1. LIPS DO LIE

Somewhere in the middle of the night,

A black SUV stopped in front of a huge mansion out of which came two black suited men, they got down and stood at their place after a moment another car arrived and stopped behind their, from that came out other gentlemen who jolt his coat and turned around toward the two then said, "Wait here, don't enter until I ask"

By his appearance anybody can tell that he's someone very rich and powerful person, "Listen, today is the day so don't be late, let's end this for once and for all" He said over a phone call then disconnecting it put the phone back in his left pocket and took out a pack of cigarettes from his right side pocket and lit one from it, smoking the cigarette he went inside that dark mansion.

as soon as he entered in the house the guards present there rushed to him, "Lock the gates and don't open it until I say so" he give them instructions to lock down the entire mansion and not to open the doors without his permission.

Pushing a door open he enters into a small basement kind a dark room and then he asked those guards to turn on the lights of that mansion, as soon as the lights turned on someone who was already present inside that room groans in annoyance.

That's a girl, a pale and fragile looking girl in her mid-twenties with unbrushed tangled hair, dried lips, dark patchy eyes and one leg chained up with the bed, sleeping on that dark room wearing just a tank top and sweet pants in cold, locked inside a huge mansion.

She's Susan Richards the only daughter of the infamous industrialist and the mafia Michael Richards, who vanished into the thin air after blasting the business summit centre and causing millions of deaths. Nobody knows if he's actually dead or alive.

"Sleeping without me babe" That man said with a smirk while approaching near the bed to that girl who probably was sleeping soundly till now.

Without any reply she quietly got up and sit straight on the edge of the bed with legs folded meanwhile he drag a stool from a corner and sit in front of her. She had her head down looking at her lap, holding her chin he lift her face up.

"I've two news for you, one is good and the other one is very good, so which one do you want to hear first?" He said taking out two envelopes from his jacket then placed them in front of her.

She was surprised to hear something good from the man who himself brought misery into her life, she remained quiet and didn't even dared to look at those envelopes.

Not getting any response from her he himself picked one and give her to open that, she took that quietly and with her trembling fingers she opened it and found a cheque inside it.

He read her reaction through her shocked face so to put an end to her misery he spoke, "Confused? Don't be, it's your salary take it" He said raising his eyebrows like sly fox.

"Salary? for what?" She dared to look up and open her mouth to question him only to realize that what's coming next for her.

"For serving me sincerely for three years" But for her surprise he did not reacted as usual instead he replied to her calmly, she open her mouth to say something again but stopped watching him opening another envelope.

"And this is your ticket... To Mexico" He said handing over the ticket to her.

She stares at him blankly not understanding what he is doing actually, she blinks her eyes multiple times before look up at him, "Awe baby girl don't look so shocked, there's no confusion here. I'm actually releasing you from your contract, it’s over and you're free to go now" He announced as soon as she looked at him.

She looked at him with teary eyes and fell on her knees in front of him just after he finished, "Thank you! thank you so much"

He pulled her up then said, "You don't have to thank me Suzy I'm just returning your favours, this is nothing in front of whatever you've done to me. I know you love me so much then how come I can watch you in pain every day, no sweetheart I can't, that's why I've decided to let you go. All you have to do is just sign these papers for me, and that's it you'll be free" He finished and handed her some legal documents with a pen then asked her to sign those papers.

She cried in happiness holding those papers and thank all the stars and gods who finally have decided to show mercy on her, whilst he just watched her quietly lost in his own thoughts.

One by one she signed all the papers happily and returned him, “Now can I go?" She asked with a smile and got up from the bed.

He smiled back then said while checking her signatures on all the documents, "Of course you can go sweetheart, but let your guardian angels arrive first"

Her smile faded, "What guardian angel?" she asked him with horror written on all over her face.

"You'll see that for yourself" He replied without looking at her totally focused on the documents.

It didn't take her long to realise that she's been fooled again by the person whom she loved once and who betrayed her and her family just for money, "So you were lying... again! you'll never set me free I so fucking knew it" She said.

He immediately looked at her and cub her face with his both hands then said, "Oh no no no no way sweetheart I'm not lying to you, you're here because of whatever your father did to my family so just tell me where he is and you're free to leave" He asked the same question all over again but this time nicely.

Tears rolled down her cheeks again, "How will I know, I've been locked up in this room since I don't know from when or for how long so how am I supposed to know where he is right now? I don't even know if he's still alive or not"

He lost his patience, "Fine!! Then stay in here forever" Said clenching his teeth.

"No no no don't do that, don't do that please! Believe me I really don't know where my father vanished after your parent's accident, he never contacted me after that incident. Please believe me please let me go"

"Of course, I'll let you go sweetheart" He tried to coax her with his calm honey laced voice which always works on her like magic and she believes him every time but today it's not working, she tightens her jaw in anger and narrowed her eyes fixed on him with rage and pulled away his hands from her face and jumped off the bed.

"Then let me GO" She shouted aloud and started throwing everything she found in her reach.

He got up immediately and grabbed her tightly preventing from throwing things, dragging her to the bed he threw her on that and tied her up with the bed sheet and was ready to leave when he receives a phone call.

From his assistant Andy, "Sir we got something"

"What is it?"

"It's a web message on Miss Richard' phone from an insurance consumer services, CAL-9615181491 we already tried to call on that ten-digit number but it's not available. I think it's something else or like a secret code maybe"

"Got it"

Disconnecting the call, he heaves a sigh before looking at her, her half body including hands are tied with the bed sheet but she's still struggling to free herself.

He walked near again and untied her hands, "Your father is alive, if you promise to help me find him then I'll set you free right now... Like right now Suzy"

"I'll do whatever you'll ask just let me go" She said joining her hands pleading him to free her.

He smiled watching her like that and showed her the message Andy forwarded to his phone, "Then tell me what is CAL-9615181491?"

She took the phone from his hand to read that message again and again to understand what it could be, the after thinking a lot she finally broke the code and said happily,

"I think It's California, maybe he's in California"
