Shay's POV

The next morning, I started to get ready to meet up with Aria Langford in town. She had texted me earlier this morning the place where we would meet, it was a popular café that I know of that I usually go to with some of my friends. Even when she's requesting to meet at somewhere in public and she's going to tell me some things about Jason, I still have this weird feeling that I got from last night after our phone call. It's so weird and very unsettling but Jason is the only man in my life that I've ever been in love with, so if there are some things about him that I should be aware of even when he can't tell me, I guess learning about a few things from his ex-girlfriend won't hurt at all. Though it's pretty annoying.

I wore a dark red silky top with thin spagh

But the feeling never went away and it remains with me till I finally arrived at the coffee shop and parked my car before going inside. 'Chika' is the name of the place, with mahogany interior inside, bookshelves aligned in one corner, green couches placed on the side with decorating vines raining down the white painted walls and a big red neon sign behind the counter that says 'Mama's coffee is the best'Since it's still early in the morning, there like 5 to 8 people sitting inside and as soon as I walked in, the smell of freshly brewed coffee suddenly greets me. Yet, the way Shelby described her job was like a huge burden that she's secretly trying to get rid of. It's no wonder why she wanted Shawn's position in the company so bad.Sometimes I stayed late at the office just to finish my share of work in a day and then later work on my SFO project. Jason's POVI was a little surprised why Shelby Falcon called me in the middle of the day asking if we can meet and since our meetings are usually included in my everyday schedule, I'd say that this one was a bit weird. After my appointment with my client from a special advertisement company based in Japan, I drove straight to Falcon.Grp to see Shelby. As soon as I arrived, I went straight up to her office and her secretary greeted me with a nod before I went inside her office after the secretary informed her through the phone about my arrival. She was sitting on the armchair in the middle of the room, drinking something from the white china cup in her hand. She caught me staring at her and then motioned for me to go inside. I walked towards her and sat down on the couch in front of her and gave her a small smile. After my meltdown the other day, we haven't spoken to each other since then and to think we're now on good terms would be unbelievable. It's not like I'm expecting to get along with her now but let's just see how this conversation goes."I invited Chef Di Angelo tonight, I've been craving for Italian dishes for quite some time now. Are you okay with Italian cuisine for dinner tonight?"I nodded and looked away."Yeah. I'm okay with anything."

The screen displayed a seemingly never-ending stream of notifications, each one more anxiety-inducing than the last. My heart raced as I watched my video from the frat party trend across social media platforms. It was as if people couldn't get enough of it, sharing it from one corner of the internet to another. And with each share, a flood of comments and feedback poured in, all directed at me.I had worked so hard to maintain my "perfect" reputation. People saw me as a walking embodiment of flawlessness, and I had meticulously crafted that image. But now, this video threatened to expose the cracks in my carefully constructed facade. It made me feel vulnerable and exposed to the judgment of others, and it terrified me.

It was already 9:00 p.m., and I hurriedly surveyed myself in the mirror, making sure every detail of my outfit was just right.I had opted for a sleek black dress that hugged my curves in all the right places. Its off-the-shoulder design added a touch of sophistication, while the knee-length skirt showcased a playful edge. I couldn't help but feel confident in this ensemble.Beatrice and Kayleen burst into my room with equally limited excitement for tonight's mission or whatever they wanted to call it.
