ADRIENNE’S POV
I was seated on the opposite side of Kathie and Christian as my mind wanders off. Nick had told me earlier that he wasn’t perfectly sure Alec remembered all that had happened Saturday night and I couldn’t help but wonder to what extent he remembers. I mean we had literally shared a kiss and it wouldn’t be fair on my part to remember that moment all alone.
After Saturday night, I had avoided Alec like a plague. I guess I couldn’t bring myself to have a conversation with him yet or even stay within the same space without my eyes drifting back to those wicked lips of his.
He did show up for some of the classes we took together and whenever we made eye contacts, he had a questioning look on his face. But I, for now, didn’t have any answer to them. So I just stare at my food and pick on it, which was odd of me since fries was one of my favorite.<
ADRIENNE’S POVI pretend to clear my throat before I finally speak up.“Sorry, I was caught off-guard. He didn’t give me heads up that our relationship was going public. He could be irrational at times.”I currently had a fake smile plastered on my face while hoping my acting skills didn’t disappoint me.“Are you kidding me?” Camille gives a short laugh in disbelief.“That’s your-”“Shh Baby, I got this.” I cut Alec’s words short, with one of my fingers over his lips.I could already see his green eyes giving me a glaring look. The worst was yet to come.“He’s crazily in love with me. What’s so hard to believe there?” I was trying to sound cool, but my choice of words
ADRIENNE’S POVIt was already late when Derek finally brings the motorcycle to a stop. The sun had completely disappeared and the sky was replaced with an almost full moon being surrounded with dark clouds. The night weather was cold and I was happy to have my hoodie around my waist. We were both standing side by side in the parking lot of an unfamiliar diner. We drove for almost an hour and that made me wonder, since when was the mansion that far from school? But it all made sense now that I was in front of a building whose sign board read ‘Macy’s Diner.’The first thought that pops into my head was whether he was hungry. But even if that was the case, did he have to drive all the way here?“Nicole loved coming here.” Funny how his cold but reserved tone often draws me out of my though
ADRIENNE’S POVThe corridor to Nick’s room was exceptionally quiet as my footsteps echoed through the whole hallway. And in a few minutes, I was standing in front of a well-furnished wooden door while hoping Nick wasn’t asleep. I knock twice on the door and on getting no response, took the initiative to let myself in.I walked into a dimly lit room with only one out of four lights on. I couldn’t remember the last time I was in a guy’s room, but it strangely felt normal. His room was large and his bed was positioned at the center.I could already see his sleeping figure on the bed but the fact that I could see a headset on his head, gave me the idea that he might not be asleep. Maybe the music was loud enough to block the sound of my knock or even the opening of his door. The room was well arranged but the corner that had his table and ch
ALEC’S POVShe left me all alone. I always knew she had a thing for Nicholas but I thought there was also something between us. Her hug brought a peaceful comfort to my racy mind and I didn’t want to separate myself from that feeling but had no choice when she had to go.Why did Halsey have to show up?
ADRIENNE’S POVI roll my eyes before giving Halsey a questioning look.He brings lily close to his face like he wanted to whisper something to her before saying loud and clear, “Our princess is angry, should we stay or leave?”
ADRIENNE’S POV“Hey, I’m Adrienne” I say with a smile as I help him pick up the few pieces of bread that found their way out of the basket.“I know,” He say a little under his breath.
ADRIENNE’S POV“How did your interview go yesterday?” Aileen asks me as I close my locker, before turning around to face her and Kathie.“What interview?” Kathie had no idea I got a part time job as her blank expressio
ADRIENNE'S POVThe feeling of Déjà vu swept through me as I took in the cool night breeze moving calmly against my skin. The road was surrounded with tall trees and only a few cars could be seen on the one-way road as cars driving towards us moved in full speed.
ADRIENNE'S POV"Are you guys being serious right now?" Alec says as he stares at all four of us with dread in his green eyes.I looked breathtaking in the sexy black tulle plunging neckline open back dress I had on which looked simple but still perfect in my eyes. The slit on one side of the gow
ADRIENNE’S POV“How are things with Alec?” Aileen asks as we both exit the schools building. Kathie had gotten a ride home with Christian and that left only me and Aileen.Quite a number of students were still hanging around schoo
ADRIENNE’S POVThe look of realization dawns on both their faces. Before Derek could speak up, the bell for next period sounds.“I’ll explain it to you during lunch,” Derek says with an assuring tone as we walk to our next c
ADRIENNE’S POVThe way his eyes twitched at the mention of her name told me it was a name he was well familiar with but why was he lying? The only explanation to this was the fact that there was something he desperately wanted to keep hidden.
ADRIENNE’S POV“What do you want?” I ask hoping this wasn’t going to be as serious as it looked to be. I still didn’t understand the reason they approached Aileen and I or what they had to do with Alec.I try to breath
ADRIENNE’S POVI approach Liam and place my handkerchief in his left hands to use and clean himself up.“This is so embarrassing,” Liam says a litle under his breath as he turns around to clean the sticky milkshake on his face and
ADRIENNE’S POVJustin looked a little taken aback as he didn’t actually expect what I said earlier to be true. He turns to face me and try to get a confirmation but I just shrug in return. He stands up looking a little bit intimidated a
ADRIENNE’S POVI woke up to a loud sound ringing inside my head. I start by opening my eyes slowly but immediately shut it due to the bright ray of light tha eflected into it. After some seconds later I finally opened it and welcomed the morning sun. Just who left the curtains opened?
ADRIENNE’S POVI open my eyes slowly as I could already feel everyone’s gaze burning holes through my skin. If i were in their shoes, i would do the same thing.“What the hell are you talking about?” Aileen ask, obviously lost, but I was in no position to answer as my hea
