Elsa’s POV

Dennis’s hesitation sends a shiver down my veins, and I sense something is amiss. His eyes lock onto mine, filled with concern, but he wouldn't speak.

“Are you going to talk? Or are you going to stare at me all day?” I asked, my voice dripping with force.

“I can't hide anything from you can I?” Dennis says.

“No, you can't. Not after you call me with that tone,” I respond, with the sassiest tone I could mutter.

“Dennis,” I called.

“Luna,” he answered and continued talking.

“Luna, we've received reports of a strange occurrence near the eastern border,” he begins, his voice filled with an unmistakable urgency.

My instincts kick in, and I feel my senses heighten. “What kind of occurrences? Dennis!” I press, my curiosity itching every part of my nerves.
