Chapter 7: Shocked, betrayed, broken

For a moment there, Edward was in a daze. To say he was shocked is an understatement. For a moment there, Edward was in a daze. To say he was shocked is an understatement.

'Cindy? Trying to pleasure him? Why? Is she, not Daisy’s best friend?'

He suddenly snapped back and slapped her hands off.

“What are you doing??” he yelled angrily, and something went off in her mind.

'Is he not extremely hard right now? He could still get angry and slap my hand off.'

Cindy looked down at her right hand, which she suddenly had to keep to herself but then, she knew she could not give up just yet. She had shown her true colours anyway, so what’s the point of pretending to act innocent and sorry?

“Look, Edward, I just want to help you. The drug used on you is very effective, and the consequences would be grievous if you don’t relieve yourself. Daisy would never know a thing. Isn’t it just tonight?”

“Were you the one that drugged me?” Edward suddenly asked as he cast a sharp murderous gaze at her that she shuddered. For a moment, she was visibly stunned, and fear engulfed her.

Then her eyes widened.

“Are you crazy, Edward? And why will I do that?” She now looked offended, but Edward remained unfazed.

“Seeing how desperate you are to have sex with me,” he scoffed, and she stared at him angrily.

“I see you now think so highly of yourself,” she was brewing with rage. “I think you need to go back to where you came from for a while to have a recap. You seem to have forgotten,” she mocked.

Edward smirked.

“I don’t mind, though. As long as I still get to see Daisy, then it's not bad," he raised his brows arrogantly with a smug on his lips.

Cindy wanted to vomit blood!

She was so enraged that even her face turned red.

‘This idiot dare turn me down and speak trash at my face? He will pay!’

She would ruin these two.

“Don’t just let me know you did it. Don’t even let it be you,” His eyes had turned so cold and devilish that her chest tightened.

“And what are you going to do?” She scoffed. She was trying so hard not to scram out of the car at that instant cause this guy right now with dark, angry eyes and dread now looked like a mad demon.

“I will hunt you down, Cindy. I’ll ruin you.”

Fear took over her, and she dropped her gaze. Then she raised back her eyes to stare at him.

“I’ll make you disappear, Edward. You will remember tonight, mark my word,” she threatened, but he chuckled instead.

“I guess you’ve never seen a madman openly chase someone on the streets. Things like that happen in Mungallala, and I’m very much used to that. I know just how to run mad. I can’t believe Daisy trusts you so much, you bitch!"

Cindy did not know whether she should laugh or cry. This guy was boasting about how mad he could become. Is this something to be boastful of? Living in Collingwood for years should have at least refined him, but he seems to have become more rouged.

Now he was even insulting her. Just whoa!

She turned to look at him and smiled dryly. “Let’s see then."

he had put on an unperturbed expression, but he sneered again in a dangerously light tone. “Get out of my car.”

She wanted to leave anyway.

Feeling embarrassed and enraged, she unlocked the door and was about to push it open when she saw Chris and two teenage girls walk out of the elevator. She froze and sat still as she held tightly onto the door handle from within.

She turned stiffly to look at Edward, who had a deep frown on his handsome face with tiny beads of sweat on his forehead. He looked like he was in so much pain and was trying so much to suppress something.

Anyway, she did not care anymore and just wanted to find a way out of the vehicle without them seeing her.

It would be troublesome if they saw her.

Edward is clearly aroused. Being seen in the car alone with him would mean something unsettling.

“You guys didn’t take the same car, right?” She asked, panicky.

Edward, who unknowingly to her had not seen them, raised his head slightly and caught sight of them. His eyes lit up immediately, but they dimed once more as he held onto the passenger’s door.

He really could not just get out and rush up to Chris cause his sisters would definitely see this huge bulge pushing widely against his jeans.

Pain flashed through his eyes. 'Why are things turning out this way?’

With shaky fingers, he immediately grabbed his phone but suddenly caught sight of the woman still in his car. She breathed out a sigh of relief when she saw the trio stop in front of a car adjacent to Edward’s.

The two girls looked pretty drunk, and Chris seemed to be more clear-headed now.

Edward gritted his teeth and spat, “What the fuck are you still doing in my car?”

“Edward, please, Chris shouldn’t see me here. Please, just let them get into the car first,” she pleaded, but he scoffed. “What do you take me for? Get the fuck down right now!"

“Edward, please,” she pleaded desperately. She now looked humble, and every ounce of arrogance had flown out of the window. But the guy shook his head adamantly.

"Get down!"

Her shoulders dropped dejectedly.

“I’m calling Chris right now! He is the only one who can help me out,” he waved his phone at her.

Hearing that, her heart dropped to her feet. Chris would see her in here then.

Edward is known to be calm and arrogant, but who would have thought he would be this vigilant regarding his relationship? It made her infuriated.

‘Ha! I would so ruin this guy.’

With her left hand on the door’s handle, she contemplated whether to just step out and bear the shame or devise an act that would dissolve the suspicion so Chris would not realize anything when he got here. But still, she was at a loss for what to do. She wasn’t the sought to have to do stuff like that or come up with a plot, but right now, she so desperately wanted to as she was in dire need of protecting her image and dignity, which she valued so much.

But suddenly, she heard Edward gasp. She snapped her head to stare at the once arrogant madman staring wide-eyed at his phone like an abandoned cat.

Edward, who had arrogantly brought out his phone to give Chris another call, had stumbled on a message that brought his whole world crashing right in front of him. As much as he did not want to believe what he was seeing, it was real and playing right before his eyes.

Cindy watched the once boastful mad demon tremble with tears suddenly streaming down his face. As much as she was mad at him, she still stared at him in shock.

What the hell is Edward seeing for him to cry like this?
