Kneel down

"You.." Grace pointed a finger at Bella, while lying half down on the floor. She is bleeding from her forehead, and she looked weak.

When Bella looked at Grace like that, she felt sorry. She forgot about what she did to Bella and immediately rushed to help her up.

"Grace? How did you fall? Are you alright?" Bella asked while trying to help Grace from the floor.

To Bella's shock, Grace smirked.

"Fool, shouldn't you be angry and ignore me? You are too soft and weak. People like me are sharks who are ready to shred you into pieces. Just like how I am about to do now" Grace announced triumphtly.

Bella was stunned. She was not used to these kinds of tactics from anyone before. So it didn't even crossed her mind that someone would hurt themselves to make others look bad until she stumbled upon Grace.

"What?" Bella whispered in shock.

Grace prentended to cry and beg immedietly changing her colours like a Camelion.

"Please Bella, Don't kill me. I will leave Aiden and this company. Please don't kill me Bella" Grace begged Bella loudly. Her high pitched wailing and begging caught the attention of everyone who were passing by. Immedietely the staircase was flooded by employees who looked as stunned as Bella when they watched the scene.

When Bella understood what was happening, she immedietely let go of Grace. That was a wrong move. Because Grace fell on the floor and looked like Bella pushed her again. This time everyone witnessed it themselves. Everyone were pointing their hands at Bella with shock.

'She is indeed spoiled'

'How can she hurt Grace so brutally?'

'I wouldn't have believed this if i haven't seeen this today'

The commotion alerted everyone in the company. Someone infromed Aiden about this as well. When Aiden saw Grace drenched in her own blood, his blood boiled. He approached Bella and slapped her again.

"How did you become so vicious? Are you palnning to kill Grace?" he scolded her furiously before lifting Grace up from the floor in his arms.

Just before leaving, he glared at Bella.

"Kneel down infront of Grace's cabin till evening. No one is to help you or even offer you water to drink. This is your punishment" he passed orders before taking Grace to the hospital to get her injuries treated.

Amelia rushed to the stairwell and pushed everyone away. She is the only one who still believed that Bella is innocent.

"Get out of here. Don't you all have work to do?" she snapped at them before escorting Bella out of there. But Amelia didn't get a chance to ask what happened. Because two security personels came and halted them on their way.

"Mr. Fauler instructed us to make sure that Ms. Adams would serve her punishment with out any preferential treatments" one of them told in a monotonous voice.

These security guards have been seeing Bella for four years now. They know Bella is sweet. Yet they couldn't go against the direct orders of the boss. One of them is in his early fifties and treats Bella like his own child.

"Uncle Clark, i didn't push her" Bella whispered to the older man in a desperate attempt to explain herself.

Clark felt sad for the young girl, but he is not in any position to help her out of this.

"I am sorry my girl, i cannot help you today" he replied softly and touched Bella's head in an attempt to let her know that he believed her. But he cannot help her.

Bella's tears started to flow freely now. She is sad and felt lonely. She never felt this way even when she lost her mother. Because then, she foolishly used to believe that Aiden is there for her. But how wrong was she.

And her punishment began. She has to kneel down infront of Grace's cubicle for eight hours. And she did. She didn't eat or drink anything. BUt the other employees came to mock her and hurl insults at her the entire day. Even Amelia couldn't help her or neither did Uncle Clark.

In one of the hole in the wall apartment buildings in the shady parts of the city, Kai glared at his enemy coldly.

"How foolish? You thought you could get away with this? You came to our territory and selling our infromation to your men? Its a risky move if i might add" Christian spoke harsly. The man who is in his early thirties glared at Christian.

"You think you are invisible? No, you are not. My brother will come here for retribution. He will not let this slide so easily. You will regret ever touch...." the enemies rant was cut short and a scream errupted from his mouth when a sharp dagger was lodged in his shoulder, cutting him off sharply. Kai wiped the blood of his hands to the man's shirt.

"We are not invisible. We are powerful. And we can chop you into pieces and send you packing to your brother. Lets see what he would do. No one dares to cross me and live to tell the tale" Kai snapped at the man coldly. He nodded at Nikolas, who understood what was supposed to do.

Kai turned away and left the small apartment which was too small and dirty. This small matter doesn't need Kai's presence. But he wanted to give a warning to his enemies about what he would do if they cross him.

Christian followed after Kai.

"Where is the girl?" he inquired casually. No one knows where Kai took the girl and they didn't find her Kai's place that morning either. Christian is worried that Kai might have dumped her somewhere on the streets last night. Kai is known for his coldness. The fact that he didn't kill her was surprising to everyone.

Kai didn't even bother to look at Christian before he folded inside his sleek black car and zoomed past the neighbourhood.

Kai looked at the file that has been sitting in the passenger seat since last night. He never liked to share the deatails of his personal life with anyone, not even his uncle.

He remembered the night he had with her, and he still couldn't forget her scent that kept assualting his senses since last night. Her moans, her voice, her body, her everything. He couldn't forget about her no matter how busy he kept himself. He is master of hiding his feelings, so no one knows what he was thinking. He personally dropped her off near her aunt's place last night after he was done with her. He didn't had to, but still he did. He already knows everything there is to know about her.

'Bella Adams' her name rang in his head, just like it has been doing since last night. As if summoned, he saw her walking on the side walk alone. He wanted to drive past her and ignore her. But something in her body launguge screamed vunerability. And the way she was walking was different too.
