ON THE PHONE

CHAPTER 4

I was shocked when i saw that the call was coming from the guy who was pretending to be me. I was so scared and i did not answer the call , in fact i was not even ready to talk to him.

The phone was still ringing, making alot of noise but Dad and Reen didn't wake up.

"What do i do now?" I asked myself.

I made up my mind, i removed the battery from the phone and the phone went off so the call ended. But it was not yet over, just as i finished shutting the phone down, i heard footsteps outside like someone was running around the house.

I went at the window to see if someone was really out there, but all i managed to see was darkness, it was too dark out there and i couldn't even see the car as long as it was black.

I tried spreading my eyes through the dark but i didn't find out anything new.

Suddenly, i heard the phone ringing again and it screwed my brave mood this time, i was scared as if i was facing death and i was even scared to touch my own phone.

I peeped on the phone to see if he was really the same guy calling, and yes it was him calling.

I gathered my bravely and then i answered the call .

"Sup genius, you miss me?" Ye started yelling but his voice sounded exactly like there was no way i could differentiate his voice and mine and i did not answer the call because my was not ready to come out.

"As long as i am you, you can't get away from me ,I'm your faithful partner and that's why I'm on your back following you everywhere you go" he said but still i didn't reply instead i took the phone and smashed it down because i knew i had another one.

"I'm done with you" i said angrily.

"Its over now " i said but it was not really over, when i was picking up the broken pieces of the phone, somebody threw a stone at the window and broke all the glasses, i was lucky the stone didn't hit me but i was not lucky enough because more stones were coming.

I rushed to wake Dad up, i tried everything i could but he was deadly asleep he did not wake up.

I rushed again to wake Reen up but she also slept like Dad . This was not normal sleeping, something bad happened to them.

Meanwhile the stones were still rolling through the window, i was being attacked all alone, all my partners were half dead.

I rushed back to Dad's room and i grabbed a torch, i switched on the torchlight and then i went to the sitting rooms window, i tried to use the torch to look at the window but i did not see where the menace was standing, all i could see were stones cruising to the window.

I thought of another way , i opened the window and flushed the light outside through the window, suddenly the attack stopped.

I opened the door to see if the attacker was the one i was suspecting but i didn't find anyone outside. I went back inside and i found Reen and Dad in my room, looking around all the mess in surprise.

"What just happened here?" Dad asked

"I was attacked" i answered, Dad and Reen were confused of what i was saying.

"Who and why was he attacking you?" He asked again.

"I don't know Dad , i tried to wake you up all but you didn't wake up!" I yelled.

"Alright, let's pack our things and get out of this place no matter what the time is" Dad said.

"I told you this place is more less like hell" Reen said while looking at Dad.

The time was 2: 30 am , we packed our things in the car and left the house. Dad was driving very fast, i have never seen him driving very fast like this, i bet he was regretting the words we said.

" slow down Dad " Reen said and Dad decreased the speed when we reached at the filling station we rested when we were going. Dad increased the speed again, he was now faster than before and i was afraid we could have an accident.

As the car was cruising very fast, we suddenly saw a dead body lying on the road, Dad hooted to see if it was going to move or it was really dead and it didn't move , it was really dead. Dad forced the car to stop before we smashed it , the car stopped immediately with full force and the Tyres were almost ready to burn.

We both got out of the car to see who or what it was, we had no idea if it was an animal or a human body. The lights of the car went off, i took the torch i used to scare away the attacker at the creepy farm house.

We moved closer to the scene but we were shocked, the body wasn't there anymore, it was dismissed. None of us believed what was happening and we were all afraid.

"Let's go quick we can't be here fo too long something bad can happen " Dad said.

We raced to the car and Dad drove away faster than the last time.

"What the hell just happened there?" Dad asked but nobody answered, we had nothing to say about what happened there, all we wanted was to get home.

We reached home and explained to Mom and Dan what happened at the the farm house and at the road.we took a rest and then we slept for a few hours.

In the morning around 10 i received a phone call from joe, h said that he wanted to talk to me about something he didn't mention. He told me to go to his house when I'm free.

I went to Joe's house after i ate lunch and i found him playing video games.

"Hey dude long time no seen" thats the first thing he said when he saw me, he invited me inside and we played video games for a while.

"Dude, what happened between you and Ellen? " joe asked.

"Is that what you called me for? Anyway nothing happened between us but yesterday i texted her but the reply wasn't cool, she said that i should never talk to her again and i don't know why she said that" i explained.

"Well she came to me and told me that she saw you with another girl holding hand and you were passing by her house" joe said.

Oh! no! I've never done such a thing, that wasn't me" i argued.

"Really , if it wasn't you then who was he?, in addition to that there's nobody who look like you in this city" Joe's speech made me silent, i was about to tell him that there is another me but i kept it for another time

"I have to go men , I'll see you another time " i said with a fake smile on my face , i had to act like everything is ok or else he would force me to tell him what the problem was , which wasn't gonna be cool.
