded, "...Alright."Then, the twins walked ahead of her as she followed them from behind. She heard them talking, enthusiastically, about the festival that was going at full throttle.Jennet smiled and enjoyed herself looking around the place. Suddenly, someone brushed past her and something pricked her arm."Oww!" She gasped in pain. She looked down and noticed blood bleeding through the fabric on her left arm. Grimacing, she pressed her palm onto the cut to stop the b
"Can we go to the market again?" Hue paused, reeled his hand and turned on his heels. His brows knitted at what he heard from his wife. They were in the room, making the bed. "Why? Have you forgotten that you fell ill after our first visit?" He tried to pound some sense into her head. He hoped she would cancel her plans. Jennet clasped her hands to her chest and begged, "Honey, I just want to go shopping!" Hue raised an eyebrow. "Shopping?" It was a wonder how loosely humans think about their safety. Humans love to break the rules and never learn their lesson until it is too late. Jennet nodded. "I want to bring some gifts for my family." Hue exhaled and then sighed. "Honey, I don't think that is a great idea." "Why?" "Well, in my opinion, it's best to buy the gifts in the human realm. Get something that is more of a human thing because everything here is not normal to humans." "Then, how are we going to explain about our kids to my family?" She dropped the bomb a
Hue smiled as he crawled out of bed and stood before her. He took off the hair band that tied his long mane and it flowed free, dispensing a pleasant scent."Keep your eyes on me..." he said with a smirk."I am keeping my eyes on you," answered Jennet brazenly.Hue, locking his gaze on his wife, popped open the buttons on his shirt from top to bottom. His movement was neither slow nor fast. Then, his flawless skin came into sight. His sexy abs and sturdy pecs glistened under the light from every corner.Meanwhile, Jennet said nothing, but she gulped silently. His abs that she had not touched for weeks were within her reach. She was itching to run her fingers all over the perfect specimen! Hue tossed his shirt away but halted from taking off his trousers as he gave her an alluring gaze."You like to see me getting naked, right?""What do you mean?"Hue tilted his head to the side. "Well, I see you're drooling an
