Gaia POV.

“Gaia?” I blink that the boy I saw a few months back was a tiny five-year-old child and now he looks like he is nearly an adult. How?

“Sirens grow and mature quicker than any other shifter they have to, to be able to survive in the water. He is a warrior, a hunter.” Well, fucking hell!

“Charlie … I … What? I can’t believe it. Look at you.” I walk to him when the woman at his side hisses at me and crouches low. I stop and smirk in her direction.

“Hiss at me again and I will tear you apart.” I snarl at her when Charlie turns his head to look at her and he nods his head at her. She stands and bows to me, and this time I don’t tell her not to.

“Mommy, who are they?” I turn and Rosa walks cautiously forward as I bend and pick her up. I look at Charlie and his eyes widen before he smiles at her.

“Rosa. Don’t you remember me?” he asks her gently, and she shakes her head.
