"THERE'S NOTHING TO worry about," I told Brad.

He raised one eyebrow as he looked around my room. "Broken picture frames, and an awful face. You look like a hopeless idiot."

"Because I am."

He shook his head as he walked in my direction. I looked up to see him and he was standing in front of me with that serious face he was always wearing  when he was talking to someone. I didn't know why we became friends knowing how quiet and secretive he was. But there was one thing he was good at, he knew the right words to say... like Emma. I gulped when I remembered Emma.

She was crying and I knew she didn't want to leave me here. I knew her. I knew she was hurt when I told her to leave me, but I just wanted to be alone for now.
