Chapter 4

Sarah was angry and also disappointed; her hopes were shattered; she had a lot of expectations from this job, but now everything is ruined; she will not work for that Nicholas at any cost; because of him, she is having to go through such a hard time today. She will have to find another job as soon as possible. Sarah decided to start looking for a new job immediately. She was determined to find a position where her hard work and dedication would be appreciated. Sarah knew that she deserved better than the treatment she had received at her previous job. She was ready to move on and start a new chapter in her career.

Sarah comes out of the building and gets a call on her mobile.

Sarah asked, “ Matt , what happened?"

Matthew said, “Come to the hospital right now."

Sarah asked, “Is everything okay?”

Matthew said, “Mom.”

Sarah said, “I’m coming.” She left for the hospital.

Sarah’s heart was beating fast as she reached the hospital, her mind was filled with worry about her mother. She couldn’t shake the feeling of uneasiness, hoping and praying that everything was okay.

Sarah was in front of her mother's room; some doctors and nurses were taking her mother out of the room. Matthew was standing there worried; he saw his sister and ran to her. Matthew hugs his sister and starts crying.

Sarah asked, “What happened?" Matthew replied, "It's a heart attack. Mom had a cardiac arrest while in a coma and is in a critical condition. The doctor says she needs expensive treatment quickly. They can't treat her, and the hospital bill is also outstanding if not paid on time. They will not keep her in the hospital."

“What? How can they do this? Don't worry; I will take care of everything. Okay, nothing will happen to mom; I will find a way to cover the cost somehow." Sarah was sad, but she had to remain strong for Matthew ; this is the duty of an older sister.

She calls some of her friends for money, but no one helps her.

Suddenly, she gets a call on her phone.

"Hello, am I talking to Ms. Lewis?"

Sarah said, “Yes."

"I am speaking to Hill Corporation. You have been selected as the assistant to the President, and you can join tomorrow." Sara remembers the conversation between her and Nicholas and becomes very angry.

Sarah said, "I am not interested in working for your President; tell him that." She disconnects the call.

Sarah goes to her other job and asks her boss there too She asked for advances, but to no avail.

She was walking on the road, tears flowing from her eyes, and there was no hope of help from anywhere.

Sarah said, "Sorry, Dad, I can't do anything. What should I do?"

Suddenly, it starts raining, and she stands in one place in the rain. She wants the rain to wash away all her tears and her pain. All this is becoming unbearable for her. She is responsible for this situation, and now she can't do anything to save her mother. If she had even realized that her and her family's entire lives would be ruined because of his small proposal, she would never have even looked at Nicholas.

A car stops in front of her, and out of the car comes the same man she hates.

Nicholas Hill said, “Are you seducing people by showing your body while getting wet in the rain?"

Sarah felt his words prick like a needle, but she was in no mood to fight him. She starts to walk away without saying anything, but Nicholas grabs her hand and pulls her towards him. She hits his chest.

Nicholas said, “How dare you ignore me? Who do you think you are, huh?" She replied, "You have no right to treat me like this. Stay away from me, you bastard; I don't even want to see your face. Go to hell." She pushes him away with all her strength.

Nicholas said, “ I know you need money right now, and I can help you."

Sarah said, “ I don't need any help from you; instead of taking help from you, I will sell myself for money."

“Shut up!!! He shouts

"Leave me"

"Let's make a deal. I'll pay you, and you'll work for me."

Sarah said, “Never."

With this, she frees herself from his hand and runs away from there. Nicholas stands in the rain and watches her go.

Sarah and Matthew were forced to bring her mother back home from the hospital; it was their compulsion.

Matthew was sitting next to his mother and crying. Sarah places her hand on his shoulder and

Sarah said, “Don't worry, everything will be fine."

Matthew said, “What would be fine? You know very well that nothing would be fine; if mom stayed here, her condition would be worse; you should not have quit your job; you should not have liked that bastard; if you stayed away from him, perhaps today's situation would have been different; perhaps everything would have been fine then." He shouted and left from there, and tears fell from Sarah's eyes because, in these 4 years, Matthew  never blamed her; he never said that it was all her fault, and today her brother also left her side.

She comes out of the house and starts crying. She feels utterly alone and abandoned.

Sarah said, “It's all my fault, and I have to fix it.

Nicholas pov

I rejected that girl. How strange is it? Now she dares to ignore me. She shouldn't have done that. I'm Nicholas Hill. How dare she treat me rudely? I can ruin her if I do. If I want, no one has the courage to touch me without my permission, and that girl slapped me, I will teach her a good lesson, and I will make her life hell.

The cabin door opens, and Sarah comes inside.

Sarah said, “The deal is accepted."

Nicholas smirk Nicholas said, “How much money do you want?"

Sarah said, “ I don't want money; I want you to get my mother treated with the best treatment, and in return, I will do anything you say."

Nicholas said, “Anything?""

Sarah said, “Anything." Nicholas smirks.

Sarah has to work for Nicholas even if she doesn't want to; she was doing all this just for her mother.

The next day, she goes to Nicholas's office, and Nicholas is already there.

Nicholas said, "You are my assistant, so you should have come to my cabin before me. This is your first and last mistake.

Sarah said, "Sorry, sir; I will take care of it."

Nicholas said, "You will come tomorrow at 6 a.m.."

Sarah said, “So early in the morning?" Nicholas said, "Yes, and don't be late."

Nicholas said, “Princess, if you want to work, you will have to say goodbye to sleep; I am not paying you just like that."

Sarah said, “Okay, sir (coldly)."

Nicholas said, “ I have a meeting in 5 minutes. Go and prepare."

Sarah said, “Prepare what?"

Nicholas said, “Are you a dump? Don't you know what the job of an assistant is? Go and look at my schedule and all the meetings and client list, and don't give me a reason to get angry because I am not some ordinary businessman, and for an idiot assistant, I don't want to lose my deals because of this." Nicholas says it rudely.

Sarah gets angry, but she has to bear it. Sarah said, “Sorry, sir; I will do all the preparations now. Sarah leaves from there, and Nicholas smiles.
