Jason's POV
After my meeting that was scheduled at 11am, I went back to my office and started to read the client's file that Shelby's secretary had given me. Mr. Kolinsky seems like a very big deal to Shelby since she gave me this job to handle it for them because she can't. She must've known that I have a very good persuasive skill which is why she gave me this small task to start off with our new partnership deal. A knock sounded from the door and I looked up as Sylvia walks in.
"Mr. Cartwright?"
"Yes?"
"There was a call from Falcon Group and they want you to be there at a 12:30 meeting to discuss the new deal with their cosmetic project." I frown
Jason's POVIt was already past five thirty in the afternoon that I finally decided to escape from my office to get some fresh air outside. My employees had already retired for the day and Sylvia was the last one to leave and I'm now the only one still wandering at work. Before she left, I asked her to get me two bottles of Corona and to call Chase to come see me at the company. I took the two bottles of beer with me to the rooftop and I just stared at the city below me while drinking one bottle and keeping the other one for Chase. I waited and watched till the sun starts to set and the city started to get enveloped by darkness and multiple lights start to light up everywhere. The lights around the rooftop starts to turn on as well, probably done by one of the security guards on duty downstairs in the lobby.
Shay's POVI don't remember how I got back home last night or even how I got into my bed, but one thing for sure is that, vodka gives a mean hangover. I stripped myself out of bed and clutched my head as I groaned all the way to the bathroom to get ready. After showering, my head felt a little better and I slowly get dressed to head to work. My outfit for today was a blood red jumpsuit with thin straps and a white blazer. I put my hair up in a ponytail leaving two thick hair locks out to frame my face and then I did my makeup. I slipped on my white heels and then grabbed my handbag before leaving my room to go downstairs and have breakfast. To my surprise, Shelby was already there at the table having breakfast alone. She seems to enjoy coming home very often now that she's using
Shay's POVAlong the drive to work, I plugged in one of my air pods and dialed the number of a very important client from China, that I was closely acquainted with during his last business trip here to San Francisco. I figured if was going to handle our products in other international countries as well, then starting in our closest foreign branch is the first step. He answered the call a minute later and I quickly started small talk, just asking how he was doing and making sure he still remembers the good time he had spent in San Francisco thanks to my help. He was a client of my father and since I was the only one in the family that speaks fluent Chinese, dad wanted me to stay close to him and showed him around the city and help him out with anything since he was still working on his English.
Shay's POV"Can someone send me the weekly report please?""Yes, right away ma'am."I moved away from the intercom on my table after informing my assistant and then started sorting out the other files on the other side. It's only been my second day and I didn't realize that working here at Falcon Group would be this hectic. Although I knew it wasn't like this before when my brother was still the CEO but I guess what Shelby said this morning was right. We really are on pins and needles trying to get the company back on its feet, now that the person that was running the company is gone. A short knock sounded from my door and I called out to the person to enter. I looked up and smiled when I saw that it was
Shay's POVThe meeting with our client took longer than I had expected, we finally left that restaurant nearly half past five in the afternoon and because we had finally succeed in making him work with us and also feel a bit exhausted, we decided to head to a bar to celebrate our first successful meeting together. Chase ordered a whiskey on the rocks and I ordered a bloody Mary instead, we clinked our glasses together and slowly sipped our drinks in comfortable silence. I suddenly remembered about Sylvia, and now that Chase is here and we're both not at work right now, might as well invite her to come so we all hang out together and I can finally introduce them to each other. Although she might not like it but it's still worth a shot. I grabbed my phone from my purse and browsed through my contact list for her number.
Shay's POVThe next morning, I started to get ready to meet up with Aria Langford in town. She had texted me earlier this morning the place where we would meet, it was a popular café that I know of that I usually go to with some of my friends. Even when she's requesting to meet at somewhere in public and she's going to tell me some things about Jason, I still have this weird feeling that I got from last night after our phone call. It's so weird and very unsettling but Jason is the only man in my life that I've ever been in love with, so if there are some things about him that I should be aware of even when he can't tell me, I guess learning about a few things from his ex-girlfriend won't hurt at all. Though it's pretty annoying.I wore a dark red silky top with thin spagh
Jason's POVAfter leaving Shay's office, I went up to the 12thfloor to the conference room where the meeting is held. Soon after I arrived, people started to come in as well and starts sitting around the big and long rectangular shaped table with their files or folders in hand. I was already sitting down, waiting for all members of the board and team leaders of each department to arrive. I looked to the side and watched the two guys setting up the projector and the computer nearby just to distract myself from thinking about what Shay said to me a few minutes ago.I was one step closer to getting her back but everything went wrong when she chose to listen to that little devil on her shoulder that kept reminding her of my mistake. I know she still feels the same about
Shay's POVThe doctors finally moved dad to his own private room, he was still unconscious but Dr. Ram assured us that it's not a critical condition and once he'll wake up they'll examine him once more. Mom was putting on a hysterical act with crocodile tears on display and deep affection for dad's condition and all, I almost believed her myself. We were only inside the room for about 20 minutes till she told us to leave so she can be alone with him for a while. I went downstairs to the hospital's cafeteria to get some coffee and to my surprise, Shelby was also there, sitting alone in the corner and staring idly at the cup of coffee in her hands.I thought she already went back to work?I approached her table and I sat down on the empty chair in front of her and her eyes quickly snapped up to mine. She rolled her eyes to the side and leaned her back against her chair."Dad should be okay in a few days right?" She angrily scowled at me."Are you kidding? The guy collapsed and he's not
~3 months later ~Shanelle POVLife has a funny way of taking unexpected turns. As I sit here, reflecting on the whirlwind of events that have unfolded in my life, it's hard to believe how much has changed in such a short span of time. Traveling, modeling, and chasing my dreams have taken on a whole new meaning. Vincent, with his enigmatic presence, crashed into my world like a silent storm, shaking up everything I thought I knew. And truth be told, I'm grateful for that unexpected collision. Before Vincent entered the picture, my life revolved around two things: traveling and my modeling career. I was passionate about both, but I had always approached them with a certain level of detachment, keeping myself at arm's length from truly embracing the experiences that lay before me. I was lost in a robotic existence, constantly pushing myself beyond my limits to maintain an illusion of perfection, covering up the cracks within me, all for the sake of fame and the spotlight. But Vincent ch
Shanelle POVAs I settled into my seat on the plane, ready for the journey back home to San Francisco, I couldn't shake off the heavy burden that had settled upon my heart. The events of the past day haunted me, casting a dark shadow over my thoughts. Beside me, Beatrice and Kayleen sensed the change in my demeanor. Their concerned glances spoke volumes, but I couldn't find the strength to share the truth with them just yet. When I returned from my date with Vincent, my heart shattered and tears stained my cheeks. Beatrice and Kayleen did their best to offer comfort, but their words seemed distant, unable to penetrate the depths of my despair. I knew I had to face the consequences of my choices alone, and the pain of that realization only compounded my sorrow.
Shanelle POVAs I slowly blinked my eyes open, the morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a soft glow on the room. The warmth of the sun embraced us, enveloping Vincent and me in its gentle caress. Vincent lay beside me, still sound asleep, his features relaxed and tranquil. His dark hair was tousled, his chiseled jawline softened by the innocence of slumber. I couldn't help but marvel at the sight before me. He was simply breathtaking, and at that moment, my heart swelled with an overwhelming affection for him.Memories of last night flooded my mind, the intoxicating magic we shared. The passion and tenderness that flowed between us were beyond words. Each movement, every touch, etched in my memory like an intimate dance that only we knew. I replayed every detail, savoring the sensation that st
Shanelle POVAs the candlelight flickered on the table, casting dancing shadows across the room, Vincent and I began to savor our dinner. The tantalizing aromas filled the air, creating an ambiance that complemented our growing connection. As we savored each bite, the conversation naturally drifted towards my modeling career, sparked by Vincent's genuine curiosity."So tell me," Vincent began, his eyes filled with intrigue, "how long have you been modeling?"A smile tugged at the corners of my lips as I reminisced about my journey."It's been three years now," I replied. "Ever since I stepped foot onto the runway for the first time, I knew I had found my passion. Modeling allows me to express
Shanelle POVI stood in front of the walk-in closet, the scent of Chanel, Dior, and Saint Laurent lingering in the air. Sunlight streamed through the open windows, casting a warm glow on the colorful array of clothing before me. Tonight is my date with Vincent, and I wanted to look my absolute best. However, as I scanned the rows of clothes, doubt crept into my mind. What the hell should I wear?Beatrice lay sprawled on the bed, engrossed in a fashion magazine. Her big blue eyes glanced up, catching my reflection in the mirror."Hey, Bea," I called out, hoping she could provide some much-needed guidance."Any thoughts on wh
Shanelle POVAs I sat behind the wheel of my car, driving down the bustling city streets, my mind was consumed by thoughts of Vincent. It had been two long days since we had last seen each other, those fleeting moments when he and Dan dropped us off at our hotel, leaving without much of a goodbye. Yet, despite the brevity of our encounter, I couldn't shake him from my thoughts.Did he think of me too? Was he caught in a whirlwind of memories and emotions just as I was? These questions tumbled through my mind, blending with the cacophony of car horns and the distant hum of city life. The uncertainty gnawed at me, twisting my heart in knots. I longed for answers, for a connection that I hoped went beyond a mere chance encounter. My destination, the prestig
Shanelle POVI stepped into the safe house, the familiar scent of home welcoming me. The adrenaline from the day's events was finally subsiding as I closed the door behind me. We had made it back safely, and a sense of relief washed over me. My muscles ached from the physical exertion and tension, and I couldn't wait to let go of the weight that had been pressing on me.After a quick glance around the dimly lit living room, I made my way towards the bedroom. The hot water of the shower embraced me, washing away the grime and leaving me refreshed. I changed into fresh clothes, relishing the feeling of comfort they brought. With a deep breath, I stepped outside into the night air, making my way toward the pool. The sky stretched above me, a canvas of stars
Shanelle POVI sat on my bed the next morning, clutching my phone tightly in my hands. The screen displayed a seemingly never-ending stream of notifications, each one more anxiety-inducing than the last. My heart raced as I watched my video from the frat party trend across social media platforms. It was as if people couldn't get enough of it, sharing it from one corner of the internet to another. And with each share, a flood of comments and feedback poured in, all directed at me.I had worked so hard to maintain my "perfect" reputation. People saw me as a walking embodiment of flawlessness, and I had meticulously crafted that image. But now, this video threatened to expose the cracks in my carefully constructed facade. It made me feel vulnerable and exposed to the judgment of others, and it terrified me.
Shanelle POVAs the anticipation built up inside me, I glanced at the clock on my bedroom wall. It was already 9:00 p.m., and I hurriedly surveyed myself in the mirror, making sure every detail of my outfit was just right.I had opted for a sleek black dress that hugged my curves in all the right places. Its off-the-shoulder design added a touch of sophistication, while the knee-length skirt showcased a playful edge. I paired it with strappy heels that elongated my legs and completed the look with a statement necklace and a bold red lip. I couldn't help but feel confident in this ensemble.Beatrice and Kayleen burst into my room with equally limited excitement for tonight's mission or whatever they wanted to call it. They looked stunning in their own dis
