Tue-Wednesday
Elle’s POV
Someone delivered meal trays for both breakfast and lunch. At dinner time, Axel came and took out the table that Corvin used the night they had eaten on the couch together. It was as if Axel knew every inch of their apartment. He probably did.
Axel placed the tray on the table before passing out the food between them while Arya and Elle sat on the couch talking.
“We call him Octavio. He was the eighth child of his parents, so seven siblings should have inherited the seat before him. Still, none survived. He has accepted the name as one indicating strength and resilience. But it’s strange. There was no reason he should have outliv
W Wednesday Corvin’s POV Men, wolves, and monsters came at Corvin with constant fervor. Even when one would fall, the enemy would not falter or even slow. They all shared that one thing. The one thing that bound them together; a nightmare family birthed in hate with the singular purpose of taking him out, making him suffer. That one thing? No matter how many men, wolves, and monsters he destroyed, new enemies surged forward to take the place of the fallen ones. His mother’s words had come so sweetly, innocently. They reminded him of the tenderness he knew as a child. No sooner had he accepted the loving, endearing feelings than his mother’s tone turned da
Wednesday Elle’s POV The ride to the airport was a short one, and the airport wasn’t busy. Octavio was gathering his luggage when she entered. He dressed in a black Brioni Vanquish silk suit and Louise Vuitton dress shoes, expensive but cliche. She walked up to him. He and his group of 3 eyed her like a piece of steak as she approached. She smiled welcomingly. “Good morning.” Elle greeted them. “We are excited to have you joining us for the weekend.” Octavio was still watching her figure as he grinned widely at her. “Luna CrimsonNight?” “At your service, Octavio.” She replied with a bit more confidence than she
Wednesday Remus’s POV She looked so delicious in that blue dress, and it made his stomach knot to think of her alone, especially looking like that, with Octavio. The curr was an honorless mongrel. Remus’s mate was in danger, and his instinct was to fight. She was, after all, a white fluffy bunny about to entertain a house full of ravenous wolves. He had to reach Corvin. There was no time left. Remus closed his eyes and focused on his companion. The looming danger heightened his senses, which carried his awareness downstream towards the object of his focus. ‘Corvin, my partner, my companion.’ He thought. Remus felt him trapp
Corvin’s POV Axle and Doctor Cayden also spoke to Corvin in loving, sweet tones only to poison his ears and brutalize him mercilessly. One at a time, every friend lost in battle came to torment him in the same way, ruthless and cruel. The bloody gore and penetrating pain of battle were nothing compared to the horrific, debilitating words biting through the air. Corvin had almost given up. Numerous times… The enemy surged with power and numbers as he lowered his head and weapon. Guilt and despair were the enemy’s life force. And it would never end. Every time he would falter, surrendering
WednesdayElle’s POVElle sat through lunch with Octavio and Arya. Elle didn’t understand most of what Octavio and Arya spoke about. Although, it sounded like routine pack affairs. So, she nodded when she felt it was appropriate.“I am glad that things are in order,” Octavio said, but his face said otherwise. He would have preferred to find what he had expected, chaos. Things not falling apart disappointed him. But he would never admit it.“And, you, Luna, are much more than I could have hoped.” His tone lightened, and pitch grew higher. He was excited and genuine, for once. Elle wasn’t sure wh
Wednesday Elles POV “What do you know about what I want?” She asked sharply. “New York. Parsons. Fashion design.” When he paused, she could tell in his self-pleased expression that he read her surprised reaction well. How did he know about that? “Your own apartment. Well, maybe not your own?” He asked the last question with a slickness that turned her stomach. “I don’t want to share an apartment with you.” She said swiftly. He gave her an injured look for longer than was necessary before shining his pointed teeth in a smile again. “No, but how about a new and r
Wednesday Elle’s POV It wasn’t long before there was a knock on the bathroom door that led out to her room. “Elle, you ok?” Arya asked. Without getting up from the floor, Elle opened the door and let Arya into the bathroom. Arya looked at her for a long moment. Then she dropped to her knees in front of Elle and asked, “are you ok?” Elle didn’t know what to say. She shrugged and wrapped her arms around Arya in a big hug. “If that yellow-bellied white livered bastard hurt you….” “Octavio didn’t hurt me.” Elle interrupted and gave her a forlorn smile.
Thursday-Friday Corvin’s POV Remus wouldn’t stop howling and trying to push forward. Corvin struggled to hold him back. Never before had Remus struggled for control like he did when he was around Elle, especially when he sensed her distress. After Corvin reacted so harshly, Remus had pushed until he agreed to come in here, show his appreciation for what she had done, and apologize. He had done that. It was the right thing to do anyway, and he knew it. So why was she upset now? He heard her sniffle and the crack in her voice and when she turned around, her eyes were wet and puffy. Remus attempted to surge forward again. ‘I have to help
