"Mr. Leedon, maybe you should worry about your own future!" I glanced at Matthew's message. The Leedon empire was crumbling. Tax fraud, embezzlement, and Anton's wild affairs—who else but him could end up in prison?

"Ruby, don't forget I have dirt on you," he snapped.

I chuckled. "What, that ketchup on the bed that morning, or my past?"

These people think they can threaten someone who's stared death in the face with petty lies. Just as he was about to reply, there was a knock at his door.

"Mr. Leedon, the police are here."

I whispered "goodbye" into my phone, but he didn't hear it.
