Chapter 7

As expected, Ryan's arrogant attitude quickly shifted to desperation.

"Mr. Smith, Nicky and I are truly in love. The baby she's carrying is innocent. I'm begging you, please let us be."

I picked up the coffee in front of me and splashed it on him without hesitation. Since he wanted to put on a show, I gladly helped him out.

Ryan yelped in pain.

At that moment, someone rushed in from the entrance and shielded him protectively.

"Ryan, are you okay?"

Ryan pulled Nicky into his arms. "Nicky, Jensen says I'm the other man. He also said that the baby is illegitimate and that he's going to make you get rid of it. I was worried about you."

I watched quietly.

When Nicky's gaze shifted toward me, I cut her off. "Nicky, is this how you show me your sincerity?"

She replied meekly, "Jensen, I already lost Tara. I don't want to lose this baby too."

"So? What are you planning to do?"

Thinking there was a chance to reconcile, Nicky softened. "Jensen, you're still the most important man to m
