Zara.
I held my head in my hands as I screamed. The pain was piercing and heavy. I felt like my head was about to blow up.
I heard muffled sounds as Aminu and Kojo tried to talk to me but all I could hear were clouded noises.
It seemed as though my head was going to fall off. The pain was so excruciating that I felt myself slipping away. My body was numb as I was bent over, struggling to breathe.
Images flashed through my closed eyes in fast motion. I tried to make coherence of them to no avail. The pain was overwhelming as I still tried to concentrate on everything I was seeing. Faces I didn't know, places I had never been to. One thing stood out though, the bracelets. That was the most lingering picture.
And then it stopped. The pain, the images, they all stopped.
I let my head go, exhausted from all the pain and I finally looked up at Aminu. I noticed he was cradling me while Kojo was a little far away, taking a call.
"
Zara.Aminu had did he would be back in the room soon, so I waited for him while surfing my phone which was kept on the night stand beside the bed. This was the first time I was going to open Instagram since I woke up from my comatose position.I saw that I was following a lot of blogs and was making news headlines without knowing. The trending one was that I had just been discharged from the hospital. It read."Billionaire Aminu Garba's fiancee and Heiress to multi million dollar conglomerate Kaph Group, Zara Okafor has been discharged from the hospital following a gun shot wound to the back and one week in coma"This headline was attached to a video of me leaving the hospital with Aminu.I saw comments with people thanking God for my recovery while some couldn't get over my beauty. Their words not mine. The positivity warmed my heart so much and I was so grateful even hough I didn't know any one of them.I went through the news and saw my
Zara. Finally after everything, I had finally found the acclaimed Greek bracelet that had Aminu's name on it. Finally.I held it in my hand and became confused. The man in my dream told me to find it but never told me what to do with it to et my memories back. I thought really hard but got absolutely nothing.I decided then to just put it on and see. I waited for a few minutes for something but nothing came. I resorted to wearing it for a while. It was obvious this bracelet had some sort of supernatural powers if I was having dreams about it. So I would wear it awhile.I left the laundry room and was walking back to the room when I saw Aminu leaning against a the wall."Good Morning" I said stopping in front of him.He just looked at me up and down with a smirk "Good morning to you and my messed up room." He said. I could see a smile threatening to form on his lips."I was trying to find the bracelet that you lost" I said casually wit
Zara. So, I had just found out that my philandering cousin couldn't keep it in his pants and two other women were pregnant for him. His ex fiancée and his ex but not so ex wife. This was a flipping mess. A debacle. My pain was that Tanna was the innocent person that was getting dragged into all this. I was lost for words at the recklessness that my cousin was involved in. What in the world was wrong with him. I just knew that I needed to talk to him because even though he was an adult, this was most definitely my business. Most definitely.I had consoled Tanna whole heartedly and hen she went back to work. Her predicament was not going to be easy to handle. One thing I knew was that Louis was not going to be a jerk to my friend.I got dressed and decided to go and see my stupid cousin. Aminu was out for work related issues. He really didn't want to go but it was too urgent. Apparently Kiki had made a mistake with something and it was biting us in t
Zara I got back home after a very long and rigorous journey. My mind was already in the bedroom as my back was exhausted but the traffic in Lagos was unrivaled and wouldn't let me be great. But finally I was home, or Aminu's house. I entered the doors and saw red and pink rose petals scattered on the floor. What was that silly child up to now? I followed the rose petals up to the living room, smiling and anticipating what was waiting for me wherever the trail ended. "What is this?" I muttered before I entered the living room. The room's lights were off and there were lit candles everywhere. Aminu was nowhere in sight but the rose petals still continued up the stairs so I followed it. I was getting too anxious now and my slow steps weren't helping matters. The whole house smelt amazing which meant that the rose petals were actually real roses not fake ones. As I went
ZaraA few days had passed by since the proposal and Aminu and I couldn't get enough of each other. We hadn't left the house all the while and never got any visitors purposely. Aminu had asked the doctor if we could just travel outside the country but the doctors advised against and told him to give me more time to heal, much to my dismay. I really wanted a getaway so bad.Aminu in a bid to fulfill my wishes, organized a small couples weekend getaway at the beach house for just us, Tayo and Tiara, Lanre and Mrs Dorego which was definitely going to throw me off, and Louis and.. whoever he was bringing. I was going to tell him to bring Tanna but i decided that i wouldn't tell him what to do. We still didn't understand the dynamics of his chaotic love life but then that was his business. He also invited Kojo, much to my surprise. I was hearing talks of Kojo having a new girlfriend. Well we would see how that plays out.I hadn't taken off the greek bracelet since I
Zara"What's going on" I said looking around. It was just Kojo and his girl, what was all the fuss about?"Omo, Aminu" Tayo exclaimed again."Shhh" Aminu quieted us all not taking his eyes off Kojo who was approaching us.I decided to be quiet and observe the situation. Kojo and his girlfriend walked into the patio and he greeted everybody. I stayed quiet and noticed that his girlfriend was the one whom Aminu was staring at and she was also staring at him, half heartedly greeting the rest of the crew."Zara, what's happening, why are you so quiet. Has Aminu riled you up again?" He joked but I just wasn't in the mood."Nothing" I said to Kojo so that I wouldn't be rude. He seemed to also notice something was happening so he resorted to an introduction to his girl."So everyone, meet my new girlfriend Tu..""Tumini..." Aminu muttered.Wait, they knew each other? What the actual hell. And with the awkwardness flying around
Zara.I sat on the shores of the beach a little more, mainly because I enjoyed the wind in my ears. It was still so hard to swallow that Aminu's ex was in the same vicinity as us. I also knew that she probably didn't know that Kojo was Aminu's cousin and in so doing, didn't know who she was going to see here. All in all,I felt so insecure. Nobody knew that my memories were back yet and I really didn't want to tell anyone quite yet. I was just observing until it was the right time.My mind was still clouded with a lot of thoughts that I didn't realize Kojo coming to sit beside me until he spoke."Thinking much?" Kojo spoke making me turn to face him. His thick Ghanaian accent was a dead give away of who was speaking."Aren't we all?" I said facing the waves again.Kojo sighed "I really don't know how to feel about this whole Tumini, Aminu situation. It's so frustrating." Kojo ranted."Well, at least you kinda got your revenge." I
Zara.Aminu and I were the last get to the dining table. Louis already had a glass of whiskey or scotch in hand and was talking to Tanna, Tayo was talking with Lanre who also had a glass of Scotch in hand as well. I hated seeing Lanre and I didn't know why.Teni, Lanre's sugar mummy as I liked to call her, had already left earlier because she said this was for youngsters and had nothing to do with her. This was a couples vacation, it had nothing to do with being youngsters. Sucks for Lanre though.Tiara and Kojo along with Tumini were catching up at the table. The sight of Tumini made my stomach flip. I didn't like her one bit. The nerve of her trying to get under my skin. The table was set up already probably by the resort staff, because it had a professional touch to it. But it was Tumini that cooked the food and that irked me. I just knew that she had a motive she was trying to achieve. Who in the world would be so comfortable in her shoes. She was so
