THEODROS

"Marilyn, please give us your answer" Danzo spoke softly, leaning down to kiss Marilyn's already shut eyes.

I brushed my lips against her fair knuckles, urging, waiting, and wishing that she would say yes to something that anybody in her shoes would find bizarre.

"yes" Her tiny murmur was heard, and I paused for a few seconds. A smile formed on my face as I buried my face into the crook of her neck to contain my happiness.

Finally!

After decades of waiting and fighting against the sun god's wrath. My kingdom and people were now given a chance to be redeemed and very soon, our former glory shall be restored.

I stared back at the little girl who had fallen into a deep sleep. She appeared to be around the age of 18 or maybe, 19.

I couldn't help but think about the significant age difference between her and us. We brought her from her home and timeline to the past, telling her to bear our child. I can't imagine how terrifying it would be for someone in her position. And I know exactly what must be going on in her mind.

She fears that once she fulfills the prophecy by bearing a child, we will ruthlessly discard her and send her back to her timeline without regard for her feelings, now that our purpose is served. Although she longs to return home, she dreads the thought of being callously abandoned and cast aside like a tool that's lost its usefulness.

I am not crazy enough to say that I love her or something to assure her that no such thing would happen. She was partly right.

Everything I've done up to this moment has been for the sake of my kingdom and to fulfill the prophecy. We called her for the same purpose, but the only thing I'm sure of is that I would not treat her as a tool after the prophecy is fulfilled.

One of the things we needed to do was to have sex with her again and again until she got pregnant. That was my intention at first but after having a taste of that sweet cherry in between her legs, I don't think I will be able to keep my hands to myself even after she gets pregnant. I am sure even Danzo feels the same way.

I lifted my head from the crook of her neck, letting Danzo carry her into his arms.

"Take her to the room," I said draping a coat around my shoulders, my blue eyeballs shone with malice as I stood up, "I have somewhere to go"

Danzo nodded, bowing slightly and walking away with Marylin in his arms. Danzo was my half-brother and my most trusted man. He was always there, supporting my every decision and serving me diligently. Not only that, he was much more capable and fit for the throne than I was but he didn't want to be king.

"It's not good to keep a god waiting, you know?" His annoying voice rang once again in my head.

Fuck him

But still... It was my fault that we were in this mess in the first place.

I hurriedly teleported to the pre-arranged meet-up spot, a serene garden adorned with a stunning array of plants and flowers.

I was human, but I absorbed the essence of the sun god. Even though the essence was absorbed from my body, fragments of it remained inside me. I discovered that I had gained new abilities, such as teleportation, that normal humans didn't have.

"Ah, there you are, Theo!!" The sun god, zephyros spoke with a chuckle while waving his right hand at me.

"I could never get used to seeing you in human form. As a sun god, you seem to have a lot of free time." I facepalmed.

He had golden, fiery hair that cascaded down to his toes and golden eyes in his god form, but in his human form, he appeared as a typical businessman. His hair was now short and brown, his eyes also brown, and he wore a business suit, a million-dollar watch, and a pair of expensive shoes.

He rolled his eyes before standing from the tall tree branch he was sitting on. "Check this out, ain't all this cool? So these are all the cool stuff you humans like? No wonder y'all had to go through all the trouble of earning money even though all humans would still meet their end"

Zephyros jumped down from the tree and walked toward a small puddle close to me. He stared obsessively at his reflection with a huge grin on his face.

"Cut to the chase and tell me what you called me for" I spoke with a frown on my face. I knew for a fact that if Zephyros had called me to tell me something without using a telepathic link, then something big was going on or was about to happen.

"Oh, that?" Zephyros placed his fingers under his chin, "I think I've forgotten......

With a swift motion, my clenched fist propelled forward, making forceful contact with the nearby wall. The impact was powerful, causing the formation of a big hole and several small cracks in the surface.

"You've got to be kidding," I said feeling seriously pissed off.

Zephyros laughed, "What? Are you mad because I called you here abruptly while you were having fun with your soon-to-be bride? Did I ruin your intimate moment?"

"Okay, I was just joking. I came here to warn you against changing the prophecy or trying to do so," Zephyros added, his silly facial expression vanished, replaced by a serious one.

I paused, staring back at him.

"What do you mean by that?"

"And that's exactly what's happening," Zephyros continued, his expression serious. "By bringing Marylin to the past earlier than prophesied, you've created a ripple effect. The consequences are unpredictable and far-reaching."

My mind reeled as the weight of my mistake settled in. "What kind of consequences?" I pressed, my voice laced with dread.

Zephyros's eyes locked onto mine, his gaze piercing. "The timeline has shifted. Events will unfold differently now. Some may be simple, others catastrophic."

I felt a cold sweat break out on my forehead. "How catastrophic?" I asked.

"Nah, I can't tell you that. When it unfolds, you will see it yourself" Zephyros smiled, "Anyways, you can carry on with your fun, I'm leaving"

Zephyros waved and disappeared into thin air. Bastard!

My fist tightened beside me. Damn it!
