Chapter 76

Williamson had left Goldman’s to go back to the station. Dalton had waited for Goldman to freshen up, change clothes, and grab a gift he had for Patty.

Once Goldman was ready, he and Dalton went to the station. Dalton wore a short sleeve black shirt with a collar; it had Triton Bail Bonds inscribed in gold on the pocket. Dalton also sported black jeans and black boots. Goldman had changed into a pair of dark blue Levi’s and a black long sleeved button down shirt. They looked like enforcers ready to take care of business like they used to in the old days when they had been deputies together.

“Now, remember,” Dalton said quietly as they approached the front door. “Let me handle this. You’re too emotional right now.”

Goldman reluctantly nodded.

The sun was setting.

They walked into the station.
