*Olivia Jillian Hunters' POV*
---I was sitting down on the couch near Sydney's bed while her best friend sulked beside her and blamed her for being so careless, reckless, and everything a true friend can say to the person she cares about so much."You are such an idiot, Syd! Do you know that? Of course, you are aware of that." Vidia ranted and wiped the tears that streamed her cheeks. She looked around and took a deep breath, and she stood up and walked near me. She took off her backpack and then placed it on the couch beside me.Vidia went back to my girl and sat again on the stool at her right side. She took out her phone from her hoodie jacket's left pocket and scrolled something on it."You know what, Sydney? I'm telling your homies. They need to know about what happened to you here. This is something that shouldn't be kept secret from your family. I don't f*cking care about what you told me. I'm calling them." The concerned and ang*Sydney Roswell's POV*—"Wha-what did you say?" I asked OJ to make sure I heard her correctly, and she went closer to the bed, where I sat, and looked behind me."Syd, you… oh, no." She muttered, looking astounded and puzzled, and I slowly turned my head behind me to look where she was looking. And I squinted my eyes and looked in disbelief at the person lying behind me. It's not just any person. It's me. And I don't look good."Oh, my! What the…? Who is…" I stammered and hastily tried to hold my face and arms, and I began breathing fast as I felt panicked.I looked at OJ, and she wore the same face as me."How did… I… oh, girl, no! Is this real? Am I just dreaming? Isn't it? This isn't real, right?" I asked my bewildered girlfriend, and she let out a sigh and shook-nodded her head."What does it mean, Oj? Am I in… wait a damn second." I asked her as I tried to get out of the bed and stood beside her, and there, I saw my whole body lying unconscious.
*Olivia Jillian Hunters' POV*---I don't know how many minutes, or maybe it's past an hour, since I have kept on staring at Sydney's unconscious body on the bed before me, and I feel nothing else but loneliness. She left. I wanted to go after her, but I didn't have any clue where she was headed, so I stayed because I believed she would come back here. She should, with or without any sign of progress for our mission. I already told her it wouldn't matter, but that girl's stubbornness is ridiculously unbreakable. I don't want to leave her so soon, but we have no other choice if this is meant to happen. What I only wish is to spend the last moments of my life with her, who amazingly did so much for me.While my mind wanders to thinking of the things I like to do with her ghost if she decides to come back to me, I have been noticing that something is off with her heartbeat monitoring machine. It's unstable since earlier. And I don't want t
*Olivia Jillian Hunters' POV*---"Are you not going to wait for your homies, Syd? They are on their way here from the airport. All of them, Adam, Wendy, Kevin, and Emma. And with Vidia, of course." I curiously asked my girl, and she looked back at me as we were about to pass through the closed door of her hospital room. I have finished explaining to her about her current condition according to the doctor, and she seemed to not care about it."Uh... Nope. I don't want to waste time listening to all of them inform me about my stupidity, especially my brother. He's more than Mom and Dad combined when angry. We better go wherever we want. We still have at least thirty-six hours left. Let's use it wisely." She answered and held out her left hand for me to hold, and I warmly smiled in response as I gently grabbed her hand. She's right. We're free to do whatever we want and go wherever we want, except we can't touch things and people in the physical world. And
*Sydney Roswell's POV*---"Why are you laughing?" OJ asked while pouting her lips and crossing her arms on her chest, and I tried to compose myself from cackling at her silly question."Didn't you hear what I said just a while ago? It's not even two minutes passed yet. So...? Did you? Didn't you?" I asked her as my answer to her question, and she made an adorable thinking face, trying to recall what I told her back at the stairs. I damn confessed my love to her, but she seemed to be not listening at all. Ugh!"Uh-huh. Yeah, yeah, right. I... I did hear it. I was just... trying to... you know... confirm it. Yep." She stuttered and laughed sheepishly, and I just mocked her, making her look away from my face and letting out a small, shy smile.Looking at her so happy right now and all good makes me want to cry badly. I may look strong and okay all these moments I spent with her, but I am heavily breaking inside. I don't want to show her how weak I am, how miserable
*Sydney Roswell's POV*---"What do you mean, Ma'am?" I asked Marcella, and we followed her when she walked a distance and sat at the nearby bench fronting a closed store."She told me she wouldn't help any ghost." The guy following the woman answered me, and OJ and I looked at him in skepticism."What do you mean?" OJ asked him, and he let out a deep sigh and shrugged his shoulders."I don't know. She just won't. She said she's not allowed. I only wanted her to tell my family that I got into an accident yesterday. My unconscious body is at the hospital right now, and none of the staff knew who to call. No one knows me around here because I just got here from Mexico the other week. I only need to tell my parents I'm about to die or not. They have no idea what I have gotten myself in here. And this person was the only one I knew who could hear me. I'm Joseph, by the way. Nice meeting you both!" He explained and reached for a handshake, and I nodded
*Olivia Jillian Hunters’ POV*—My heart sank, hearing the person who used to be so optimistic about almost everything say she wanted to die. Is she giving up? That’s new. I know she lost her hope for me to live, but it shouldn’t be a reason why she would lose hope for her life. There’s so much to keep living for, and she still has so much to accomplish in her life.“Hey, don’t say that, Syd. Everything will be okay.” I told my girl as I knelt before her so I could clearly see her face.Sydney lightly shook her head and sobbed, “No. It’s… I just… I can’t. Everything is not okay. I wasn’t okay, and I know… I won’t be okay.”I pursed my lips, trying not to cry as it was my first time seeing this tough person cry and about to break down.“Hey, look at me. You’re a brave girl. You’re smart. You’re amazing. You will be okay. We talked about this already.” I assured her as I brought my right hand to her cheeks to cheer her up. She closed her eyes, and I deeply kn
*Olivia Jillian Hunters' POV*—"I don't know if you're being sarcastic or funny, Hunters, but it's funny. That's hilariously ridiculous. Mhmm." Sydney remarked with a mixed expression of being calmly annoyed and mad while saying back what I said to her, making me gulp as I sensed her intense sarcasm. Then she walked ahead but still held my hand.Right now, I don't know what to say anymore because the atmosphere just got so damn awkward. That's a f*cking wrong move.It literally scares me whenever this biatch activates this cranky mode of hers. When she gets quiet after saying something pesky, it's time to keep my fine ass silent and not utter any more words that could worsen the situation… or I would give a fight. But right now, I love to annoy her, so I'm going to argue and try to be someone she will hate… but not really hate that much, just enough."Come. Think of it, Syd. People fall in love, and the time will come that they'
*Olivia Jillian Hunters' POV*—"Open your eyes," Sydney asked me, and I felt excitement as I saw what was around us.It was a beautiful garden, where there were lights around, pretty flowers, and a fountain. Then there's a gazebo with lots of flowers around it."Wow, this is amazing, Syd. Where is this?" I asked her, and she slipped her hands inside her sweatpants' pockets."It's in a restaurant. It's a secluded area for… you know, couples who want to be away from a lot of people inside there. Actually, this is where I want to… take you to have dinner someday." She answered and shyly smiled, and I could feel her nervousness even from a mile away from here."Damn, you mean… out on a date? Dinner date?" I asked her while trying so hard to contain my joy, and she nodded her head in reply."Yep. Cheesy, I know. Since I don't have a chance to bring you here soon, I brought you here now. And I don't know if any of your exes h
*Olivia Jillian Hunters' POV*---Her lips trailed kisses down my neck, making me grip tight on the sheets while I bit my lower lip to keep myself from crying her name in pleasure. As she casually licked and gently sucked my skin, I couldn't help but grab her hair with my left hand, and my right one was inside her shirt and scratching her bareback. She stopped kissing my neck and chuckled when I involuntarily pulled her hair back a bit hard, and I apologized quickly."Sorry, Love.""Don't worry. I like it." Syd replied and looked me in the eyes. I saw her smirk and eyed my lips."Please stop biting your lip too hard. It'll bleed." She asked me and leaned down to peck on my lips, and I responded immediately. How can I not bite it if she was so damn good at this kind of matter? And I don't want to be loud because neighbors might hear, or maybe any of her housemates or friends have arrived and wonder what we're doing here. Well, if she were in my situation, I am so freaking sure she'll
*Sydney Roswell's POV*—"What? No! I don't know what the heck you are talking about, Oj. You know what? Let's take some snacks downstairs. Let's just figure out what to do with this one later tonight or tomorrow." I renounced and asserted as I really wanted to escape from being cornered by her."Oh, no! Where are you going, Sydee? We're not yet done here. You said you'll take a break after editing the 70th chapter. We are going nowhere but here, My Love." She teased and held my chin with her right hand, making me face her, but I tried to avoid eye contact."No! Did I say that? Well, I've changed my mind. Let's go, Mi Amor! What do you want to eat?" I exclaimed and was about to stand up, but I could barely move because of this laughing girl sitting on me who's not that light at all."Hmm. Hey! I have a better idea, Oj! Why don't we… umm, later before we go to our dinner date, let's go and find a dog that you want to adopt. A puppy! Yeah! I remember you want to call him Mickey. Right? D
*Sydney Roswell's POV*---"Her soft rosy lips gracefully danced with mine in a remarkable rhythm, making me feel all these familiar sensations inside me. When her powerful warm moist tongue slipped inside my mouth, I, with all enthusiasm, welcomed it for a friendly match.I heard her chuckle while still not breaking our passionate kiss, and I gently bit her lower lip as I tried to dominate this session. Then I lost control of my hands when they started creeping inside her shirt to caress her delicate skin, which caused her to let out soft moans. Mmm, her voice is such excellent music in the ears. I could listen to it my whole life and never get tired. And things happened a bit too quickly when she's now topless while we both sat on the bed. I swear I have no full control of my hands. But I absolutely love to see her wear nothing on top but her jade pendant necklace. She continued bussing my neck, making me all turned on, while her right hand had been gently kneading my left boob unde

*Olivia Jillian Hunters' POV* — "Okay. What is it?" Sydney asked and curiously looked at me. I grinned and locked my eyes on her luscious pink lips, and I could sense she already knew what I meant when her facial expression changed into something that seemed to be alarmed. "No." She asserted and glared at me. "What? I haven't said anything yet!" I exclaimed and laughed at her when she rolled her eyes at me. "Oh, yeah? Your eyes say a lot more than your mouth, Hunters. You know that saying, right?" She explained and moved a little away from me. Ugh, she's so adorable. I can't... I just, no, I'm so in love with her! "What? Seriously, Syd. Don't be so rude! And don't f*cking act like you don't want it, too! Come on, Roswell!" I belted while still laughing at her blushing face, and I tried to compose myself. "What? No! We are inside the school premises. In case you are not aware. We can't do that here. Look around, biatch. There are some students everywhere, and they've been eyein
*Olivia Jillian Hunters' POV*---The tears formed in her warm blue eyes finally fell as she looked at me in disbelief, and I sweetly smiled at her in response."I missed you, Syd. There's not been a day, an hour, a minute that you won't cross my mind and dreams." I confessed and bit my lower lip to hold my emotions and not cry."I thought at first that it was just all... normal dreams, bad dreams, and nightmares. But I deeply know it might be not. And here we are. I'm so glad to see you again." I continued and brought my left hand to her face to wipe her tears away, and she cried more. Oh, no, she's in her vulnerable mode again. I clearly remembered those times she cried so much for me. Nonetheless, all the tears and sacrifices she spent on our journey together were given justice as we won the fight we fought. I cannot be here right now if not because of her and her stubborn but optimistic ass. And, of course, with the help of her ever-supportive friends.I chuckled when she asked,
*Sydney Roswell's POV*---"Uh... Hi!" I nervously greeted her, and I saw her smile at me. Oh, gosh, I missed that smile... so much."Why are you looking at me like that, Roswell? You seem like you've seen a ghost. Well, surprise, biatch, I'm still alive and kicking. But I can't kick my left leg yet." She said and chuckled, and I softly laughed with her."Yeah... No, I mean... Uh, it's so nice to see you again. I'm glad you're alright." I stammered and finally got the right words to say, but I am still feeling so anxious now."Ooh, so you are trying to say that you missed me, huh?" She remarked while grinning, and I let out a scoff."Hell no!""Really? I mean... Why would you miss me, right? I know I am not missable. Is that even a word? Because you aren't, too." She replied and acted quite mean, and I chuckled. You have no freaking idea how much I missed you, Mi Amor."Well, it's good that you know," I answered and regretted it right after as I realized we were back to being what we w
*Sydney Roswell's POV*---Monday came. It's the first time I'm going back to the academy after about a month of absence. It was an absence to do something I know I will forever be grateful for and will never regret.I had spent almost my whole day taking quizzes and exams in the empty detention room near the Principal's Office. It's absolutely tedious, but I have to do this if I want to catch up with the lessons of my classmates. I'm super happy I wouldn't need to take summer classes if I could pass these quizzes and exams.I was currently answering the final two items of my last exam for today when an unfamiliar student suddenly came in and handed me a small piece of paper. She didn't say anything and left the room. That's so weird.I looked at what was written on the paper in my hold, and I blinked to read it clearly."Meet me at the bench fronting the library. 3:30 PM.""What and who the hell are you?" I muttered and thought of who might this be, and the first person that came int
*Sydney Roswell's POV*---"Yow, Sydney! I have a question. Don't get this wrong, aight? It's just a question or a suggestion. Just out of curiosity." Grace called me and asked, and I turned my swivel chair to look at her sitting comfortably on my bed beside her girlfriend, who was busy munching some popcorn.I raised an eyebrow in response to tell her to go on, and she grinned. Let me bet. I strongly know this will be about OJ again. There was nothing that this person asked me that the girl I adore wasn't mentioned."Well... You do know that OJ will be home finally later from Chicago. What if... What if you just... tell OJ everything... the whole truth? You know... your journey together, the things you did for her, everything you did together while she's still out of her body, what you feel, that you're girlfriends, and... all of it. Maybe she can remember, even just a bit." She suggested and looked so serious while Emma stopped shoving pieces of popcorn in her mouth to look at me an
