Damian's POV

I can feel my heart beating slowly as I hear Elsa’s voice call out to me, but I can't answer her.

I lose hold of my body, and I feel the life force drain from me. Elsa keeps calling me, and I feel the pressure on my chest.

My eyes open slowly, and I see Elsa's puffy eyes and tear-stained face. She smiles at me, and I return the smile weakly.

“Elsa,” I say in a weak voice, my throat dry.

“You're awake,” she says softly, her hand caressing my cheek. I feel her hand reach for mine, raising it to her cheek. I feel her skin, soft and warm, against my fingers.

Her face turns serious, and she faces the others.

“Get every available man and start a hunt,” I demand, my voice firm. “I want to know who did this to Damian.”

Dennis nods, his expression grim. “We'll find them, Elsa.”

I see the guards scatter quickly, eager to begin the hunt.

Dennis remains, looks at me, and softly speaks. “Do you need me to go, Luna?” He asks.

“No, please stay,” Elsa replies, looking at him.

Wasn't he here a few seconds ago? Where did he go? What's happening? “Damian!” I yell again, but silence greets me. “No,” I mouth, and I continue to search for him. I run through the passageway, ignoring the looks of the servants and guards. I have to find him; the poison is still in his system, and if he strains longer, he will hurt himself. “Damian, you stubborn rascal,” I say under my breath, still searching for him. I laugh, watching him gulp as the healer mixes the herbs into a cup and brings it to him to drink. “I got vervain. It's much stronger, and you can tell by the smell what kind of magic it can do,” the healer says. Damian takes one sniff and chokes. “Oh goodness. It smells like hell.” “It sure tastes like hell, too,” the healer responds, and I chuckle. Damian looks at me with pleading eyes but I pretend not to see him. “Go on, son. Drink it all. It'll be all over before you know it,” the healer adds. Damian looks at the cup in his hand and exhales before chunking it all down his throat. He coughs and takes a step back as he finishes the drink. He wipes his lips with his hand and spits in disgust. “Yeah, that was one hell,” Damian says. “There, now you're all better. I'll have to say you're a lucky fellow. Others wouldn't have made it through the night. Y

Caspian POV:My face hurts, and I run my finger through it, touching the delicate skin. I groan as my finger accidentally touches the torn flesh. It is good that I am a werewolf, or I would have to live with the disfiguration forever. I dip the towel in the hot water and breathe out repeatedly before placing the hot content on my face. “Aaah!” I yelp in pain. The water wasn't mixed and had been fresh out of the boiler. Werewolves need pain to heal.I stand up, walk to the mirror, and laugh as my skin begins to heal. The dimly lit study didn't feel so dark anymore. My daughter and the candle's flame synchronized, casting a flickering shadow on the wall. “Is that the best you could?” I hear Hector's voice speak behind me. You should sit in some physiology class for brains and not care for only wits,” I say, mocking him. That's for thinking I wasn't smart enough for this plan. “You're angry, I warned you about attacking, aren't you? Elsa's POVThe air crackled with the remnants of dark magic, the stench of it clinging to the stone walls of the stronghold. My fur was matted with sweat and blood, my muscles screamed in protest, but a fierce determination burned within me. We had breached the stronghold, broken through the Shadow Council’s defenses, but the fight was far from over. We still had to face the source of their power, their leader.Damien stood beside me, his golden eyes blazing with the same fierce determination that mirrored my own. We exchanged a brief nod, a silent promise to face whatever lay ahead, together. The stronghold’s interior was a labyrinth of dark corridors and crumbling chambers. The air was heavy with the scent of decay and fear. Damien's pov The roar of the battle echoed around me, a chaotic symphony of snarls, howls, and the clash of teeth and claw. My muscles burned, my breath came in ragged gasps, but I couldn’t stop. I had to keep fighting. For Elsa. For Lyra. For our pack. For our future. My task was the most straightforward, yet arguably the most dangerous: a full-frontal assault on the main gates of Eldoria. A diversion, Lyra had called it. A necessary sacrifice to draw the Shadow Council’s forces away from Elsa and her infiltration team. I knew the odds were stacked against us, but I also knew that our survival depended on the success of this distraction.I lunged at a hulking shadow wolf, its eyes glowing with malevolent red light. Its fur bristled with dark magic, making its movements faster, its strikes harder. I ducked under a vicious swipe of its claws, my teeth sinking into its flank. It yelped in pain, but retaliated with a powerful blow that sent me sprawling.I scrambled to my feet,

Elsa's pov The Whispering Falls had become a bustling hub of activity. Packs of all shapes and sizes had answered our call, seeking refuge from the Shadow Council’s tyranny. The air, once filled with the tranquil sound of rushing water, now buzzed with the murmur of voices, the clatter of paws on stone, and the occasional excited yip of a pup.I watched from a high ledge overlooking the falls, a sense of pride swelling in my chest. We had done it. We had united the packs. Damien stood beside me, his gaze sweeping over the assembled wolves, a small smile playing on his lips.“It’s…remarkable,” I breathed, still slightly awestruck by the sheer number of wolves gathered below.Damien nodded. “Lyra was right. Together, we are strong.”But even with our newfound strength, a heavy weight settled in my stomach. Uniting the packs was only the first step. The Shadow Council still posed a formidable threat, and we needed a plan, a strategy to defeat them.“What’s next?” I asked, turning

Elsa's povMy paws ached, every muscle screamed in protest, but I couldn't stop. We had to keep moving. Damien, just ahead of me, glanced back, his golden eyes filled with concern. "Elsa, we need to rest," he said, his voice low and rough.I shook my head, my breath coming in ragged gasps. "Not yet. We have to reach the Whispering Falls before nightfall."The Whispering Falls. Our last hope. Lyra had told us about it, a hidden sanctuary deep within the mountains, a place where the Shadow Council couldn't reach us. It was a long and dangerous journey, but it was our only option. The Shadow Council had regrouped, stronger and more determined than ever. They had driven us from our home, scattered our pack. We were on the run, desperate to find a safe haven. We pushed onward, the forest floor a blur of green and brown. The air was thick with the scent of pine and damp earth. The silence was broken only by the crunch of leaves beneath our paws and the occasional call of a bird.

The aftermath of the battle was a tapestry of exhaustion and exhilaration. The clearing, once a scene of chaotic violence, now bore the quiet scars of conflict. The scent of blood mingled with the crisp night air, a stark reminder of the price of victory. The pack, though weary and wounded, moved with a newfound sense of purpose. They had stared into the abyss and emerged triumphant.Damien, leaning heavily on his sword, surveyed the scene. Elsa stood beside him, her hand resting on his arm, her presence a silent source of strength. The mysterious woman, her face etched with fatigue, watched the pack with a quiet intensity."We have much to do," Damien said, his voice hoarse. The immediate task was tending to the wounded. Several warriors had sustained serious injuries, and the pack’s healers worked tirelessly, their hands glowing with a soft, healing light. The mysterious woman, whom they now knew as Lyra, approached Damien. “The Shadow Council is scattered, but not defeated

The pack had never felt so vulnerable, and the knowledge that there were more powerful enemies lurking in the shadows weighed heavily on everyone's minds.Damien and Elsa spent their days training the pack warriors, preparing them for the battles to come. They knew that they couldn't afford to be complacent. They had to be ready for anything. One evening, as the sun began to set, a lone figure approached the pack's territory. The warriors were on high alert, their weapons drawn."Who goes there?" Damien called out, his voice booming across the clearing. The figure stopped and raised its hands in a gesture of peace."It's me," the woman said. "I've come to bring you news."Damien and Elsa exchanged a surprised glance. They had not expected to see the woman again so soon."What news?" Her eyes narrowed, a flicker of anger crossing her features."He'll pay for what he's done," she muttered under her breath.Turning, she looked towards the mouth of the cave where Damien, Elsa, and Dennis had fled. A faint smile played on her lips."They're safe, for now," she said. "But this is far from over."She raised her staff, and a swirling vortex of energy opened up before her. With a determined stride, she stepped into the vortex and vanished, leaving only a faint echo of her words hanging in the air.Meanwhile, in the Crescent Moon pack...Damien carried Elsa through the forest, her head resting against his chest.
